  1. PH1? What should we expect time-wise?
  2. Thank you, I was wondering if I could do this since our reservation is through a TA.
  3. ok......then I guess we won't arrive until after 1PM....
  4. I have tried to book an excursion on our Dec 11 Vista cruise. I put the desired one in my cart and then when I go to the cart it states "Cart is Empty" I have tried this repeatedly the last few days. Does anyone know why this would happen?
  5. Another new Oceania cruiser question: If you have a boarding time of 11:00 or 12:00 and your stateroom isn't ready are you able to place your carry on luggage in the room or somewhere so you don't have to drag it with you around the ship?
  6. I'm sure I won't be awake to do this. We are PH1, what are our chances of getting a table for 2 if we wait till 5-6AM ish?
  7. Do they book up THAT fast that you need to be on line at midnight? Had not planned on that for our Vista cruise that should open up dining for us come this Thursday.
  8. I don't know if you've been on the E class or not but I have done 2 TA's on the Apex and there was canned music every day in the martini bar area and not in the least bit subtle. It's loud enough that if you are in Le Petit Chef right next to it the charm of Le Petit is lost since the canned music from the martini bar area invades the restaurant. So it absolutely IS true. Yes there is live music in Eden. There is also live music in the martini bat area, but when it's not there it's all canned music.
  9. Thanks. How far in advance will you be able to log in and select time slots?
  10. Another new Oceania cruise question: We will be on Vista beginning December 11th. How does Oceania determine boarding times?
  11. Celebrity does not have much "roving classical, jazz, blues, rock musicians" especially on the E class ships, a LOT of canned music. Celebrity does have good to great shows in the theatre, 2 shows per night, most are very enjoyable. All Celebrity ships have a running track of some sort. On longer cruises (TA's for example) they do allow the use of either a MDR or Spec. Rest for game playing but have never seen a continental breakfast served, just a coffee & water station. Celebrity is charging crazy rates at this point so we have moved onto Oceania and also have a Princess TA booked.
  12. Agree, the original Qsine was great and great fun too. We sponsored several dinners there from Cruise Critic roll calls on Reflection, Silhouette and Eclipse. We have done Le Petit, it was fine but it's a one time only thing.
  13. We much prefer the S class on Celebrity. We did enjoy the Rooftop Grill on Apex, much more than Lawn Club on the S class. Entertainment is not a major factor for us, though I was impressed with many of the shows in the theater. We generally like to sit as far back as possible, makes it easier to slip out during the show if it's not to our liking. Not really concerned about that on Oceania. Would love to try Seabourn sometime too.....yes definitely first world problems.
  14. We were on that TA on Apex too. Felt the buffet at lunch was as you said, marginal, we didn't try at dinner. We will definitely check out the Terrace. Aside from some of the shows in the theatre on the TA we just were underwhelmed by the sailing. We weren't going to cruise again this year but found a sailing on the Vista this December and decided it was time to try Oceania and see if it's a good fit for us. From what I'm reading on these boards I think we may find a new home for our cruise vacations.
  15. We will be on our first Oceania cruise in December. I have been looking at the deck plans for the Vista and I see a place called Horizons on Deck 14 and the Terrace on Deck 12. Is one of these the buffet area that most ships have? I'm not a big buffet fan but just trying to figure out what's what. Any help is appreciated.
  16. Probably has something to do with people like me who have been long time Celebrity cruisers and have become disillusioned by the cuts in service and perks and increases in price. I have my first Oceania cruise in 2 months and will probably be comparing for others who are trying Oceania for the first time because they are also pretty much done with Celebrity.
  17. It looks that way on the deck plans. We are in 11071 in December and it appears to the first one on that side with a larger balcony. Hope so, that would be very nice.
  18. Just booked our first Oceania cruise and very excited about it. Pretty sure our Apex cruise last spring will be our last on X.
  19. Thank you. Which of the Specialty Restaurants on Vista charge a fee? Or are they all included?
  20. What IS open at lunch on port days?
  21. I am new to Oceania so you aren't allowed to bring your own plastic water bottles on board. We have brought a case on board Celebrity in the past.
