  1. I agree with Thrak. We've never experienced any problems usually associated with being close to elevators.
  2. 80 Francisco is the Princess recommended parking. Scroll down to San Francisco https://www.princess.com/learn/cruise-destinations/cruise-ports-and-hotels/
  3. And for all of you "Winos" out there: Even Port is Red. Even numbers and red running lights on the port side.
  4. Where does it say Harding and Park West have acces to our credit card information? I've never used the auction, but bought at the stores and never received a bill from anybody except Princess. I haven't cruised since April, but never had to authorize anyone except Princess and I agree with the OP that authorizing Radiqal is disconcerting. I wonder if it pertains to Princess Premier? "Win a Prize for Unlocking Your Cabin Door, No Casino Presence Required". Yeaaa! @Flyinby, by any chance did you book Princess Premier? I have not cruised since Princess Premier came in, maybe that is why I've never seen it.
  5. New crew are Quarantined in the same area of the Aloha Deck.
  6. NEVER "brag" about your cruise experience. There is only one person (or couple) that can get away with that. YOU are not that person. I will concede that you have sailed on more cruise lines than we have. 'Nuff said.
  7. The unanswered question is "how long will this last"? How many of these passengers are just trying to burn through FCC`s? Will they be willing to pay full price for a limited experience. We are in this category, cruised for "free" (actually money already spent) and found it "forced". We've had enough. We still have thousands of dollars in FCC`s that we more than likely will lose. Call it our contribution to the cause. 🤑
  8. Actually, the door close button on elevators for years have an ADA timer that has to be "activated" to give ADA passengers in the elevator lobby a chance to get to the elevator before inconsiderate people push the door close button without checking to see if anyone is on the way. Hopefully someone in the technical department on the Sky Princess will notice that and "activate" the delayed door time. It is just clicking the feature in software.
  9. They must have heard you. I just tried it, both not signed in, and signed in. I received a couple of different errors, mostly "current pricing not available".
  10. Actually it has been on the Royal since Day 1. We dealt with it on the Maiden Trans Atlantic voyage.
  11. That is a good problem to have. Too many people retire with nothing to do.
  12. Very true, I have a dedicated adapter for my "polarized" bathroom night light. I have to cut down on all of the extras that I cruise with. I even have small weather station and outdoor thermometer that "talks" to the weather station. What the heck, I'm having fun with all of my stuff.
  13. It is definitely not surge protected. Nary a word about surge protection on it. No reset button, nothing at all on it like a surge protector. I keep it with my CPAP accessories, extension cord etc. So far, never a problem. I hope that you haven't jinxed me. 🙃
  14. See post # 3 about the voltage. I'm assuming your CPAP is for use in the U.S. so this works nicely. IT IS NOT SURGE PROTECTED. Yes, it is false advertising, but in our favor. Surge protected devices are a lot more expensive. I pull the bed away from the wall, pull the lamp plug out, plug the multi outlet in, plug the lamp and my CPAP in, push the bed back, no muss no fuss. Both the European lamp plug, and the U.S. CPAP plug fit the all purpose plugs on the Multi Outlet. I've used mine many times, on many Princess ships. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MNRCOPC/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_8?smid=A3RLCN2TUIB9BN&psc=1
  15. Wow! Do you realize how many times you used I or We? Isolation is not about you. It is for the protection of the Crew and your fellow passengers. Be honest, if you see someone else coughing, I'll bet you think that they are being selfish exposing you to the virus.
  16. Could be an honest mistake believing that onboard purchases are duty free. I don't know for sure myself, but without checking, I thought that they are duty free. But then again, I'm not a big spender in the stores.
  17. There is a big difference between "looks like " (possibly, but not sure) and "shouting" with the blue bag and/or lanyard around your neck.
  18. I would wait and see if he calls back. Then you will know if his intensions were good and you can have him cancel and return your FCC's. If he doesn't call back today, call and have whoever answers cancel for you.
  19. This 89% crew for 83% passengers is deceiving. This 89% includes behind the scenes crew, Deck, Engineering, and Technical for example. These positions pretty much have to be fully manned no matter what the passenger load is. Watches have to be stood, and bearings oiled no matter what the passenger percentage is. It is hard to cut corners crew wise here. The ship has to be pretty fully staffed to run safely and continuously. So crew serving passengers can, and obviously have been cut back in a much larger percentage. Just my 2 cents worth.
  20. I have to give you credit for being so flexible. To me, all of those compromises do not constitute a vacation. We have cruised 47 days on 5 cruises out of San Francisco and Long Beach. I ended up isolated for 9 of 15 days with Covid on our last cruise. Things went very well early on. No more than half full, and very good compliance with masking. Things rapidly deteriorated, more crowded, and less and less masking. That's it for us. We gave it a go, but it is no longer a vacation. It is very "forced" and constantly compromising.
