  1. Typically yes you can, however unless there is cause , I don’t believe you can do it past final payment date . Up until then although the TA maybe reluctant to do so it is your right to do it . Keep in mind some TAs may still try to charge you a fee because of this . I am sure others will chime in as well if I left anything out or made an error.

  2. You can get them onboard either through room service or at a bar. I tend to order ahead of time and I have the vouchers waiting for me in the cabin when I board. I then call room service up and have them deliver them as I need them .

I don’t think there is a price difference between ordering ahead or buying onboard , but I like to prepay as much as I can before I board .

  3. The passport book contains more info than the passport card, so I would rather lose the passport card than the passport book. However, since the passport card fits in my wallet, it would be harder for me to lose the passport card than the passport book.

Not sure what you mean the book has contains more information then the card . Both the card and the book have the same information about you in the Department of State system . The only difference is that the book itself is a record of travel because of the stamps and visas. In fact the main reason the book may never be obsolete is because of the need for visas to enter many countries.

  4. On a Caribbean cruise a passport card will not provide any more assistance than a birth certificate and a driver's license.

Actually , since the application process is the same as a book, all your pertinent information will be in the Department of State system. The red tape to get emergency permission to fly home will be less then if you have never applied for a passport and if you are just traveling with a birth certificate and drivers license . That being said , in states that issue REALID compliant drivers licenses , the passport card is only slightly better .

  5. Exactly. You can use the Passport card for a Caribbean cruise but should you need to fly back to the US for some reason, you’d need a passport book. I have one, too, as well as a Passport book. When I go ashore, I bring the card as my ID.

Same here. One thing to consider is that although you cannot fly back from a foreign destination with it . The card is still excellent proof of citizenship etc. If for whatever reason you don’t have the book with you, the information from the card can be used to simplify securing the proper documentation in order to fly home in case of emergency . This is a much better option then just a drivers license / birth certificate.

  6. I just disembarked from the 10-day partial transit .Men typically khakis or nice jeans and polos , dress shirts or the tommy Bahamas or Columbia type casual shirts . Woman slacks or jeans ,nice blouses / tops and some sundresses or mini dress / jumpers. Nothing extreme and no shorts were allowed except the first night. To be honest , I would. It overthink , just don’t wear shorts and you will be fine .

  7. Good to hear . I was hoping that was the case ,but I guess I am used to the explorers lounge on the other ships playing more Barry Manila’s , Sinatra and Paso Doble / Rumba music then Bruno Mars , Ed Sheeren or Journey .

  8. I am booked on the Coral for an upcoming partial Panama Canal cruise. I have searched for this answer and I cannot seem to find a definitive one . Is there late night dancing on the Coral similar to what you would find at Skywalkers and Club 6 (Regal/Royal) ? I am not interested in ballroom , but something with a DJ . If they do, where do they do it?

  9. Here is my input to your questions:

    1) There is no wrap around promenade deck. They did open up a section behind the life boats , but you still can’t go to the bow. It is also doubtful this will be “corrected” given the design of the ship and the fact that not every passenger sees this as an issue .

    2) The central staircase was opened up on the Royal and I believe now on the Regal during its last dry dock in Hamburg Germany.

    3) It is small and doubtful it will be “improved”. The other three pools are actually fairly big for a contemporary cruise ship and I would argue the forward adults only pool I actually huge. Again this is one item that is subject to personal opinion and preferences.

    4) I love this class of ship and have never felt crowded , but your mileage may very depending on your personal preference and the length and season of the cruise ( holiday / families vs. off season )

    That’s my 2 cents

  10. I have stayed in this cabin and it can be noisy in the mornings when they start moving towels and deck chairs . If you like quiet , this may not be the the cabin for you .

  11. Hi you need to take princess tour ROM150 to see they Trevi fountian. The fountian is in a small square that you have to walk to there. We did the ROM 150 tour a couple of years ago and it was worth the money. Last summer we were back in Rome and did ROM 170 and it was a fantastic day.

This is the one we took as well . Well worth the money, but you will both be exhausted and satisfied at the end .

  12. Thanks so much for the great feedback. With the Best of Rome tour, did they at least drive by the Trevi fountain & Spanish steps?! Thanks!

Yes stopped at the Trevi Fountain and were able to spend some time there . The Spanish steps were not part of the tour in part because they were undergoing repairs / restoration .

  13. Has anyone done the Best of Rome tour through Princess? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

I did last year when I was on a two week cruise on the Royal. Although it was not a cheap tour m I thought it was well worth it due to the access to the Coliseum and Vatican. We were able to fit in a lot in a very short time . That being said, it was quite warm in Rome and there is a lot of walking involved and the pace was too much for some on our tour .

  14. I have used my passport card on every cruise since I received it . Depending on the itinerary, I do carry my book but I do not present it and leave it in the safe. The card is great as it provides compact proof of citizenship and can be used to secure other documents in case of emergency .

  15. Royal , Regal and Majestic, which are operated by Princess have the Skywalk . The Britannia which is also a Royal Class ship , but is operated by sister company P&O , does not .

  16. It all depends on what you have in mind. Do you want something public, then yes the CD, may be appropriate.

If a little more private , but you want it photographed , then coordinate with the photo department. I think a good location would be the sun deck (17) over the skywalk . I guess that would also depend on he time of day. Another location would be on Lido deck AFT near the Outrigger .

If you want something during meal service then talk to your head waiter or maitre d , I am sure they can arrange something special and also coordinate with the photo studio.
