    Hi everyone,

Received a letter from Carnival this morning saying that the stop at Antigua is now being replaced by Tortola on our cruise on the Carnival Magic starting February 29, 2020.

Anyone knows the reason why? Antigua was one of the reason we selected this itinerary (never been) and please tell me the beaches in Tortola are as nice (never been too) 🙂

    Thanks

    Jonathan

I am on this cruise also and just noticed this and also the reason I booked this cruise was because of Antigua. We 8 of us had the champagne lobster buffet catamaran tour booked. Can't find anywhere what they did to my money and we never were notified of this change. Typical of Carnival

  2. Just checked my cruise and noticed that they changed one of our ports of call from Antigua which the 8 of us have a tour booked there, to Tortola and they have nothing listed for this port to book. Kind of upset as I really wanted to go to Antigua as it was one of the favorite places and Tortola not so much. Can't find where to look to see if they have credited our account for the tour. Don't know if they give you credit on your account or if they credit your card back.

  3. I have never gotten  trip insurance before, and would like to this time as my mother is not well and 93 years old. Can someone give me some advice on where to research and purchase other then Carnival's insurance. Thanks for any help.  Linda

If I turn platinum on the 3rd day of my 8 day cruise, will my sign and sail card be Platinum or still gold

Yes I did the same thing on my last cruise and when I boarded the ship and got my card it was Platinum.

When we all got our first passports 2 years ago, hubby thought the card looked "cool" and he wanted the kids to have some sort of portable ID. That's why we have cards...

I have both and use mine all the time, I live on the Canadian border and it is just easier not to have to carry your passport with you for just a few hours in Canada. I have never been given a problem at the border. I would never leave my passport in the car while I did shopping in Canada and I don't carry only a very small purse so a pass card is much more convenient

  6. I did this itinerary on the Vista, that the Horizon is doing and loved it. The thing I didn't love was the ship, much prefer the Dream class ships over the new ones, they are so broken up and miss the large promenades on the older ones. They each have their good and bad points, so I guess that would be your choice but both itineraries are great. Also love sailing and staying in Miami the night before and going to Bayside.

  7. They have a great IMAX theater on the Vista, I believe the cost was $11.99 per person or close to it. Times were varied through out the night and I believe ending somewhere around 1 am. Was surprised at how big it was and the seating is great and very comfy. You can go ahead of time and buy your tickets at a kinkos and then go at the time you picked that night.

  8. If you can only use one device at a time..how can you message each other with the Carnival app?

Carnival app and wifi are two totally different things. Carnival app lets you contact people that are sailing with you and tells you what is going on around the ship. The wifi package give you email and access to different websites such as FB and twitter

  9. I was on the Vista in February and went to the IMAX theater and saw Fifty Shades Freed the day after it came out in theaters and it is really a great place but was quite large for a ship but wasn't crowded. Very comfortable seats and you don't have to worry about someone sitting in front of you and blocking your view as the seating for each row is high enough that it wouldn't matter if someone was in front of you.

  10. Now that our cruise date is approaching, I'm bumping to see if anyone has any input on Vista's deck 7 or the aft corner locations in general.

I can't state about the Vista as I won't be on her for at least two weeks, but I have always cruised aft and love it. We usually get a corner wrap balcony, and just love the view from the back. It is quieter as less traffic and never found anymore motion at the back. This is just my opinion but I will always book aft if available. Hope you enjoy your room and cruise

  11. Simple. Connect to WiFi network (there’s no password). Go to carnivalhub.com. There, it will ask for your folio (on your room key) and date of birth. You’re logged in

Is the carnival hub the wifi plan or just the Carnival Hub for $5, as I purchased the $82 dollar package for the week

  12. I just purchased the value Wifi plan on my sailing as I need to keep in contact for info on my mom. What do I have to do once I get on the ship to activate it, as I have never used the wifi from the ship and don't know what to do. Thanks for any help
