  1. I never thought ovation would go to L.A. , I was thinking Quantum . Quantum ,dry dock in Singapore later this year and get shore power fitted. Navigator to Brisbane would be a good repo.
  2. To be honest it changes,at the moment it’s $8.90 cap Friday to Sunday. Through the week it’s about $16.80 from memory. Which is still cheap unlimited travel ,anywhere a couple of hours from Sydney . It was $6 weekend then before that it was $2,50 . I don’t know if a overseas tourist can get it but if you are over 60 like I am it’s $2.50 cap all year round. You have to go to one of their business offices and get a Opel card.
  3. That’s October to December 2025 , I don’t know.
  4. I was chatting to someone about those bookings in Brisbane for Voyager ,25-26 season. They speculated it’s Navigator and Voyager is going back to east coast U.S. That could add up if Quantum gets shore power fitted and goes to L.A.
  5. Watsons bay is good, ferry wharf 5 to Watsons Bay and walk to south head . A easy hour walk return and there’s a nudist beach!! Just turn left at the wharf and follow the shore ,the best view in Sydney from south head but do it before lunch as in gets busy.
  6. I don’t know what your plans are but there’s a $8,90 cap on all public transport across Sydney, today,Saturday and Sunday. You can use your credit card as an electronic ticket and ride the ferries, trains and buses all day for $8,90 . You won’t get a better deal in Sydney .LOL
  7. Are you going back to the islands on Brilliance or getting on Ovation Sunday?
  8. It’s a bit like feeding sharks. Just keep throwing burley in the water and the sharks will just brainlessly bite it . or in this case the punters will brainlessly buy it .
  9. Vicky Freed says April for the remaining deployment ,I would say that’s us. She still has Ovation deployed in Hawaii and Quantum in Alaska.
  10. We should find out next month what’s going on with west coast U.S.A. and that will reflect Australia. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2025_2026/2025-2026_Deployment_Opening_Schedule.pdf
  11. I don’t wear a lanyard !! If I did it would be a Princess one just annoy the pineapples . LOL
  12. It is a dump but I like Noumea , I tried to down play it. one of my best memories is watching some exquisite islanders ladies with a exaggerated French flair. Smoking and drinking at a bar in lemon bay. It is part of the E,U.
  13. The war museum is worth a look it’s just 5 minutes walk from where the shuttle drops you off ,they only take local cash. Apparently there was million US troops there . https://www.newcaledonia.travel/nz/noumea/world-war-two-museum
  14. You’re in Noumea tomorrow , Noumea is pretty unimpressive . As someone called it a mining town that just happens to be in the middle of the pacific. The ship docks a industrial wharf and you are shuttled into town which isn’t much to talk about. Unless you do a tour ,there’s a cruise ship bus that does a loop of the area. Lemon Bay is probably the highlight and there’s some nice bars. We always go to La Barca .
  15. This is a local agent ( which I can’t name) they have a live website connected to Royal Caribbean. It is for sale but prices aren’t available. Today 14 January
  16. V Lavender is great,it’s booked out when I’m there . We got the Paradox in Clark quay,it’s in the middle of everything. It was $500 a night for 3 people. A friend got the ibis in Clark quay for $140 a night for 2 .
  17. That app is pretty useless, log into the cruise planner.
  18. I just booked accommodation 10 months out for the Quantum repo . Its one less thing to think about.
  19. I’ll confirm windjammers, walk around and if something looks half decent you try it and go back for more. MDR can be a lucky dip .
  20. It’s a little hard to work out that website. Is It listed in cairns or the anchorage?
  21. Somehow I have a feeling Icon of the seas won’t be coming through the Suez Canal anytime soon.
