  1. @Kabuki12 Thanks for the report back and I am glad that it worked out OK. Hopefully the passengers who requested cabin changes were able to be accommodated or otherwise compensated. It would be interesting to hear from passengers who have been on board the Ruby when the New Love Boat is being filmed to hear about their experiences.
  2. Here is the picture I was referring to. It is possible that they filmed this at sunrise when not many people were out and about. Still, seems strangely empty.
  3. @Kabuki12 If I have done the math correctly, you cruise has ended. Can you report back on what the impact was?
  4. Carefully watching the "New Love Boat" which is filmed aboard the Regal Princess. Most scenes seem to be filmed in the Sanctuary or other locations which would seem to have limited impact on other guests, but one scene, where the women decide which men will be sent ashore, is filmed right in the center of the ship which affects two decks (in the area where the big screen is). I am seeing ~25 other passengers in the shot. The ship appears to be at sea, apparently in the late afternoon. My point is that if this is indeed a regular cruise that you would expect a lot of other passengers to be on those decks/pools/hot tubs on a nice afternoon in the Mediterranean. This must have had quite an impact for those on board.
  5. Thanks for the recommendation. We have not left on our cruise yet so your information is still timely for us.
  6. I see what you are referring to, but it is not really obvious when you look at your booking page. Look for the somewhat small print above the airplane symbol ("Travel').
  7. Glad to hear that the housekeeping and turn down services are being provided. Towel animals were something I remember from Norwegian Cruise lines but not so much from Princess.
  8. Hi, About three weeks till our cruise and I have "Green Lane" on the Medallion App, but I had not seen anything about how to print luggage tags so I searched around on the Princess website and found them and thought I might save others some time. For those looking for where to print your luggage tags, here are the instructions: 1. Go to the Princess website (not the Medallion App). 2. Once logged in, Go to “MyAccount”/ “Upcoming Cruises” 3. Click on “Manage This Booking” for the cruise you want to print tags for. 4. Along the top row choose “Check In.” 5. Choose the name of a person in the booking and “Print Travel Summary.” 6. You will then be given a choice of who, within the booking, you want to print tags for. 7. If the luggage tag reads that the cabin is “To Be Assigned” then you might want to wait until closer to your cruise.
  9. It would be wonderful if, on future ships, Oceania brought back the Promenade deck. Really enjoyed being able to take some long walks on a relatively protected deck on a recent HAL voyage.
  10. Returning to Princess for the first time since the pandemic I am wondering if twice-daily cabin service is still provided? I liked this level of service with a "major" cleaning during the day and turndown service at night. I know many hotel chains have cut back on their daily housekeeping so am wondering if this has also happened on board? Thanks,
  11. Thanks...... I used Google street view for a variety of spots along the way and it looked pleasant but wanted to check if that was actually the case.
  12. I believe you can request a key card which is fine if you don't wish to use the other features that Medallion offers. If you want to use the Medallion, but do not want to wear it, then you can carry it in a pocket or purse and there are a variety of accessories available from Princess, Amazon, etc. that allow you to carry it as a keychain-type set up and other arrangements.
  13. I should have specified that I know they have a shuttle but if it is a nice day and I'm not in a rush then I enjoy exploring new places on foot and having a chance to stretch my legs.
  14. Hello, I mapped out, on Google, a walking route from the San Pedro Double Tree by Hilton to the International Cruise Terminal. It looks like it would be about 45 minutes (2.3 miles). I am wondering if anyone has done this? I would be towing a two-wheeled bit of luggage. I'm wondering if the sidewalks are OK (or if they are even present!) and if the area is safe during daylight hours. Thanks for any feedback.
  15. Thanks! I am happy to hear this. The amounts involved won't be much and, as you say, I would not likely be revisiting the countries so keeping the funds would not be practical.
  16. Thanks for the offer.... This was more of a general question and especially if the cruise is stopping in a variety of countries.
  17. Thanks, but I was just looking for a British plug. I have a British-American adapter and am trying to determine if bringing that would give me an extra outlet to use.
  18. Does anyone know if you can hand in your unused foreign currency at the customer services desk and have the amount credited to your on board account. I realize that if this is possible then the exchange rate will likely be poor, but if you won't be using the currency then this would seem like a good alternative.
  19. Thanks...... I didn't think there were any but someone mentioned the possibility so thought I would check.
  20. Hello, Does anyone know if there are any British electrical plugs in balcony cabins on the Crown Princess? From videos I have seen US and European but heard that there might be some British ones? Thanks.
  21. Thanks...... I have noted that and will try that to reduce battery drain.
  22. Can you tell us what the setting was that you had to change in order to get the App to work correctly?
