It's not really a matter of whether any of us like it or don't like it. The cruise line has guidelines and rules, like the many other rules we need to abide by to cruise. This one is no different. I just don't understand people's complete disregard when there is a sign right in front of them. It's about --- Follow the guidelines & rules.

It was a great deal for all of those things, for us!! The tiny ferry at Fredericksburg Castle is also included but the entire narrative was in Danish only. But we still enjoyed the ride and view of the castle from the water way.

What words do people not understand? On the Voyager of the Seas and it's amazing how many people can't read, or just have complete disregard. It has clear signage do not fill your water bottles. Im seeing people put the mouth of their water bottle on the spigot of the water spout. Nothing like spreading your germs. The staff is doing a good job of asking them not to, and showing them the proper way but really. Adults need to be told ...

As we head out of Copenhagen on our cruise, I just can't say enough great things about Copenhagen and all the great information we got from this forum to make our visit here, what it was. Special thanks to @hallasm for meeting up with us in person, and sharing even more insight not only about Copenhagen but about traveling the world. Appreciate turning acquaintances into friends. Landed on an Alaska cruise 2023. Was able to use both offers on Amex, so booyah! Thank you all for your suggestions, I will start working thru the list that was created with all the great ideas. Will come back and ask questions after doing my research on Celebrity. Tested negative for our RCL cruise that goes out of Copenhagen this Sunday. We've been here a week and what a fabulous city. Went to Sweden too, Lund ( a must not miss town) Malmo was ok. Happy cruising everyone.

Arrived in Copenhagen! We were able to use a contactless credit card (Chase Sapphire Reserve) by tapping the card vs having to use a debit/credit card with a pin to buy a train ticket, via the ticket machines.

For us, if it's the only thing we would be doing we wouldn't miss Roskilde. But our interest is the Vikings/Danish past life and we are very excited to see the Cathedral. Someone else shared in this forum and gave a fabulous outline of each of the places. I would encourage you to find that in the forum here, I think it will help with your choice. If you go on a Wednesday, they have the marketplace too.

When is this one? This to me is a lets try a new provider or ship kind of cruise. We've been there already but would go back just due to the ease of the cruise.

I have the Amex offer for Celebrity and am struggling to decide which itinerary to book. I'm all about getting a deal. I have the offer on 2 different cards. We are in Norway this week,. Panama Canal in January. We have a TA scheduled for next year Iceland/Greenland. So other than those 3, and with preference to sail out of the USA which has been your favorite celebrity cruise itinerary, ship, time of year for that cruise? Forgot to mention, this would be our 1st Celebrity cruise. Another reason I want to use the offer. I really want to try Celebrity.. We are closest to sail out of the West Coast.

I've heard it makes it very different if you pay in full before final payment. Do $500, (or whatever is not going to have you paid in full) then separately pay prepaid gratuities, then buy on board credit director from celebrity for the balance. I believe you need to call to do that. You can also buy excursions instead of obc. It just has to total the offer amount, not be in one transaction. I have the offer on 2 different cards, so I have to do the above to ensure I get the Amex Platinum benefits as well.. which requires paying the 'entire fare' on 1 Amex platinum card. Hope that helps

That would be fabulous. Very nice a cruise on the Rhine - how incredible. We have never done a TA but are booked for 1 next year, staring in Amsterdam (was supposed to be from Copenhagen, but RCL swapped ships and cruises offered). How do I get you a phone number and/or email (as I should be able to get text messages per TMobile while we are in Copenhagen) thru Cruise Critic? I dont think we can private message here to exchange info. Any ideas on how to exchange without making it all public so we can make plans?

To all the local guides on this forum, we cant thank you enough for all of the incredible information on Wonderful Copenhagen!! To pay if forward, as my husband and I are putting the finishing touches on us heading out, my husband and I would like to ask: Is there anything any of you would want/need from the states that we can bring with us? We aren't checking bags and doing carry on only, so that would be a consideration however if there is anything smallish that we can legally carry into the country and you would like us to bring you, please let us know. 2nd: We owe you all a drink. Correct, that is what I shared. I know Uber & Lyft arent available in Copenhagen. You may have read it to fast, which I do all the time 🙂

I learned that one the hard way as well. Used an Amex award on NCL for cruise next certificates, didn't trigger the credit.

It does not have to be a new cruise.

As long as it is booked after you add the offer to your card, and before the offer expires.

I had both RCL, which I used. I have Celebrity on 2 different cards and cant get a cruise booked to use it. It expires in 6 days. I so want to try Celebrity as a cruise line too. 😞
