I am booked on the Escape but not until March...My excursion that I booked for Ocho Rios has also disappeared from my account and it does not show any excursions available in Ocho so my guess is a glitch.
An update: Each person of the group emailed and requested the "consultant" to check into the information she had given them....They all recieved a response saying they fly into Anchorage and will be bussed to Seward and also and apology for not having her facts correct. Maybe a new consultant? I don't know but I am lucky because I have an awesome cruise consultant and have had him for 10 plus years.....
I told my friends they might look for another consultant because when questioned she did not even check just kept saying they fly into Seward. They even asked about the train transfer from anchorage to Seward and they were told not needed.
I have a group of friends planning an Alaskan cruise for next year. Their cruise consultant told them they fly into Seward. We are cruising next week and fly into anchorage. I told her two check with her cc and again they were told they fly into Seward. Am I incorrect? Is there an airport I. Seward?
This is good to know...we arrive in DFW at 7:35 pm and our flight out is at 8:30 am - we decided on the Grand Hyatt and were hoping to not claim baggage just to drag it to the hotel and re-check it in the morning.
I understand how people are concerned about the cut backs in cruising. For my husband and I we still cruise to see different places that we would never visit otherwise which has always been our priority. We book a cruise for the ports not the ship or any other reason and to us it is still the best way to vacation.
We arrive at 8:35 so we will probably be on the same transfer. I am counting down the days. We have a mini vacation with the grandkids to Estes park Colorado next week and then it will be time for me to start packing for our cruise!!
I sure am happy I checked cruise critic because my cruise shows I owe $$ and when I went to check into it further I got the Uh-Oh page.....Panic set in. Thank you cruise critic members for this thread!
We have booked Springhill Suites in Cape Canaveral for a two night stay pre cruise. I am looking for transfer recommendations. It seems transfers only take us to Cocoa Beach hotels or to the cruise port. We don't mind a private transfer although I am sure it would be pricier. Thank you in advance.
We have run into this problem also. Looking into a private transfer from MCO to Springhill Suites Cape Canaveral with Cruise Control. It is a bit pricey at $110 for two. We are then taking the post cruise excursion to KSC with airport drop off and have reserved a room at the hotel inside MCO flying home the next morning.
We have booked the Viva for 2025 ( a long way out) but it stops in Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao and St Lucia. We have never been to these ports so I am so happy you are sharing so many photos!
Looking forward to your review...Your last review was the reason my DH and I booked Alaska.
I would also like to say you are an awesome daughter! If I had a do over in life it would be to spend more time with my dad and to take him to Alaska!!
I thought I was the only person that used the virtual walking maps on google...glad to know I am not alone. I also do the same and research every port, activities, points of interest and DIY walking tours, etc....
