  1. Other than registering before the cruise (which we had to do before covid anyway), we didn't need to do anything extra in November.
  2. We turned gold during our last cruise in Feb, but we started with a gold card during boarding.
  3. We're sailing in September (completed the vaccine form immediately upon booking that one), and then over the weekend I booked another cruise for December 2023, and I don't have a vaccine attestation for the one in December either. I found this thread in a search because I've got this same question you did.
  4. Nope, covid didn't change that. Congrats from this jealous gold cruiser.
  5. I am so excited to see that they kept the smoke free casino annex on deck 4. Even if they hadn't expanded it, but that's even better!! I went into your actual blog to peek ahead. Thanks for the photos.
  6. In Montego Bay we just went to Doctor's Cave Beach and spent the day there. It was inexpensive and GORGEOUS. I had a good offer so we booked an unplanned kid-free cruise a couple of weeks ago, but we only have to wait until September. Still had good offers left so I put the deposit down today on another one in December 2023 for the whole fam plus my bff. It's bittersweet having cruises to look forward to so far out.
  7. Like a bad haircut. 😆 But still glad to see her back in service.
  8. Yes, that's what I meant. Reading it now I see my reply was clear as mud. 😆 Sorry!! I did tip an actual dollar per drink extra because I knew times had been tough for the crew while the industry was on pause, but that was totally my choice and not expected.
  9. Yes, grats are included in the free drink package. Hubs and I sailed with one back in November.
  10. Is there a way to see which rate code was used for an upcoming cruise? All I see on my receipt is the actual cruise fare but not the code.
  11. Do they "light" the menorah every night or just the first night?
  12. We're cruising more since the restart than our whole cruise lives before covid, it seems. Last November and then February. And then the hubs and I booked one for September last week, and I just put one on hold for Hanukkah 2023 for the whole family and my best friend. If we're being honest, there will probably be some other side jaunt in between these next two. I'm getting lots of side eye over here..... 😆
  13. I know we'll be back to normal when we can also debate the worthiness of FTTF. 😆
  14. If you haven't told Carnival by the time you show up, I don't see why the roommate couldn't just be a no-show. As far as I know they don't care about the reason if someone just doesn't show up to board.
  15. I have never paid attention. Thanks for that info!
  16. We've done Your Time dining a few times now (with and without kids), and it's been great. Food is exactly the same as scheduled dining, and they even do the mid-dinner singing/dancing. Or at least they still did back in February. No input about gluten free, but good luck. It's tough when our bodies decide not to cooperate in some fashion.
