  1. Kinda looks like this - there's a 2 top near by but mostly club type seating.
  2. Yes. They can also accommodate arrival a month early and a month late. Also you can select different arrival or departures than those close to a port. We often fly to Scotland a week or 2 before a cruise and then book a flight to the cruise independently ( (Southampton, Rome or Amsterdam)
  3. Didn't see an answer to your questions. There is no place to play pickleball. Originally there was a Basketball Court where they offer pickleball on some ships. During revolution it was removed and became part of the Retreat Sun Deck.
  4. They only offer one service by the hour and it is Premium. The same for your Elite and above Minutes
  5. My experience is that it depends on the ship and the butler. Just ask and they will let you know.
  6. Almost all ports now have WiFi in the terminal at most ports. Also in most towns there are usually some hotspots. If you are Elite or Above you will have free minutes you can use on your device or ships computer. If you want by the Hour or By the Day (both continuous not ad hoc) 34.00 for one hours or $67.00 for one day. I have T-Mobile and they have free Data in about 200 countries. Other carriers sell day passes
  7. My understanding is that the Magic Carpet was a disaster for dining at sea and they discontinued the dinners there. The winds were just too strong. They do however often open up for both special meals and luncheons while in ports and on overnights. On a recent cruise they had a special Seafood / Lobster meal on the Magic Carpet on an over night port. They lowered it to Deck 5 and had a special Entrance adjacent to Raw on 5. There was a red carpet leading to it.
  8. Was recently on a New England and Quebec cruise. I sat next to the Food and Beverage Director at a Zenith Lunch. He said he sourced the Lobster with Canadian Lobster for Lobster Night for all venues. He said tried to get NE but due to the quantity he needed and was out of season for NE had to settle on Canadian. He said NE were tastier and larger but the Canadian ones were the preference by price. I had both Canadian and New England Cruise. All were whole lobsters and I would say that I found New England sweeter and more tender. I'm not an expert but when in University I spent a summer working at a Lobster Restaurant in New England and would prep upwards of 1,000 a day. Definitely had a lot of lobster sandwiches that summer. Maybe I'm partial to New England.
  9. To get the discount you have to Call into Captain's Club. Alternatively you can wait until on the ship. Internet shows up in the app with discounted price and just click the one you want. Same for Drink Packages - any bar will do it for you and apply your discount.
  10. I've noticed that after the shut down Flights by Celebrity has mostly shifted to refundable fares due to getting stuck with all the non-refundable. I do see some good deal occasionally but most of the time I only find the same fare that I can get with the airline. The main advantage of Flights By Celebrity now is that you can book it about a year in advance and not pay anything until final payment. Downside is once final payment - even with a fully refundable fare FBC charges $100 pp administrative fee to change or cancel a flight.
  11. All ships I've been on had bar "Facial" soap in the bathrooms an almost if not all have pump bottles in the showers. I don't like body wash and just ask for additional bar soap to use in the shower.
  12. Enjoyed reading your review. S-Class ships are my favorites in the Celebrity Fleet. If the OP thinks Solstice is small they should definitely stay away from the M-Class which are even smaller. I respect your opinion would suggest that possibly Celebrity is not the cruise line for you. I on the other hand love all their ships and can't imaging the MegaShips of RCL and Carnival. We sail about 3 months out of the year and have never been bored but don't want or expect solid activities, roller coaster, slides etc etc. The beautiful thing about cruising is the choices are out there for almost all tastes.
  13. I haven't seen any iWatch on any of the ship since before shut down. When they do have product it is sold at the U.S. Retail price (no Sales Tax). Occasionally when really old stock they have been known to discount.
  14. I find over the years that every time they have a big sale or new deployments their IT Department blows up various functionality. Hopefully they will correct the deletion of functionality.
  15. Officially they say 21 days prior to cruise. Lately they have been open as much as 75 days prior to cruise.
  16. Enjoying your live post and have pulled up a chair.
  17. Wondering if you transferred to an TA. I know I have in the past been able to cancel if I owned the reservation but once transferred that option went away.
  18. Maybe they thought a Porthole was an Ocean View and didn't understand a Porthole Veranda on an E class is a Verandah
  19. You might get more response and possibly find others with open slots by joining the roll call for you cruises. You can then discuss with other. I've always founds someone offering slots in private tours they have booked.
  20. Yes you can use it for Tips. The way things work on the ship. If you don't have ppd tips then each day they charge it to your seapass. All charges whether spa, tips, internet etc are first applied against NR OBC and when all the Non-Refundable will be applied against any Refundable OBC and once that is used up will be applied against your CC on file. You can also use it to leave additional tips by going to the Customer Service desk and ask for a form.
  21. Can understand the concern. Curious as to when you learned of the Terminal Change? Was it the day of the cruise or a couple days before?
  22. Another question would be whether you had CruiseCare (Celebrity) or Insurance from an outside agency. Also what the cause for the missed cruise.
  23. I love the UK but would choose the Scandinavian. For a first European trip it would give you a good balance of a foreign language cruise where everyone speaks English. It would also give you a touch of culture that is different from the U.S. / UK which you could experience at home.
