  1. I have sailed twice since the pandemic and about to go again. Both cruises were enjoyable, my issues are poor entertainment options and consistency in the quality of food (both were an issue pre-pandemic). Service is still top notch. I'm sure you will enjoy and not notice much change.
  2. I found the shore ex team on the onward in January was similarly poor. Could have cared less about the quality of their tours or client satisfaction. Re: entertainment, I've said it before....but my local high school puts better entertainment on stage. Such a shame.
  3. My experience is Onward isn't as good as the other ships, but I'm hoping it has improved.
  4. I had to request the cards when I was on the Onward as well, I had a couple of mess ups.
  5. If I had a dollar for every time an Azamara agent was convinced my OBC problem was solved, I could have already paid for my next cruise. It just goes on and on and on and on. Another 2.5 hours on the phone with them yesterday, they promised it was fixed. Then I got 3 automated emails....all with different OBC amounts. There's just no end to this mess. How are they possibly profitable at this rate? I'm now getting worried that they are going to leave me stranded mid-cruise in a bankruptcy situation.
  6. My most recent 2 experiences in Blu were not as good as the MDR (surprisingly). I used to love Blu. With respect to ports, Azamara goes to a heck of a lot of big ship ports too, let's not forget that. it's certainly not all small ports all the time. Far from it. Even the late night/overnight sales pitch is an over-emphasized benefit. My most recent Onward cruise in the Caribbean, we pulled out of port every single time before the big ships did, and they usually do a White Night on an overnight or late night call, so if you want to attend that you may as well be at sea (if that was actually feasible). There are pros and cons for each.
  7. I similarly loved the Edge. I will say though that my sailing on the Millennium in November was even better. Probably the best food, service and crew I have ever experienced.
  8. It is when they are deducting the Canadian dollar value off the US dollar value. I had $700 USD OBC and they were deducting the Canadian price off of that like it was on par.
  9. My confidence in Azamara has been restored after getting through to a VERY helpful agent today who resolved my issues after months of trying. They are finally getting their act together.
  10. This was definitely offered on my Greek Isles sailing last year. Don't think I saw it on the Caribbean itinerary in January though, but not sure.

  12. The issue is that from my understanding, the cruise port in Fusina is in an industrial area...so you really can't walk anywhere. Usually when they dock in this kind of port they at least give you a shuttle into town. But, I see that there is a water transfer that you can buy from Fusina Port at a car park there for 10 Euros ....so if I can actually walk to that I'll just do that instead of paying the cruise line for a On Your Own Tour. I'm going to be miffed though if they don't have a shuttle as it is total misrepresentation.
  13. As you will overnighting in Choggia - I will be interested in knowing if Azamara is going to provide a free shuttle into Venice. I will be overnighting in Fusina (closer to Venice) next month, and am wondering if they are going to provide a shuttle on my cruise. Figure they would do for both those ports if they are planning on doing so. On my last cruise in January they were not providing the usual shuttle in several ports which was annoying as they always advertise that shuttle service is a reason to book with them over other lines.

  15. They are probably working on your account. Mine switched from an incorrect balance with my old number last week over to a new number with a zero balance for several days, and has now reverted back to my old number with an updated points balance --- which is strangely a little higher than it was at the beginning of February. Another mystery.
  16. I have filled it out twice and was fluffed off both times. Last time told end of June before my points would be corrected. How the President allows this stuff to go out with her name on it is beyond me. she must be completely clueless.
  17. Agree completely. The food on my 3 Celebrity cruises this year was vastly superior to what I had on both the Journey and Onward this year.

  20. I don't use cruise line air because I usually use points, but agree with you that it is often worthwhile to book your air with the cruise line for the reasons you mention. I share the bankruptcy concern and have been investigating options in case that scenario unfolds. They can't be bringing in many bookings these days, and the delay in passengers making final payments until their accurate pricing appears on their website must surely be causing a cashflow problem. If anything on the website matched either my original invoice, OBC amount, shore excursions booked or even my loyalty points/status I would feel much better....but my previous email from Azamara Loyalty stating this would all be corrected by end of May is clearly yet another fail by the Azamara management team. I think those prominent staffers who left for other cruise lines saw all this unfolding just as it has. Sad.
  21. I'm actually very much considering that Phil. I'm trying to find another cruise that will work with the land portion of my trip. I see no point being loyal to this company that can't get it's act together.
  22. I feel for you. I am sailing in August and it has been a complete nightmare dealing with Azamara. I still haven't paid my final payment (because they still have the number wrong) and I don't trust that they won't file for bankruptcy the day after I pay it.
  23. I can't get Chrome or Firefox or Safari to load them. This company is beyond pathetic at this point.
