  1. Exactly. We have all had that Maitre'd before! Any "service provider" that disappears the whole cruise and tries to save face at the 11th hour never gets anything extra from me.
  2. Very true, just wondering if we don't have a dedicated butler in place by then what lengths I would need to go to to have something delivered. I do remember snacking on things while we got ready for dinner in the past. Currently debating on my end if it is a must have or if it would be more of a hassle trying to get what I asked for then to just go up to the Retreat Lounge and look for something myself. Or not at all, depending on the way I plan to schedule my afternoons. I used to have a very specific routine on sailings, but it's been 5 years and I am forgetting how I did things 🤣
  3. Sure! We have a full ship too. Looks like only 2 cabins still open.
  4. I am just noting what it says on the website currently. Would be nice to have a butler next month.
  5. Interesting, as it is still stated on the list specifically for Sky Suites, but says a "Retreat butler and team". Celebrity suites have the same line, with the difference being it simply says "Butler" which of course means a dedicated butler per stateroom. Seems they should remove the "Daily delivery of afternoon savories upon request" statement for Sky Suites if they're just going to tell me "order from room service to get it."
  6. Apologies if this has been asked a hundred times, but with the changes with Sky Suites and butlers and then hearing most recently that they are adding butler service back to Sky Suites, I am not sure what is still the standard of service. Last cruise was on Edge pre-COVID in a Sky Suite and it was the best cruise experience we have had, so I am a bit out of the loop as to what has changed (and I am sure it is a lot)! We're on Apex next month. On Celebrity's website for Sky Suites it says "Daily delivery of afternoon savories upon request". I have read conflicting information for some staterooms regarding canapes, special food deliveries, etc, saying "not available" any longer. SO, seeing this, it want to confirm this statement IS true for Sky Suites, and, if you have asked to have something delivered daily, what have you asked for? I believe in the past I have asked for fruit - berries in particular, a cheese plate with any type of cheddar or pepperjack. Have also asked for shrimp have have gotten it. How far off the mark is the reality from this nowadays? I struggle to believe I will be able to eat on this ship like I used to so it's not really an expectation, but given that we have had it in the past it would be nice to have the option again.
  7. We are on Apex March 9, hope we also have a butler!
  8. Did they tell you what the cutoff is? My flight doesn't leave on SWA until 9:45pm and that is a longggg day to be stuck with our luggage since I have no plans to sit in the airport all day. If my flight isn't eligible then I guess I will be searching for a day pass at a hotel somewhere to hang because nope. Not sitting at the airport from 11am to 8pm.
  9. It always really bothered me to see "Millie" for Millennium and "Connie" for Constellation. I don't find the nicknames endearing 🤣
  10. I know, but if you see my photo above, the info about Eden page still shows $60 pp. Then you click next and suddenly it says $77.99 with the 8% discount off of $85. Apparently they just upped it and I missed that boat, but my point is that if it is $85 now, they need to get their act together and state that on the "about Eden" page. My concern is if I were to book the 3 night specialty package, I'd have to wait to book any reservations until I am on board and I am not cool with a 6 or 9pm res if that's all that's available for a certain restaurant on a certain night (or all), so for that matter I will probably just suck it up and book the 2 nights separately to ensure I can at least get in by 8pm those nights. The cost is excessive but what the heck isn't these days.
  11. Nope, my app was recently updated. Based on those costs though it makes way more sense for me to just book a package instead. Then we'd get 3 nights for the same price as if I did one now for Eden and Fine Cut.
  12. 45 minutes on the phone to be told "that is the price." 👎👎👎 They need to update their systems if they're going to try and charge $85 per person for Eden on board now. Has anyone else experienced this? Everywhere says Eden is $60 per person!
  13. Already been on the phone almost a half hour trying to get an answer to this. I have been transferred 3 times and each time I am waiting at least 10 minutes to speak to someone who needs to transfer me. Getting very annoyed.
  14. Haha, I did know that, but yes, just looked, says the same. At this rate it makes more sense to just cancel my Fine Cut reservations and then just get the 3 night specialty package for each of us.
  15. My apologies if this has already been asked or if there is an obvious explanation. I’ve been out of the cruising lingo since 2019 and we are booked for our first cruise since 2019 this coming March. I want to book Eden for a night and the app says the cover charge is $60 per person. Does anyone know why when I try to book the reservation it says it’s $77.99 per person? I get that they add on gratuities as well, but that’s not part of the $77.99 charge. I go on to the next step and it’s an additional $31.18 on there for gratuities. It’s not doing this for any other specialty restaurant, the prices all match up to what the app says for those. I want to reserve my time but certainly don’t want to pay more than I should. Anyone have an answer to this? Thinking I may have to just wait and call Celebrity in the morning.
  16. Interesting. We sailed Edge pre COVID in a Sky Suite and experienced none of the crowding issues you mentioned, and the ship was definitely full. I think it goes to show that every cruise is different.
