I agree with the principle...but considering they put out the same thing you can get almost every night elsewhere on the ship for free, and unless you happen to want the one umbrella drink they reduce the price on that day you pay full price for the drinks, I think stealing may be a little harsh...
Then, why not just get it for free in that other venue?
Not, as the previous poster suggested, lie -- pretending to be
in a suite.
Personally, I have never found the suite/elite cocktail hour worth
going to, and it would be fine if they simply discontinued it.
It's certainly not anything I would ever bother the sneak into.
-
And even though it is suppose to be reserved, anyone can go. Most of the time no one is there to check access. And if there is, just say you are in a suite and they will let you in.
Personally, I prefer not to steal. But, that's just me.

Yes, you can embed or attach, but it will be slow unless you have reduced the photo size significantly.
I don't think this is correct. If you are using the princess e-card
app, you can't paste an image into the text input box on your
browser screen.
You might be able to type a link, but for that to work
you would have then had to have somehow gotten the
image to an off-ship server to link to.
-
At this very minute...Princess is scheming a way to now charge for these. ;)[/
LOL! I bet you are right!! :p
Shhhh! Lets keep it on the down low!!!! ;)
If you save the URL, you can use it from home, too.
The only problem I had with the cards, is you have no idea
how long/if they will be delivered. Some went instantly,
some took a day or two.
And, there is no way for someone to directly reply.
It's a little risky for anything important.

I have never been on a cruise where you couldn't get into a speciality restaurant on any given night. However, that being said I would imagine that on some cruises and some nights (like formal night) the speciality restaurants may be fully booked. If I were you I would book on embarkation day and change or cancel if you need to without a charge.
I have found the resturants most heavily booked on holiday cruises,
like New Years eve.

This just came in, hot off the presses (thanks Salazar family):
If you have any doubts about your cell service being available at a reasonable cost, get an ATT Tracfone before you head out and leave the contact info for your family. ATT works in all US Ports we are sailing to.
ATT and Tracfone are different companies.
The pre-paid ATT phone is "Go Phone"
Tracfone uses various providers, and may or may not be ATT
in specific areas.

Are you kidding me?!!! Sneaking food off the ship?! Now i've heard everything!
So, one day I'm making toast in the morning in Cafe Caribe.
I standing at the toaster guarding the output, to protect my
toast, as are a few other people.
One woman there says to another -- there are those muffins
that your mom likes so much.
Second woman says -- yeah, she really likes them. Every cruise
she takes home a bag full of them.

I am still trying to figure out how one plugs a nightlight into the bathroom outlet. Every Princess ship i have been on has only had those special outlets ibt he bathroom that will only accomodate an electric shaver.
You need a light with a non-polarized plug (which is what the
outlet is)

The OP really didn't want to start an environmental discussion here but rather was asking a simple question.
Really? I thought the purpose of the post was to vent that
he couldn't use the self-serve laundry, and that the people
he asked about it were not responsive.
I base this on all the inflammatory language used: 'held captive',
'spew', etc. If the post were 'a simple question', I don't think
the language would have been used.

Be aware that many of the tables for two are just a table for 4 (or more) with one table pulled 6 to 12 inches from the next one.
We were having breakfast one morning on Ruby. When we enterered
the dining room, they offered us the option of joining a large table,
or a table for two.
We took the two-top, which was as Paul describes, in a line of about
a dozen two-tops with 12" in between each one.
This was fine.
A woman at the next table talks to us. And keeps talking to us.
And keeps talking to us.
What I didn't get -- if she was so talkative, why didn't she just
opt for the larger table?
It was fine, just a little amusing.

Buggystuff, you have it wrong here. On the Emerald is Arny Galoyo, present until March 7. and then again April 17 - July 17.
I think, in that break March 7 - April 17 is Barty.
And, if I remember correctly, he's then doing the TA on the Ruby.
...so that he could end up in England for some charity work.
-
Does anyone know if the current CD on Ruby- Lisa Ball will still be on in March? We will be sailing on Ruby March 13th and have heard a lot of not so favorable reviews of her as a CD. Just wondering if she will still be there in March and if not, does anyone know who the new CD will be while she is on vacation?
If you read cruise critic for a while, you really wonder why anyone
cruises on princess.
Name nearly any cruise director here, and a couple people will post
how they hate them, and they are the worst cruise director they
have ever seen.
Name any entertainer, and a few people will post how they hope
they are never on the same ship with them again.
Anytime dining? People will post how they had an awful experience,
had to wait, and are going back to traditional.
Beds? Way too hard, even with a topper.
So, to me, the only opinion of a cruise director that matters is
mine. If I listened to the opinions here, I'd just stay home.

Emerald Princess - Barrington (Barty) Brown - Present til ?
Barty signed off on 11/28
He's doing the ruby transatlantic in the spring.
And, 40 days in the winter -- but I can't remember if it's
on Emerald or Ruby
He's a nice guy. We first saw him on the old Crown Princess in 1992

Latest prices $35.21 or £23.24
Latest NYSE price is $32.53

Waste of time. You have to tender to a sand spit. Next time we will stay on the ship. I can enjoy my food better when it doesn't have sand in it. This is just my opinion.
I've been to princess cays a couple dozen times. I've never had sand in my food.
If you don't like the place -- that's fine. No need to make up things.
More people should stay on the ship. It would make the tender lines
shorter for those who do want to go.

Last year on Crown, the mini-bar setup include a card offering
to restock each item, and its price. Based on the re-stocking
price, this is what it worked out to:
Courvoisier VS $6.25 2 $12.50
Beefeater Gin $4.95 2 $9.90
Smirnoff Vodka $4.95 2 $9.90
Canadian Club Whisky $4.95 2 $9.90
Dos Equis Beer $4.35 2 $8.70
Tonic Water $1.95 2 $3.90
Coca Cola $1.95 2 $3.90
Sprite $1.95 2 $3.90
Bottled Water $2.00 2 $4.00
Perrier $2.65 2 $5.30
Total $71.90
Last week on Emerald, I traded the whole thing for sprint zero,
and received 20 cans. The trade seems a little stingy.

Reading this thread proves:
This is a law that no one truly understands or can describe.
I disagree. Reading this thread shows that people who don't
understand the law post just as much as those who do.

Cordova Rd? For all you cruisers: this is the Publix which is off 17th St. and closest to the port.
Arlene -- Cordova Road is the actual street address.
I recall you being confused about this before.
A more useful description might be "behind embassy suites,
in the same plaza as total wine" -- as those seem to be cruiser
landmarks.
-
Just wondering if anyone has seen Arnotts Tim Tams for sale in USA - specifically Fort Lauderdale or Los Angeles?
Found these today, at the Publix on Cordova Road in Ft. Lauderdale:

Fortunately, I have an advanced math degree
Then, why were you playing a negative-expectation game to begin with?

If there is a big problem with people lining up as they show up, they
should treat it like a theme park fast pass.
If there is enough room for people to line up -- let them.
If there isn't, as people show up, give them a card with a time
that they will be able to return and check-in.
That's first come, first serve, and mostly solves the problem.
