  1. Has anyone experienced the chartered Alaska Railroad excursion provided by NCL to get from Anchorage to Seward? With NCL can you secure seats in the Gold Dome section of the train, or is their train ride in the coach section of the train? If you wouldnt mind sharing your experience?
  2. Do they charter the DOME car or just the coach part. I am looking at the NCL excursion and cant identify, nor could the NCL rep really identify if the chartered trips are in the dome cars of just in coach.
  3. Was this a private tour or with the ship? Would you mind sharing the tour, I would love to do a tour such as this.
  4. If you dont mind, after the cruise if you could share which room that large balcony is found. I always search for those types of rooms when booking.
  5. Will let you know after our first cruise on Celebrity in May. Since restart, we have done 2 RCL. This year we have 4 booked. 2 - NCL; 1 TA on RCL; and Celebrity on Summit. Looking to also try Virgin Voyages & MSC in 2024. So not loyal, but thus far NCL Bliss is our favorite. I want to book Prima while on board our next NCL cruise. We have (4) CNC to use, which Im sure I wont have a problem spending... 🙂
  6. The entertainment on our last Royal Cruise, was just as you are describing on this NCL cruise. So as with all the cruise lines, it just depends on what is happening at the moment for each line. I almost cancelled a RCL cruise due to the entertainment on the last one. So I hope it gets better all around.
  7. Did they have any good deals for booking Future cruises while you were on the Bliss?
  8. If you buy the OBC pre-purchase and you dont spend it on anything prior to boarding is the OBC Non-refundable or Refundable? And if refundable and you still dont spend it on board, how do they give it back to you?
  9. Wow...this was good English on my part ....lol Sorry
  10. It all worked immediately. When I used the second offer on a different NCL cruise, that worked as well. Your idea will work brilliantly. I will add the new CNC to the (4) remaining ones I have left. Those will expire 1 year after the old ones as well. So will work, like a charm.
  11. Hi sorry, does the CN People and the OBC desk = Is this Casino and Guest Services? I just want to make sure I know who can help if needed. Thank you
  12. I got the OBC to work, and it should be refundable. I remembered why you may not want to use the OBC to purchase the new cruise. Im not sure the Amex Cruise Priviledge Benefits would work. Have you bought with OBC and had the priviledges kick in on that newly purchased cruise? It does work if you use a CNC, as Ive dont that. But the T & S on Amex says the "entire fare" must be paid with the Amex card. I will ask my TA and see if she can confirm OBC would or wouldnt work.
  13. The card went pending, but the offer auto triggered. Thanks for all your help everyone. Now off to see if we can do the same for Royal.
  14. I was provided 2 options. 1) To get OBC for that cruise OR 2) get $1000 more in certificates. I opted for the certificates. Good thing I did bcuz I thought I would be smart and cash out in the casino. But joke was on me. The day before disembarking the casino was closed the whole day. As we were to close from Mexico to LA to have the casino open. So hubby got a new Go Pro at the 11th hour.... 🙂
  15. Is the pre-purchased OBC thru MY NCL (See image attached) Refundable or Non-Refundable OBC? I looked thru the forums and each time pre-purchased was mentioned, the question morphed into what you could and couldn't use refundable/non-refundable OBC for or an argument about such without this question being answered. Can you help?
  16. Do you know if there pre-purchased On-Board Gift Certificates are Refundable or Non-Refundable OBC?
  17. Can I go to the service desk on Day 1 and ask them to cash out my Refundable OBC?
  18. I asked my TA because I wanted to pre-pay the gratuities for my upcoming cruise by years end but the TA was giving us pre-paid gratuities. If we waited until we were on the ship they would be more and we would have to pay the difference, which was approx $120. So we paid them up front, and the credit she will give us covering what we spent will be refundable OBC. What I dont know is how do you get NCL to cash out your refundable OBC at the beginning of the crusie, so I actually get it back. I dont need more stuff...
  19. Did they immediately charge the credit card even tho you indicate you want the OBC the day you get on the ship? Ive never bought OBC for myself but I'm trying to use up an Amex offer, but I need the credit card to charge immediately or go pending at minimum. Also is it refundable OBC and how do you get it back from NCL if you dont end up using it while on the cruise? Thank you for your help
  20. That may be a fabulous idea. The only hiccup I can think of with this is I already have $980 OBC for the Bliss cruise. The good thing is $530.00 of it is refundable. The DSC are pre-paid, drinks package good, we are going to do a a few excursions thru the ship this time around which is also new for us. I should be able to get thru the non-refundable if the ones we want are available when we get on board. Also, I just had my TA do the pre-paid gratuities on the Amex and it isnt categorizing as 1) travel and 2) as Norwegian. Its categorizing as some USD Reservation, so making me nervous. Ive never "bought" OBC through the NCL Manage Reservation. But Im under the impression when you do that it is refundable OBC? Can you just ask NCL when you get on board to refund the refundable OBC to you? Thanks for your insight here...
  21. @BirdTravelsfabulous review has convinced me to book a cruise on Prima. Here are my options... I have an offer on my Amex spend $1000 get $350 back, this offer expires 12/31/2022 (I am struggling to find a way to use this) OR I head to the Bliss next week, would you wait and book while on board?
  22. Im so sorry you are disappointed, I know the feeling. I felt this way on the RCL Baltic cruise so we get it. But this statement is not at all our experience on post covid cruises from the US to Europe. Entertainment has been lack luster on all the different cruise lines we have been on, and cant wait to get back to the NCL Bliss next week to see Jersey Boys, Beatles & Six. Enjoy the rest of the cruise...
  23. Booking direct with the cruise line still does allow the perks. They simply transfer you to their "Amex dept" which I agree with you, is probably not really "their" dept. As long as the TA is certified in Amex they can book the cruise. I agree with you, Im sure they pay a marketing fee. I will have to compare MSC up against the same cruise and see if the value meets/beats or is the same as cruise with the Amex benefits.
  24. I agree, my upcoming NCL cruise to the Panama Canal has provided stella benefits from Amex, the TA paying tips & gratuities (also will not be named) and Im still left with $500 OBC and everything paid for already. So having fun deciding what to spend it on. Same for our booked TA on RCL next year. So MSC & No Amex Benefits may be a deal breaker for me and this cruise line.
