Does Delta ever have sales? I have credits to use and was looking for Feb and July and the prices are higher even of I put my $300 credit towards the flight versus other lines? Is Delta just an expensive airline or am I missing something? Thanks!

Ya, what I was looking for was family activities in comparison with other lines, thanks to those who have chimed in! My kids dont even have phones/wifi on vacation, we usually bring cards/dominoes and are into board games, so was really more looking into things we can do as family, though they may venture to the teen club a few evenings..so no concern needed here;) We actually may consider this sailing due to price/2 new ports and just to try a new line..we are quite easy to please but like to know what to expect! Yes, thats usually our thinking-we're not picky people by any means. I wondered more so about if there were things like some action in the afternoon by the pool/ comedy show for under 18/shows aside from musical type in the evening (ie the BBC earth one sounds cool).

Thank you..fwiw we are not drinkers and havent been to 2 ports that this itin is going to which also peaked interest with the low price..on sea days we like some family/pool time, like I said shows etc, and sometimes the kids will go to the teen club.

Looking at what seems to be an incredible deal we are looking at HAL for the first time.. on the Nieuw Statendam for a Carib itinerary. We have been on RC, MSC, Disney, NCL and Carnival and really enjoy them all but love Carnival and MSC..we have 2 teens and we're into shows/comedy/watching action at the pool etc. How does HAL compare to other lines?

Would the idea be you do the beach for the day then go back to ship for dinner/show then go back to the island for night activities? Also, I have read there is a beach with a net, anyone know which beach this is? And where the paddleboard/kayaks are, is that sectioned off from sharks etc, or open waters? Can you rent on the spot day, or must be pre booked? Finally, is there a beach volleyball net? Thx!

Thanks I wasnt sure that there would already be cabs there, and if it meant we had to order an uber it would probably be faster, but if we self disembark and there will already be cabs there waiting, that will likely be fastest..thanks!

Is there a particular area to get the cab or uber in the fastest amount of time from where we get out of the terminal?

I know its not ideal for a morning flight, but what would be the recomended fastest way to get from MIA to FLL airport if we dock at 7..uber/booked driver?

We are just back and can confirm it was a bit more casual than our other cruises, a lot of jeans and nice tops/polos etc..it suited the Alaska mood perfectly in my opinion! Of course, if you wanted you could also jazz it up as well:)

I believe we already paid the mandatory service charge/tips when we took the free drink package, is this this correct? It says no specialty coffee, is that even a basic cappucino? Im surprised that wouldnt be included but up to a $15 drink is. Thx!
