  1. Correct. It doesn't happen often but they can change your cabin before it is officially assigned.
  2. I kinda figured. Thanks for rubbing it in. I can't wait to hear what $40-90 pizza tastes like. 😁 You deserve it... and I'm perfectly content going back to my favorite spot strategically located walking distance from a grill, a snack shack, and a bar.
  3. Panic, calm, valid points, different views... I don't even care at this point. People are just beating the corpse of a long-dead horse with the stuff posted in threads like this.
  4. Can't say I'm surprised. Everything Icon-related is a pass for me. Now if I was invited to a 3 day media cruise... 🤣
  5. Yep. I would have checked it out for free but was mostly just hoping it would increase capacity to make up for the increased number of people on the island as more bigger ships will be there together... which it still will, of course, but not sure to what extent. I'm just hoping the schedule doesn't change as my next 3 Wonder cruises have us there alone. I got worried when the Celebrity ships were added but I managed to dodge them so far. I've been there 3 times with 2 Freedom class ships and had no issues with the crowds but I'm not sure what the tipping point would be for us. We're pretty laid back and not bothered by much but at some point it would have to feel crowded.

  7. Can this just be locked already? We know it's headed there eventually.
  8. Packaged? You can pay for Powerade in a bottle, not sure about much else. Most included beverages (ice tea, lemonade, flavored water, etc.) are all served from a dispenser into cups.
  9. That makes sense since it’s now appearing in the cruise planner. My March Wonder cruise…
  10. I'm set in my ways (at least early morning on cruises), no fretting (I'll just be mildly annoyed if Park Cafe opens 30 mins later). Wife goes walking on the track almost every morning (now that she retired from running), very early. I go to the DL and hope the coffee machine is prepped and functional for cappuccino, then off to Park Cafe for my "pre-breakfast." When we went on Indy last year after almost nothing but Oasis class for years, I had to come up with a new morning routine... tough life indeed!
  11. Interesting. It was still 6:30am on Wonder in June. I don't sail again til March so I'm not exactly worried about exact timing right now. Who knows what will change by then? Thanks though.
  12. Just about everything is better in the early morning hours, IMO. I still like getting to Park Cafe when it opens at 6:30am for an egg sandwich or bagel... and the peacefulness of a quiet, empty Central Park. That's when I found myself there. Nice option for an afternoon snack.
  13. No show requires reservations on any ships besides Oasis & Quantum class AFAIK.
  14. Yeah, almost booked one yesterday but wife wouldn't commit to it.
  15. Try the port of calls forum.
  16. Feel better! My wife gets those congestion-type illnesses pretty much every year (since long before Covid and unrelated to cruising, of course). Some combo of sinus issues and teaching 5-year-olds. She's been congested for at least a week. It just lingers and annoys the crap out of her. Knock on wood, I almost never catch anything from her.
  17. Because there is covid on every ship and every sailing. These reports of I was on XYZ OTS on a certain date and people got sick don't serve much of a purpose.
  18. You can also use this link once onboard to see the paper compass in PDF form… https://minio.rccl.com/compass/cruisecompass.pdf
  19. You can find this info in the app but it should be roughly 5-9pm or something close.
  20. Some people don't mind the same things or have the same preferences as you do. FWIW, as someone who almost exclusively sails on full Oasis class ships, I don't have any problem getting around the ship nor do I bump elbows.
  21. Didn't want to quote the while thing but I obviously read it. Sorry you went through all of that. Keep an eye on the GGG sale once you move. There are still occasional good deals if you're flexible. If my wife was willing, we would have booked Mariner for 7 nights next month for around $1200 after taxes & fees. I was actually e-mailing my TA when it disappeared. My wife said she'd think about it but it wasn't going to happen so I'm not too upset, lol.
