🙂 oh, yum! I can feel my blood glucose levels rising to dangerous levels. Although, I'd have a difficult time picking between hazelnut, coffee and mango. I'll probably go with hazelnut, because I can get the other two flavors in a store at home. oh, well, I guess I don't have to choose the flavor after all. But there is free ice cream available, right? And MDR dinner desserts always have good flavors available.

I love that song! Well, I love Queen's music in general. is loud music blaring at the pool deck all the time? some of the time? during the day on sea days, that is. We've been on some ships before with some deafeningly loud pool adjacent music.... It was a torture.

could somebody please tell me what the official policy on bringing sodas onboard is? It is not in the FAQ section on X website. Can we bring a 12 pack per person? Carry-on or suitcase?

and the AC doesn't work when you have the "window" open. You can't quietly open the curtain and step onto the balcony while the rest of the family is still sleeping.

I've just checked the app to see if a lunch menu is available for our 8 night sailing, but it is not. Strangely enough, dinner menu is also missing for nights 7 and 8.... Maybe, they want us to go to the buffet instead? 10 of these would probably not get you there. But 10 of these surely will: Speaking of guilty pleasures, does Reflection have crepes anywhere?

Celebrity is running the 3rd/4th person free at the moment, so I took advantage of that and booked the 3 of us for the price of 2. Score! That said, Celebrity doesn't really have anything for kids aside from a kid's club. We are trying Reflection in 2 months, but our kid doesn't care about kid's club or activities (he will turn 13 right before the cruise). New MSC ships do have more kid activities, including an aquapark. Have you looked into older RCI ships? Especially AMPed ones - they have a lot of fun stuff, but because they are older, they may not be as expensive as their newest ships (whose prices are out of control). I would highly recommend not booking a 3-4 day booze cruise. They are called that for a reason.

right now people are complaining about Beyond for a lot of reasons (you can check out Celebrity board for more info) If you want good food and music, I'd look at Princess. We've already sailed on Enchanted in 2022 (loved it) and will sail on her again in June. I'd love to sail on Sun Princess, but unfortunately, the current prices do not suit us. So, for a bit less $ but in a better category and ship location I chose to book Celebrity Ascent and Beyond for next year, but I can't comment on them yet, since we've never sailed on Celebrity. Back in 2018 we found NCL food to be bad, so we won't consider sailing on NCL unless the price was super darn low. The entertainment on the Getaway was top notch at that time, but a lot of things changed post-pandemic.

hmm, I think I had to enroll but the points may have transferred automatically. Our invoices do not show the captain circle number for DH or DS. We have very uncommon names so we can't possibly be confused with anyone else. I'll look into it later. 🙂 yikes! I hope you don't get an infection. When we traveled alone, we never brought any first aid with us. Once we started sailing with the kiddo and also got older (no fun), we started bringing a backpack full of meds, first aid, vitamins, bandaids, etc. Our kid has always been trauma prone - on his first cruise he sliced his foot open on a very sharp rock on Princess Cay beach. It didn't stop there....

aaah, that explains why I am getting more points for our 7 night cruise in a balcony than on an 8 night cruise in an inside. me too! X matched my RCI status to Select. Gotta get DH enrolled as well.

on this MDR night we'll be getting gnocchi and cordon bleu. 🙂

could someone please point me in the right direction? I want to find official verbiage as to what non-alcoholic drinks we are allowed to bring with us and how many (per party/per person). Thank you! I looked on X website, but didn't find it.
