  1. Star class is the top level suite on the ship. Only certain ships (Oasis and Quantum class) have them. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-rooms/royal-suite-class
  2. Damn, I'm a day late to a tipping thread 🥲 Exactly! For tips to be included in the fare, the price would have to be increased by more than the $101.50, because the cruise line would have to count that amount as revenue and pay tax. To your point, every line would have to agree to do it, as the outliers would have a hard time raising the price if others kept it low (with separate grats). Think of the airline industry. Spirit started charging for bags. When people searched for an airfare, they saw Sprit's much lower fare, and booked it. Only to find out later that they had to pay for a bag. Eventually, all the other airlines (sans Southwest) had to start charging for bags to stay competitive. You won't see an airline switch back to free bags, because they would have to raise the ticket price to make up for the lost revenue.
  3. If you're going to do the water park, look into the cabanas there. It comes with 6 passes to the park.
  4. Just got off Harmony. Though it was said we'd be accommodated in the pre-cruise communication, we didn't have any bottles. Never asked again, because we didn't miss it. They'll bring 6 glasses at a time, if you want.
  5. Did the Haven with my wife in Feb, and a 2BR ATS last week with a total of 7 in the room. The Haven can not touch the Star class experience. I would do the Haven again, for the right price, but they nickel and dime you. I would also only do the Haven with my wife, or two couples. Try out Star class, you will not be disappointed. Book it on over to that Face site and search "Star Class cruisers". It's a great group with a lot of info.
  6. I'm not worried about the the time of arrival. It's just that I'm the only one without a green checkmark on that section.
  7. I have a cruise this weekend. For my party of 7, we're all green, except the "Arrival time" section on mine. I've reentered and resubmitted all of the info. Anyone seen this?
  8. No, there's an ice bucket in the room for a reason. It's not a hotel. You can't go down the hall and fill it yourself. I'd gamble to say, that if you said nothing, the bucket would be filled each day.
  9. Really? You can't? Not a knock on you, but there are not that many from the UK that are fully on board with the tipping culture of the cruise lines.
  10. So, to play devil's advocate, you would have no problem going to a restaurant with a large group. They include 18% tip on the bill, then the waiter goes around and hands out envelops to everyone. Just in case they want to tip more.
  11. ...or a person going out of their way to crap on it, right?
  12. They are included in your pre paid grats. If they are not doing extra, why pay them extra?
  13. My Walgreens only allows scheduling 1 week out. Is this what others are seeing?
  14. Here are two semi recent examples. YMMV. See you on board!!
  15. That was out of line. I will say though that this is what happens with the tipping culture we have. It morphs from extra for above and beyond service, to become the norm, and expected. 20% is the new 15%.
