  1. I know where you are coming from but there are many healthy choices available on the ship. I usually try to keep to whole grain cereal and a bit of yogurt for breakfast but succumb to the allure of omelettes, bacon, potatoes and a bagel and cream cheese now and then as well. I think it has to do a lot more with self control than a lack of healthy options.

You are so right. But then, I don't have any self control where there is good food around that I don't have to cook! We like to hit the other breakfast too for the cappuccinos and smoothies!

  2. Oh dear. two weeks with no ready brek is a scary thought!! well, I guess I could eat french toast....and strawberries with chcolate sauce...:D

I, too, eat oat bran porridge which I make in the microwave, every morning, and I was wishing I could make it on the ship too because I think it is the breakfasts on the ship that cause my weight gain! Love, love, love the waffles or the English breakfast! You're from England and you don't have sausages, bacon and fried tomatoes for breakfast?:p

  3. I think the OP wanted his cabin cleaned when he was out of it, even if he was not out that long.

Our experience in cruising (we are Elite too) has been that the room steward seems to know immediately when you leave your cabin and they seem to be invisible, doing their work in your absence. Our cabin has always been cleaned when we get back from breakfast. However, on Equinox in Dec, our cabin was never cleaned until about noon. We did not like that but we said nothing as we realize the room steward can't do everyone's cabin first. They could alternate their schedule though so they don't always leave the same cabin till last.

  4. On our last cruise at a table for 10 (early seating) we had a couple who consistently arrived 45 minutes late. Our waiter never said anything to them and worked very hard to catch them up to the course we were on. It made extra work for him and I don't know why they didn't get the picture after the first night. It annoyed the rest of us as it delayed our service and we decided to say something after the fifth night. However, the 6th night was formal and they didn't appear, likely because the gentleman was supplied with a jacket on the first formal night.

  5. Dosherpack beat me to it. We have seen one of these cabins on a cabin crawl. They are HUGE.

As others have said, buy the pass in Bermuda, as you get off the ship. It can be bought for multiples of days and is good for the ferries and the bus. We took the ferry to Hamilton the first day. If you can get there by noon, there is a public dunking (wench gets dunked for gossiping) and I think your children would enjoy this.

We have never had small children on a cruise, but we have often seen them around the ship and they all appear to be having the time of their lives.

  6. DH says that Celebrity has an onboard service compatible with Rogers and we verified that it worked. However, the cost per minute was very high. DH doesn't remember exactly but thinks maybe $4/min. This was on the Millennium going to Alaska last year.
