  1. Cant thank you enough for such a great post. With being there 2x would you say it should be a land based trip or a cruise type visit? We are planning on doing Ireland/Scotland and cant decide which would be best. Both seem a bit pricey so it may just be an area of the world that is more expensive than others such as Italy; Australia, New Zealand etc which we are ok with, as long as we do our research.
  2. Thank you for this, we are heading to the Rotterdam. So the package that comes with the Have it all is the Signature package? Would you have been to upgrade to Elite before you boarded if wanted?
  3. See you on the ship!! I'm looking forward to all the stops even if there isn't really anything there. Just booked the last tour we needed, to call it a wrap. Even have a netted hat in case there are lots of flying bugs .🤣😂.
  4. Thats what I thought I did last year. I remember having to call them to purchase. Still no way to purchase it online like you can with other lines?
  5. Has anyone pre-purchased OBC lately? I was looking to use an offer on my Amex card. I called to buy OBC, than expected it would be returned to the credit card at the end of the trip if I didnt use it. Or have it used on the ship before my non-refundable OBC. Rep stated: "RCL doesnt offer or have "refundable" OBC and I would lose it if I didnt use it". I questioned him, asking even if my TA gives me credit its non-refundable (which is not the case with another carrier we sail more often on, than RCL) and he said "yes. We dont have any Refundable OBC". I dont remember this being the case last year when we sailed with RCL. Any recent experiences with Pre purchasing OBC? TIA
  6. Your planning sharing is fabulous!!! How do you look at details and determine how many spots are left and available for an excursion, if you wouldnt mind sharing? Thank you
  7. I just bought a USB heating pad (its small & portable) and worked really well. I brought it on my last trip.
  8. Has anyone ever gone to a Specialty Dining on NCL and split the meal? If so, do they count it as 1 persons' specialty dinner or both people's? So could we go 2x and split the meal, having each visit count as only one person's specialty dinners that are included in the FAS? There is no way either my travel partner or I can eat all the food in a Specialty Dinner meal. @BirdTravels- I thought you may know the answer to this. Thank you
  9. I just did air for the 1st time with NCL. For the price they were able to offer, and what we would have had to pay for just 1 of us. So we have our expectations set correctly - for the value they are providing, we are good with whatever they book us on.
  10. We just booked 6 people using NCL air for the 1st time. We have all agreed, we dont really care what flights we end up on as the cost of the flights NCL was offering are 50% of what we could have booked for just 1 of us. I too looked and determined, they cant really do any worse than we could have done with the flight options available. So glad, it has worked out for you and enjoy your cruise. We go with the expectation that we do not have to cook, clean and we will be waited on hand and foot for the length of the cruise. So we always have an awesome trip!
  11. Any excursions for Miami the day you disembark will be listed in your MyNCL account, where you would book all other excursions. This way NCL will also keep your luggage while you get to see Miami.
  12. NCL cancelled my sisters reservation today, because the $250.00 Cruise Next Certificate I transferred to her hasnt reached her account as of yet. They stated the full amount was to be put back on the credit card. In our case - They ended up reinstating the reservation with us paying the $250.00 via a credit card. And all is good. So hope all ends well for you too!!
  13. I too would give a shout out to Guest Services for our Bliss cruise Panama Canal Jan 7 - 22. If people would just remember everyone is working hard & trying their best, everyone would be shouting out about how we dont have to cook, clean and we are waited on hand and foot when on a cruise. I call that blessed!!
  14. The lines have been so long on our last 2 cruises, for those who dont have their tags printed and on their bags. I would go to the library or a UPS store and get them printed.
  15. They posted the info on special pricing for the day for the thermal spa in the daily on our latest cruise.
  16. Our cruise offers Both - May 22 2023 Alaska
  17. We just did all 3 of these on our Panama Canal cruise. I have to say Ocean Blue was the most fun, because we did the upcharge for the lobster. Wore bibs, and it was my first time cracking a lobster. My father would have been so proud of me...LOL We choose the grilled lobster and it was outstanding. My husband felt like being royalty that night and the waitress was more than willing to take care of getting all the meat out of the lobster, for him. LaBistro - we were so afraid we would not like/want anything on that menu. As its just not our style of food. However, it was the best Medium Well Filet I have ever eaten. I dont usually order filet because they have never been able to cook it outside of red. This filet was beyond amazing. The French Onion soup was awesome. Cagneys - we always get the prime rib. Never fails. And the chocolate layer cake was to rich for us this time. However, we found a new loved dessert the caramel cheesecake. If you cant eat it during dinner just ask them for it to go. All great restaurants...just depends on what you feel like eating! All of them will also be good because you dont have to cook or clean! Enjoy
  18. Just went to Acapulco, Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlán & Cabo San Lucas on a Panama Canal cruise and it was incredible cruise. Even did Columbia & Guatemala and would do it all over again!
  19. And this was on NCL? I didnt even realize you could bring wine or beer on board, even if you have the Beverage Package.
  20. Sounds like there are a lot of upcharges on VV. Is there any entertainment, trivia, etc included in the cruise?
  21. So everyone will have the "Gold Dome" experience, without an included meal, with the NCL chartered train. Am I understanding?
  22. When I contacted NCL the agent said it doesnt usually identify the DOME seating but let me read and see what it says this year. On the excursion description and what she read, she believes it is seating in the DOME car as it mentioned the Glass Dome. But as you indicated I can see the price difference in the NCL excursion (which doesnt include a meal) approx $119 pp vs the Alaska RR pricing $213 pp (which does include a meal). Im hesitant to assume a meal is whats making up the almost $100 Plus difference in price. The Adventure class at Alaska RR is $105.00 one way. That seems more like what NCL is offering with a few dollar upcharge.
