  1. As a cruiser with three small children and all of their accompanying crap, FTTF has historically been worth it just to drop our stuff off in the room first thing. The other "perks" are a bonus, but there will come a point where the cost is just too much. Not sure what that point is yet, but I'm keeping an eye on it. We don't sail again until Dec 2023 so I've got time to stalk CC and see what y'all have to say.
  2. Definitely must be present, and if you hear your name called, yell out quickly to claim it because the vultures (i.e. guests) get ready to move on to the next one ASAP in hopes it will be them instead. 😆
  3. There are a number of salons in my area who offer complimentary wine/frozen bevs to their customers so you're not totally off base here!
  4. When I don't have small kids to try and keep track of, we like to disembark later rather than earlier. Let the big crowds who absolutely have to get off quickly go and get out of the way. We definitely don't do self-assist with our kids (and all of their stuff), but we try to get off and on the road as soon as we can because it's easier to keep them contained and out of trouble in the van. 🙈
  5. Yep! The portions seem to be smaller these days so ordering extra is probably a good idea anyway.
  6. The Fox in Socks steak and eggs was fantastic, but they also used a filet. So apparently since they don't offer those for free anymore they may offer some other cut for the breakfast. I'm pretty skeptical about how it'll turn out, but I'll do it anyway when they bring it back.
  7. When we did it (obviously before the pandemic and everything changed), you couldn't make a reservation until you boarded so that was one of our higher priorities to make sure we got in. That process seemed to work well for them so I would expect them to continue like that whenever they bring it back. We miss it!
  8. That's a good idea! I'll start doing that on Thursday.
  9. Man, they sure do. Viciously. He won't ever say "Cruise Critic" like that, but just like the IMAX offerings he disguises it in a way that people who know, know.
  10. They're not, but JH does a pretty good job of telling you what they are with clever plays on words on his FB page.
  11. I'm sorry about the loss of your husband. May his memory be a blessing.
  12. It knows who is in your group (who also has chat turned on), and you select your recipient.
  13. If you have Your Time Dining, you can request to share a table in the app when you check in for dinner each night. If you have one of the set dining times, you can request it with the maître d' on board.
  14. $5 for the cruise per device. And you do not have to buy an internet package.
  15. Same. I sail in 13 days and will go wink at my room steward first thing whether I'm allowed to or not!!!
  16. Ah yes. It's been an actual 10 years since I used a TA (group cruise) so I forgot about those scenarios.
  17. You select your arrival time when you do your online check-in two weeks before sailing. You can select your dining time in your online profile now if you want to, and you can also set up Cruise Companions from there, too.
  18. That's been our experience all throughout the Caribbean.
  19. My cruise that leaves in two weeks doesn't mention it at all, but my cruise in Dec 2023 tells me I'll have to do it in Dec 2023. The discrepancy is odd. But I'm not sweating it!
  20. Guests under the age of five years are exempt from vaccination and testing requirements from the United States and under the age of 12 from Australia. (from the protocols on the website)
