  1. There are screens around the ship, mostly near elevators, that allow you to use the locate function. Those booked in your cabin are automatically available for you to use the locate function. Those in other cabins must somehow give you permission to do so, but I do not know that process.
  2. Congrats on it working for you. When I tried to do that on the Ruby Princess after going through a number of steps, the TV said said to use the app to see the folio.
  3. My picture was posted to show you were correct.
  4. Princess Cruises Frozen Rum-Infused Piña Colada Soup Piña colada soup recipe (5 Servings) Ingredients: 1 1/3 lbs (or 2 1/2 cups) pineapple (keep some dice for garnish) 1/2 cup sugar, granulated 6 tablespoons lime juice 1 1/3 cup coconut milk 3 oz coconut flakes 1 tablespoon rum (optional) 1 1/2 cups plain yogurt 2 1/2 cups sour cream 5 pieces pineapple, for garnish With 1 tablespoon of rum in 5 servings, that means 1/5 of a tablespoon per serving. No wonder most people cannot taste the rum.
  5. That is what is now listed as Vanilla-Chocolate Banana Sundae. Pictures of it make it appear smaller than the Volcano was, but with the same ingredients.
  6. Like I did, you need to be on a cruise ship and go to Passenger Services where they can stop that perpetual loading. If I try to log on with my booking number I am told "This booking has already been claimed."
  7. To quote a recent Princess brochure: "Over $950 value on a 7-day cruise when you buy Princess Plus"
  8. You are correct. I noticed my error in re-reading it this morning.
  9. When I was on board I pressed an option on the app and it then said it was "loading". I could not get it out of that mode. A day later it was still "loading" so I went to passenger services where someone was able to stop it. This was with an up-to-date version on a recent Android operating system.
  10. The discontinued package had a limit of 15 specialty coffees which almost everyone was satisfied with. No need for most people to give that up for a more expensive package with unlimited specialty coffees. And it can't be because the computers have to keep track of how many specialty coffees you have had since they have no problem keeping track of how many alcohol drinks you have had. No, just limiting you to one piece of underwear a day with the free laundry.
  11. Yes, that is 100% the rule. When people for one reason or another have managed to get 2 stockholder's benefits for one cabin, it is a computer glitch that Princess has not fixed and one that no customer is demanding to be fixed.
  12. "Coffee lovers will be ecstatic about Princess Cruises’ newest addition to the beverage package lineup, the new Grounds Coffee Package, which covers espresso-based beverages and teas." Not as ecstatic as we were with the discontinued package which also included non-fancy brewed coffee and hot chocolate and also cost less.
  13. Not really a stretch. If thousands do not use the app, then they have no problems with it.
  14. Before the recent price increase from $10/day to $15/day, if booked pre-cruise the Platinum/Elite discount was only allowed if booked pre-cruise and possibly on embarkation day. With the increase to $15/day, the discount is the same now pre-cruise and on board. Now this is for entire-cruise pricing. If buying individual days while on board, the price is higher, but Platinum/Elite still get a 50% discount on that price.
  15. It used to be scheduled at a time which allowed those at the first traditional seating to be finished with dinner and before second seating started so that those from both seatings could attend if desired. With TD no longer existing, the scheduling is no longer coordinated with any particulat dinner time.
  16. The main restrictions come from Texas law saying any alcohol beverage sold in Texas (including on cruise ships in Texas waters) must have been sold to the retailer from a Texas based distributor. Since Princess normally gets its alcohol beverages from outside of Texas, none of that supply can be sold while in Texas waters, Thus Princess is forced to purchase some supply from Texas distributors toi be served until leaving Texas waters. To minimize its costs, the variety of beverages it purchases this way is very limited. The reason for this law is that the beverage distributors have a great influence with Texas lawmakers. Normally thhe ship is out of Texas waters by dinner time and all brands on the ship can then be served. We were on one cruise when the ship could not depart until about 10 the next morning and there were many very unhappy wine drinkers at dinner the first evening because of the very limited choices available. And I read of one Princess cruise a few years ago that came into port before dinner the last evening due to approaching storms. So that last evening (including at dinner), alcohol choices were again very limited around the ship. By the way, if you purchase any alcohol to take home while on the ship or at a port stop and are disembarking in Galveston, Texas wants to collect the Texas alcohol tax from you when you leave the ship. There will be a table after you collect your luggage and go through customs where you are supposed to stop and pay this tax. The tax is due even if you are going straight from the ship to the airport to leave Texas.
  17. On airplanes they do edit scenes with plane crashes.
  18. It has always been calling Room Service for us, as recently as last December. I think in the past if you asked the cabin steward, he.she just called Room Service for you.
  19. Not glued together. You can go early and watch them build the tower.
  20. Currently on the Princess web site "Yes, you can make changes on board through CrewCall Chat or by dialing room service. Mini bottles of liquor can be exchanged for either the same size of a different type of liquor or beer on a one-to-one basis. You can also exchange the entire setup for: a bottle of wine, coffee cards, sodas only or waters only."
  21. Ruby only had one person when we were on it at the end of December.
  22. What I had in quotes was exactly what the communication said.
