  1. Two years ago I took my 18 year old granddaughter on Discovery to Alaska. They had nightly meetings for 18-20 year olds. My granddaughter loved it and is still in touch with many of the "kids
  2. One thing too think about if you are thinking about upgrading to a mini - most of the minis have UNCOVERED balconies which may not be what you want in Alaska (only the minis on deck 8 are covered) and it does rain in Alaska!
  3. It is for full suite guests only - a pass key will be in the suite It is located on the 14th floor next to the wedding chapel
  4. Unless you are trying to make specialty dinner reservations (which they can help you with - especially the first night free dinner) you do not need reservations as you have reserved dining which is walk in anytime with little or no wait
  5. Our 19 year old granddaughter slept on the sofa bed and said it was very comfortable. The soot was minimal - we just used a towel to wipe off the railing and chairs to sit on so was not a real problem. Enjoy the suite - if it is your first suite on a Royal class ship be sure to learn about and partake in the suite benefits!
  6. We stayed in this suite last year to Alaska. We never heard anything from the Vista Lounge. Had a little soot on the balcony on the last 2 days and the balcony is not really covered at all but still loved the suite! Wanted to book it for Alaska next year but was not available. ENJOY
  7. Thank you edspec for the email address. Good idea about marking the door - will probably use picture of her support dog and will get a medallion holder that fits on her Apple Watch as she wears it all the time.Hopefully dining room staff will be helpful as she is very sensitive to food textures.
  8. Such a great positive review. I am cruising next year with my special granddaughter. I did not know there was a special assistance department and I would like to contact them too. I could not find a link on line. Can someone please provide information on how to contact them.
  9. I was in the starboard Owners Suite on Discovery last June and never heard anything from the lounge. The room is huge and the balcony is as well. Would book this room again in a flash!!!!
  10. The balcony in E728 while not as large as D726 balcony was more than large enough for 2 lounge chairs, round table with 4 chairs and 2 more chairs. The balcony had very little overhang - much more overhang in D726. The owners suite itself is much larger in the "living room" side but is mostly wasted space in my opinion. Can't go wrong with either
  11. My CVP called me about this a couple weeks ago - I told him no. There are different levels including suite and mini suite with differing deposits and "rewards"
  12. Thrak If you look at 2024 Alaska cruises on Discovery the Premier suite comes up as available for 4. I know as I had one booked for 4. I have cancelled and booked differently.
  13. Actually on the Discovery you can have 4 persons in a Premier Suite. They put a roll away in for the 4th passenger.
  14. Mucinex DM helped me a lot for my cough, throat lozenges helped with sore throat, and advil - but I had a very mild case (not on board but the day after I got home)
  15. We stayed in the Owners suite starboard side on the Discovery and heard No noise from the lounge. The room itself is much larger than the the S3. Really enjoyed being so close to the water
  16. We were in the starboard owners suite on the Discovery in June and had a small amount only on the next to last day - mostly on the railing
  17. Princess rep told me it would be around November 1st
  18. I can only speak for Discovery Owners Suite but there was no dining table in the suite. There is room for one in the "living room" but sadly there was not one - just a sofa that converted to a bed and an arm chair.
  19. We were recently on Discovery in owners suite. Nothing extra except space. Rooms separated by closets and curtain. Balcony while narrower was still huge over Dolphin balcony. No table unfortunately - just a sofa bed and arm chair. Lots of room for table though. Loved the room
  20. June 26th there were several waiting outside the terminal but we got off early (8:00am) If I remember right the fee was $55.00
  21. The mini bar consists of 8 small bottles of liquor, a couple beers, some tonic water, some Cokes, some diet Cokes, and some Sprite. I am not being specific as it depends on what is in stock. It is the same as what is given to Elite passengers. You can ask your steward or call room service to exchange for all soda. You will get 2 small bottles of water daily but the rest is not refilled. Since you are on a Royal class ship there are canned sodas available in the concierge lounge. We received "upgraded shower gel" but the same shampoo/conditioner combination as everyone else. Our upgraded turn down service was clean sheets everyday (we tried to tell him we did not need that but he said he had to do it)
  22. Last week it was port side Dolphin mid aft - not sure which exact cabins
  23. I am able to access all those cruises by using the down arrow next to the one date that comes up. Princess site changed a few days ago
