So according to this, I can get a small glass of Oberon Napa Cabernet, multiple times at dinner under the beverage package? Wonder if the waiter would just bring me a large glass, because I can easily drink a bottle at dinner....LOL
And TPGal, I too have a Rose problem!!!!!!
Isn’t that ridiculous! You can have as many glasses as you want, but must pay for a bottle.
The Riesling I enjoy on the list TPGal posted costs more for a glass than I pay for a bottle at the store.

Sorry, that was very old.

If you like vegetables, order one of each with your entree and share them. Their sides were very good.
-
Many of the Specialty restaurants are à la carte, socost would depend on what you order. With the package, you are able to order as many apps and desserts as you like, but any additional entrees after the first would be charged.
The fee you paid at booking is the gratuity.

It’s funny, lively, and an interesting take on “hanging out in a bar.” Not sure if they do this in the theater, but they passed out beer to the audience and had audience members join them onstage to interact and dance.

I saw Choir of Man last year. It was fabulous!
Is it no longer a dinner show? Not that that would be a bad thing as they rushed us through dinner before the show started and served Bangers and Mash that is available in O’Sheehans.

I believe most cabins that can sleep 3 or more will have a sofa.

Nassau was overbooked and NCL got bumped?

Following along....
Can’t wait for the next chapter!

Hmmm interesting. I wonder if this applies to bar/restaurants and not “official” paladors? We were told this “rule of thumb” by some other tourists. As we walked along Obispo we spot checked drink prices at a few table clothed places compared to non table cloth places where we were stopping for drinks and the prices were definitely about double. Not sure????
Maybe it’s like any other restaurant anywhere... you pay more for food at upscale restaurants ( those with tablecloths), so drink prices are probably higher too.
My father used to say, “You can’t taste ambiance, so why pay more for it?”

I was under the impression we were not able to go to government affiliated businesses.

Hi Jembacatoo
unusual seeing someone from Metuchen! I'm heading to Cuba in June with my friend that I grew up with since we were 2 in Metuchen!
Hi Marty’s mom,
We don’t actually live in Metuchen, just use their mailing address. Menlo Park Terrace, really. Still, I’d consider us neighbors.

IMO, the shore excursions credit is not worth it as the cruise charges much more than you can get on your own. I enjoyed the speciality dining on my last cruise, which was to Bermuda.
Maybe use the online booking page to see what is the best value for the 3 of you.

Thanks for the recommendation. I believe our tour coordinator suggested that as well.

Thanks, but since they don’t run that tour on Tuesday, we opted to use them for the full day private tour. Trying to figure out if there is a specific place I want to go for lunch and dinner.
-
Another thing for you to consider is if you get the drink package, your traveling companion needs to get it as well.

I was on the Escape last April and the weather was too chilly for a day at the beach. We booked a full day tour with Heidi Cowan through Byway tours.

The tour was informative and fun and Heidi’s love of the island came through as she drove us around to some wonderful sites. She even sent an itinerary for a walking tour we could do ourselves the day before.

What is the Tropicana show like? What is the cost?
It is an extravagant musical cabaret show. Depending upon how close you want to sit, tickets are between $75and $95. I believe a rum cocktail is included in that price.
A similar show, Cabaret Paresien, costs $40.
-
Is it better to book the Tropicana from the cruise line or from their website in advance and get a taxi?
Booking the Tropicana through the cruise ship is much more expensive than booking on your own. Tickets can be purchased through their website..

I haven’t sailed yet, but Open Bar on Sky and Sun includes all drinks costing $15 and under. Many are premixed to cut down on wait times.
Premium Plus includes all liquor and wine by the glass, as well as beer, regardless of cost. It also includes bottled water, fresh juice and specialty coffee in restaurants.
I opted to go for Premium as one of my perks because the wine I like is $17:49 per glass on the ship. I can also ask for a better brand of liquor in a mixed drink and have it made fresh.

We are going April 16, but our tour guide is purchasing the tickets for us.
The hotel website offers this info:
To make a reservation contact the tourist desk in the lobby.

Norwegian Escape has large balconies on deck 9 that overlook the Waterfront. Only downside is no privacy as they extend past the balconies on deck 10.

I can only answer some of your questions:
There are no reservations for the MDR. Simply show up a little before you want to dine and will be seated as tables are available.
The dining package is a fixed price and the gratuity is 20% of that price. You can order as many apps and desserts as you want, but some restaurants limit you to one entree. A second entree will be charged, along with the appropriate gratuity, should you want one.

TPGal, that’s the one I was referring to. Luckily for me, I’m sailing on the Sky next month and a perk was the Premium Beverage Package. I can drink it as much as I like!
