I wish we could but Denali Park is on my DH's wish list and for health reasons we can't keep putting it off. He also decided he wanted late August because he has always wanted to see the salmon run. I would prefer mid summer (or the Mediterranean) but this is his trip and I will prepared for whatever the weather brings....
We are booked for August 28th and are doing a land tour pre-cruise. Everything I have read is to be prepared for rain so we will pack accordingly, if we don't need rain gear great but we will be ready just in case.
Wish I was web savvy so I could get info for my August cruise tour 😉 Thank you for the information at least I an get an idea of what to expect for the land tour portion.
We were on the Gem in a DOS and had breakfast and lunch in Moderno daily and we also had 3 bottles of liquor in our cabin. This was post Covid October 2021.
We plan on the private transfer instead of shared. When we land we want our vacation to begin ASAP and waiting for a van/bus to fill is not our idea of starting off right. It might be more but it is well woth it to us.
Thank you! I was not aware of a trolly that would take us to CB pier and DH was hoping to spend some time there. I just might look at flying in 2 days pre-cruise so we can spend time in CB and check out restaurants near the pier.
We are leaning toward staying at one of the newer hotels in Port Canaveral either Hampton Inn or Home 2 suites. We will not have a car and were wondering how walking is in the area? It does not look like there is much on that side of the main road as far as dining near these hotels. Thank you in advance for any thoughts or ideas.
Thank you for the question and answer. We would like to spend a day or two in Cocoa Beach pre-cruise and I was wondering the same thing as we will not have a car and plan to use one of the transfer companies from MCO to Cocoa Beach that I see recommended here on CC
We are looking at cruise control - they have a private transfer but runs $110 for two people. To us it will probably be worth it just to have them waiting for us at the airport and take us to a Cocoa Beach Hotel.
I guess if there were two lines - maybe one for those with reservations I would be more comfortable showing my card but if I did not have reservations I would feel awkward walking in front of others without reservations to show my card. We dine early usually around 5:30 so we never encounter lines.
