  1. And if you don't win the lottery then you are let down twice. P&O know how to rub salt into a wound.
  2. I too am booked on the Christmas / New Year cruise and since the fires I never truly believed it would happen.
  3. Out of the cabin by 8.00 is a lay in for us. 🤣
  4. Sorry to drag this old thread up but I said I would feedback the outcome. Whilst I can't go into details, it has taken over two months but finally I can say I'm happy with the outcome.😉 The motto of this is, do your research and don't give up.
  5. Why not go on the back (aft) great views of both sides or where you have been and with a deluxe balcony a very large balcony.
  6. As has been pointed out, his comments were made before last weeks bombshell so I wonder what he thinks now. As for us, we were already moving away from P&O with their dreadful attitude to customers and the (very) low level of service on board compared to other cruise lines including other Carnival cruise lines. The final nail in the coffin for us is the now very repetitive itineraries, surely they can find somewhere a bit different to sail even if it was only the smaller ships.
  7. There were trays on Iona a couple of weeks ago, usually dripping with water that's how I know for sure.😄
  8. How do P4C work/ Is it similar to CPS?
  9. True but all the pre cruise emails said I would need proof of vaccination etc but in reality they are not looking at it now (for Iona).
  10. Just off Iona and when checking in I wasn’t asked if I was vaccinated and they didn’t want to see any paperwork (or any other form of documentation) other than passports and boarding passes.
  11. Mine isn't and never been questioned on it. Just saying.
  12. I have always take a 4 way extension lead with me that I have cut the lead down to be about 75cm long. This is useful apart from giving multiple sockets on ships (or hotels) without UK plugs you only need one adaptor.
  13. I agree there seems to be no logic and as I say Marella allows clothes steamers but not irons but that could be due to the hot face on an iron. Oh well what I have never had on a cruise I won't miss.
  14. I have seen somewhere in the pas a FAQ where is says they are allowed, and as I say they even sell them onboard. My wife bought some and used them on the ship.
  15. Hair straighteners are allowed, but don't ask me why. In fact they sell them onboard!
  16. Fair enough if the point is to restrict items "which may not be self or well maintained" but why are hair curlers and straighteners exempt?
  17. Thank you, somehow I missed that whilst looking. Strange Marella allow steamers and all cruise lines allow hair curlers and straighteners.
  18. Well said and totally agree. Just a polite no thank you has worked for me.
  19. Possibly a question for @molecrochip, are clothes steamers allowed onboard P&O ships? Marella allow them but of course not an iron, after all what is the difference between a clothes steamer and a kettle? Does anyone know for sure not just a guess?
  20. My motto is, if you don’t ask you won’t get. So if the answer is he can’t help then I have tried.
  21. @molecrochipCan you helps us with this one? For me 2025 or 2026 would be great . We want to go to Iceland but choosing the right cruise line and ship is the challenge, we love Britannia.
  22. To be honest I don't recall every showing an E-ticket (or printout) only the boarding pass. That includes fly cruises.
  23. Point taken. How about this for version 2. You can call or go online to your existing customer profile and register a BLC etc. I assume they have a number on. This could be in an area not in the face of the "normal" customer, although you often see on websites a box for discount codes and if I don't have one I'm not offended.
  24. How about this for an idea, When calling P&O to make a booking as part of the process they ask if you have any concessions that may give extra discounts or OBC. That would lead to happier customers, sorry forgot P&O don’t seem to want that.
  25. Thank you for your replies. I will be celebrating my 60th birthday onboard and we hoped to book a specialty restaurant for my birthday. They should now be available to book but it just says “Please enquire onboard”. The only one available is the Limelight which frankly I think the entertainment is awful imho. Had the same issue in May on Azura but to make it worse I received an email suggesting I book the Sindhu when P&O knew it was closed! Oh well I will make the best of it, worse things happening in the world.
