I'm so sorry Mark I wish there was something I could adequately say or do for you and your family. Please know that I will keep your daughter and your family in my thoughts and soul during this time. I am here for you anytime. You are doing the right thing by taking care of family first. The cruises can come later. Peace be with you and your family during this difficult time.

Safe travels wished for you. Do you think the reason why they did not ask to see your vaccination card is that it was already uploaded and in their system when you did check-in? -
Just off the Symphony and I am so disappointed!

@Ourusualbeach Question, does Symphony serve breakfast at the Wipeout Bar in the morning like Allure? -

So happy we will 2 sea days on Symphony next month. Retirement cruise on Explorer last November had no sea days and I was exhausted. With a large ship like Symphony and everything you can do onboard it's good to have sea days. -
Im trying to remember what Bob posted. I think it was a solo. Most drum solos are improvised. But all of us drummers have a internal library in our brains of so called “licks” and patterns. The key to a great solo are organizing those licks and patterns into a story. It’s hard to do. Some professional drummers will develop a solo for a tour and repeat some of the same elements in every concert.

That is extremely disappointing not to mention against fleet wide policy .

That's great. I'm sorry you having problems. I'm just waiting for ours to give out. It's the original when we had the house built 24 years ago. I'm amazed it has lasted this long. You are welcome. I usually don't post videos of myself playing because I don't want to appear narcissistic and egotistical. The other thing is I'm very hard on myself and hate seeing mistakes that I make. But I do it to try and improve myself. Thanks Lenny Yes you could tell he is still affected by grief which is so understandable. Ha deal!!!! How cool. What was his name? My best friend from high school who I had a band with still plays down at the Salty Dog Cafe in Hilton Head. He once did a stint on "Song of America" cruising around Hawaii.

I'm finishing up my Christmas music compilation mix right now. I'll start decorating day after Halloween since I love that holiday too. Here is the video. This is the WCC Big Band that I played in about 10 years ago. We recorded a Christmas album. I set up a camera in the drum booth because I am picky about analyzing my playing looking for ways to improve. You will notice I'm looking a lot to the left. The camera does not show the chart I am reading. Yes drummers have sheet music too. The chart shows me all the brass rhythms that I will sometimes accent or do a fill as as a setup. I'll never forget the look on Capt. Lee's face after he was told the last two charters had cancelled. The was a real look of horror about the pandemic. See above.

I read that before. He even at the request of Buddy Rich's daughter played on an album called "Burning For Buddy." Here is a clip of Neil playing with the Buddy Rich Big Band on a tune called "Cottontale." Karen was a fabulous drummer and said it depressed her when people would not take her drumming skills seriously. Horrible list and ridiculous to even have a list. All are excellent drummers that are completely different in their own styles and techniques. I was so obsessed with the drum solo in "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," that I wrote it out note for note. I like this one from their first television special.
