  1. I will stay out of that argument but people that seem to know ,tell me it is. But I don’t really know.
  2. There’s very little obstruction, only looking down you will see a obstruction.
  3. On the subject of celebrity,Qantas has a great deals on Celebrity cruises out of Japan ! Qantas is a airline not a agent,I don’t believe I’m breaking CC rules.
  4. Navigator only takes a extra 900 passengers or so . Its got things for the kids ,water slide, laser tag,ice skating, teens club. Apparently Navigator hasn’t been selling very well in L.A. .the itinerary is very limited. But let’s see ??
  5. The ships sailing from L.A. Must have a temporary exemption from the PVSA . They are just doing circles or cruises to nowhere,I don’t know how long that will last for long .
  6. I would bet my last Crown & Anchor drink it’s a place holder . Wonder?? I see Sydney is now showing Rhapsody instead of Brilliance for the 23-24 season. I wish they would make up their mind.
  7. So why couldn’t it do longer cruises? If things don’t calm down, there’s going to be a big announcement. Sales are bad and drug cartels with guns aren’t going to improve things. Plus Royal won’t be taking passengers to a place that the state department say to reconsider to trip. I think Navigator is the most revamped Voyager class,it could be good here. Certainly give P&O and carnival a run for there money over winter.
  8. Apparently so. I wasn’t the most economical and best service but it was something. It really needs some kind of regular service. You would think sydney ports would put something on.
  9. I emailed them and It doesn’t look as if they are going to resume the service, the boat is doing something else. I hope something pops up .
  10. Apparently Navigator and Carnival Radiance are only doing technical stops at Ensenada just to satisfy the PVSA. I don’t believe they are letting passengers off.
  11. It looks like it’s starting to hit the fan in Mexico . https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/cartel-threatens-weekend-of-mass-violence-in-all-of-northern-baja/
  12. Navigator wasn’t selling very well to start with and Royal was cautious about Baja California . I believe the reason the pulled out before was civil unrest. I have no idea of a Asian Island?
  13. If they can’t fix quantum we will definitely be getting Navigator . https://www.cbs8.com/article/travel/new-travel-advisory-impacting-tijuana-and-rosarito/509-9ffaad7d-c424-4efe-b1ae-7adbb2fc2479
  14. No ,it seems to have stalled. From what can find ,only a well and a solar power system is being put in for the village and that’s done by foreign aid.
  15. That’s why I think it would be a voyager class , if they do. Voyager is in a bit of a twilight zone . It’s to big to get into ports like Baltimore,Tampa or New Orleans. But then it’s to out of date for the big ticket ports that get premium price. They could afford to have a older ship at lower capacity for a trial. Gavin Smith Said they want a ship here year round and the rumour is Royal has got there shore side provider working on Brisbane with the logistics.
  16. Speculation of the seas year round in Brisbane.
  17. Can’t you just make something up Graham, you know just tell what we want to hear.
  18. @gbenjo You might be able to get some inside information. I was told by a CLIA rep that intercuise or the shore service is working on deployment of a ship year round in Brisbane for Royal Caribbean. Any word ?
  19. Apparently voyager will fit into trinity inlet in Cairns but Royal Caribbean won’t take it in. I was reading Ports north supplied the relevant information to both RCG and Carnival but they declined to take anything over 300 meters. They said the channel isn’t wide enough if a wind pops up.
  20. The word is a ship year round in Brisbane 2024 . Im trying to find out which ship . My thoughts are it will be a Voyeger class and the only one that hasn’t been to the pacific is Adventure of the seas.
  21. I don’t know if this has been posted yet. https://southpacificislands.travel/new-caledonia-amongst-72-countries-worldwide-that-have-no-covid-19-travel-restrictions/?utm_source=SPTO&utm_campaign=b9d2a96e02-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_08_09_11_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a52e4ef901-b9d2a96e02-1401157377
  22. I can’t think of any public transport to white elephant? I think the new metro has a station at Balmain, I don’t know how that would go?
  23. No it’s not running yet but maybe for the coming season. I think it was $14 ,not that bad but still not circular quay. Cairns airport has shuttles into town and a cab is about $18. Stay the night and 5-10 minute walk to the terminal . How good is that.
  24. I don’t think I will be holding my breath mick. Unless the cruise lines kick in some cash,it won’t happen for a while.
  25. I can see your point but I don’t think the population around the area would fill the market. A lot of people will have to fly and I would rather fly the bit extra to a lovely departure town. Cairns is pretty close to the distance from noumea as Brisbane is ,about 2 days sailing time. Cairns is closer for the Asian and U.S. travellers. Brisbane badly needed a good terminal but it has something missing.
