Hi Glad Trimble from here in Neston
If you by chance read this , hope you don't mind me asking if they have tonic water in the Select Drinks Package, as per my thread.
Cheers.

Mywife & I have the above package which I know includes wine, beer & soft drinks.
Can my wife get tonic water within the soft drinks:confused:
Thank you

Thank you for the reply.
It seems that the The Music Hall will be up my wife & I street, we have been on the Azamara Quest & after 10.45pm the ship was dead, as a joke I asked on the roll-call would there Led Zep played on board, the reply was " The ship is a bit too sophisticated" for Led Zep, seems RCCL will be a lot better.
Cheers.

Hi Newx
Thanks for the review.
You mentioned that The Music Hall was a great venue with really good bands.
May I ask what type of music do they play & you mentioned "bands" are there more than one?
Cheers.
-
I too was confused:confused: & phoned RCCL last week & they told me Izumi is not complementary. :(
Cheers.

Thanks for your comprehensive thoughts, I found them very helpful.
-
Thank you both for a brilliant & humourous posts, I really enjoyed them
A&L Ont did a wonderful post which I whole heartily agree with.
Here in the UK Liverpool is noted for being the city of comedians, you both would do well there.
Thank you again.:)

Thanks Andreas for the super photos.
I can see our cabin clearly on photo No 457.

I was told that the problem is that they are introducing "Rotational Dining" to Anthem & at the moment they are sorting it all out & that one can rebook dining in a week or so.
Maybe the cruisers that have booked in the last week for dining are the only ones affected with the loss of their bookings.
Hope this does not effect "Dynamic Dining" as I liked the idea.
Cheers

I booked the first three nights on Dynamic Dining & on checking my Cart yesterday they were removed.
I phoned today & was told to rebook again, did so all looked fine & two hours later they were gone.
I have just phoned again & this time they informed me that things maybe changing & leave for a week.
Have others had their Dining Cart removed?
Will now have to wait & see what they now come up with.
Cheers.

Hi Radio.
Been following your review since the start & am really enjoying them.
Great photos of Maho beach, a must visit & such fun.
When the planes take off is the best, my wife attempted to take a movie & ended getting blown over & the movie was just sand, the chap next to her had a lot of body hair & with the sandblasting he got he looked like a sandman. I so want to return there.
Cheers.

Hi Lil....
Thanks for the reply.
I understood that Starbucks would not be in my package, but wondering about the free coffee & if the free coffee had Latte/ Cappuccino , again one may only get this type in Starbucks.
Cheers.
-
My wife & I are on the Anthem in June & have an all inclusive select drinks package, this package does not include specialty coffee.
My question is what other coffee is free & can you get latte & cappuccino.
Cheers.

Great that you can amend so easily if you pre-book before the cruise.
I am now certain we will enjoy Dynamic Dining & its flexibility & the complaints are mainly from the Traditional Dining fraternity.
Gazza64 .
With a name like yours I can understand you liking the bars;).
Cheers.

Thank you all for your replies.
I am now understanding Dynamic Dining & have started to book reservations at the various options & will cancel or amend when on board if need be.
Cheers.

Booked for our 1st RCC cruise on the Anthem for June.
What is Dynamic Dining?
Also I have trawled though the threads & some posters are asking can they book shows before sailing, again what is this about? Thought you just turned up for them.
Maybe be I have a lot to learn regarding RCC.
Thank you.

I think that Celebrity to better than Cunard in most things bar the Lectures & Dining & I would book Celebrity again but not Cunard, but again I will choose other lines as long as it doesn't sail from Southampton.
El Crucero.
Thanks, That was the name of the girls that were on last week & the audience walked out too, so sorry for them but it was a disaster. They must have a contact but surely they will not get another.
I forget one of the cons. Our wine waitress was very poor , a few times our table didn't get our wine until half an hour, she would fill glasses half a measure(the last of a bottle) apologise, said she would come back but didn't, & on the last night we had only 1 glass in 90 mins., our table had to chase her & once again I got the last of the bottle & yes I had to chase to get the top up.
On reflection, I should have gone to the Maitre d & complained.
This was the only really bad thing about our cruise.

Just back from our Eclipse cruise to the Baltic 24/5 to 7/6.
The ship
Pros... In superb condition, there are many bars & places to relax, the Lawn Club is excellent as is the pool & surroundings, the cabins are of good size & the en suite is excellent.
Cons...Only one main one, lack of draw space in cabin.
Dining .
Pros... Moonlight Sonata, We are not "foodies" & found the dining very good with nothing really outstanding, although we found all the soups superb. We were on a table for 4 with another 2 tables of 2, it ended started & ended like a table for 8. The buffet is excellent. Although it has practically the same fayre throughout the 2 weeks there is so much choice.
Cons.. Nothing really, although we did notice that the desserts were not of the standard of the past, & the Buffet on sea days it was hard to get a place to sit.
Drinks..
Pros.. After all the posts regarding the drinks package we found it superb. We had the "classic", we got Baileys, Pina Colada, Shiraz, Pinot Grigio, Bud., Cafe Late all our favourites with no trouble.
Cons... Sometimes the bar staff got orders wrong, one particular time I ordered a red & white wine, I noted my red was very small towards my wife's white & asked him to top up & he didn't & said I must have drunk some.
Entertainment.
Pros...This is one of my biggest criticism when cruising & after being on the QE & Azamara Quest I thought the worst, what a surprise to find it rather good, from the music around the ship at different times & the Theatre shows all were very good. All the singers, groups & dancers were very good. On top of this there was late night adult (Mr & Mrs type) games in Celebrity Central, lectures, quizzes, putting on the Lawn etc.,
Sue Denning was superb.
Cons...As usual I missed a real "Heavy Rock" band. I am in my 70's
& from Liverpool but there was too much emphasis on the 60's & the Beatles. Of course I love the Beatles, but it was a step too far when 4 girls did a show in the theatre I can assure you it did not go down too well.So sorry girls but you should have done the Spice Girls,Sugarbabes etc.,
The flamboyant showman Perry Grant was usually on at 9.30pm & we were always at dinner I asked if he would be on at any other time & the answer was no. Thankfully he did a show in the theatre & what a showman.
In summary.. To us a cruise is just another holiday & think it near impossible to find a perfect cruise & the cruise line have to take into account so many peoples likes & dislikes, but this cruise came pretty close & has come 2nd best of our cruises.

I did forget about the ice towels and water upon return. Very nice touch.
My wife & I are on the Eclipse on Saturday & we are sailing the Baltic.
Will we get blankets & a cup of hot tea/coffee on our return to the ship;)
Cheers.
