  1. Cup or cone, yummy😋 The areas near pools are crowded...found this locale to be easiest back in late May this year. Enjoy
  2. Many videos on youtube that are computer renders, but yes. From MSC, not just a ride... The MSC Seascape will also feature two brand-new virtual reality experiences and a range of other high-tech entertainment designed to be enjoyed by holidaymakers of all ages. ROBOTRON is a state-of-the-art robotic arm with an attached gondola that seats three guests – flying them 53 meters above the sea. Riders will have an unobstructed 360° view of the horizon as they hang over the edge of the deck, twist and turn upside down in different directions, and flip upside down. ROBOTRON will offer a personalized DJ experience where guests are invited to curate their musical journey with colours, music preferences and more, according to the cruise line. Seated on the mixer, guests will find themselves behind the DJ booth, with the rhythm and bass visualized as colorful patterns, pulses of light and people dancing on a giant video screen all while the robotic arm is bouncing and twisting in tempo. Riders can also select their thrill level, making ROBOTRON both a family-friendly and high-thrill experience
  3. Thanks Dennis! Gonzo is right, this site needs more truly helpful/factual posts and replies! We will be boarding Divina in PC as well. Cheers!
  4. Exactly, and MSC allows clean nice shorts in MDR on any night, including formal and gala on Caribbean cruises. Many on this forum have a bias/interest in trying to maintain a myth to suit their own preferences about what others should wear.... Again myself and most cruisers on MSC do not care what others wear. Cheers!
  5. Hi- At Terminal, it depends...we always put in a bag we are carrying onboard. For us, we have not had an issue with a spinning brush dryer or flattening iron. Twice it was a pull it out and discuss with person at xray conveyor...all the other times...nothing. If they refuse to let you take it onboard, we hear they will return it at the end of the cruise. Enjoy your cruise! Cheers! Note: for a very reasonable fee, you can have a wash/style/do-up in the salons...for those special nights! Just make appointments early after boarding...it is a pampering we regularly indulge...plus use OBC 😃
  6. Hi- 8205 will be very similar to 8098 show in this video. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/slideshow-cabin.php?ship=MSC-Meraviglia&cabin=8098 This site has images and videos of several cabins by deck. Hope this helps. PS love Mera and the class of ship overall Enjoy your cruise!
  7. Hi- you do not get to say...MSC gets to say. MSC has never turned my DW, cruise friends, nor myself away from any venue, on any night in shorts. Do I wear cut-off jean shorts no, nor other ragged shorts...it is the Caribbean and I like the comfort of shorts, just as my significant other likes her shorts, skirts, dress, etc on these Caribbean cruises...which are very relaxed and usually warm, humid, sunny in the day. Interesting how many commenters/posters want to tell others how they should dress and what languages are acceptable...etc I say tux or T shirt...it is your cruise to choose... Sorry, not sorry that MSC is much more accepting than some of the narrow/historic mindsets presented on this forum! We must do something, Harrumph! Enjoy your cruise, without trying to control how others choose to enjoy their cruise! Cheers!
  8. Fact the MSC website is for all ships and destinations. The Daily Program(s) are tailored to the specific cruise and ship you are enjoying. Those Daily Planners only "Suggest" Dress for Evenings Example from May on Seashore eastern Caribbean See below: If you have Daily Program from any MSC cruise that states requirements on Dress, do share images for us to all learn the Facts.
  9. Frenched lamb chops on Seaside dinner buffet Divina MDR by request to chef, butter chicken Always good: filet in Butchers Cut Pizza duh!
  10. Many Cruisers or potential MSC cruisers are looking for Facts, not biased opinions. Fact: MSC determines dress code Recommendations and or Requirements, along with how they choose to enforce those on a case by case basis. Not the internet fashion police🤣 Many folks on here are Caribbean cruisers and on MSC, my recent multiple ship and cruise experience in the last 5 years, wearing shorts are never an issue in MDR on Gala and Formal nights along with YC, theater, lounges, etc... Unlike many on this forum, I do not care if other passengers are in a T-shirt or a tux...it has ZERO impact on my cruise experience. Many times there are words/phrases/ideas/perceptions that are put forward that actually mask the underlying mindset. All people, in all clothing choices, from all lands/cultures are always welcomed at any table I occupy! Enjoy your cruises! Cheers
  11. I have seen several basket and foot balls (soccer) on Meraviglia Never heard that these were not available... Same on Seashore in May, plenty on rack next to court. We like to talk smack and shoot some hoops... But if it is that important, bring a couple...if the ship has them...give yours to some kids at one of your port stops! Winning!
  12. Selion has it, same for us... Excellent reply with screen capture to illustrate; well done!
  13. Super fast and factual response by Jagr (with relevant/current screen capture)!!! This is what is great about this Forum! Enjoy your cruise! Cheers
  14. Hello Fellow MSC Fans and the critics- You are allowed to wear shorts/skirts/skorts/kilts etc in the MDR, Specialty Restaurants, Theater, Lounges...there are suggested costumes, formal, and other themes...but never have seen it enforced on MSC in the Caribbean in last 5 years. Myth that shorts are not allowed on ladies and or gents of any age in the MDR and/or Yacht Club is just not accurate. There is much commentary again about people being kicked/escorted/ jailed/ drawn & quartered...usually from the same keyboard warriors on this forum that promote this myth and comment on it. It is your cruise to enjoy in your manner, speaking the language of your choice, and wearing the apparel you are comfortable in (within the enforced MSC guidance). Much of the banter from the monocle and top hat crowd on this forum sounds familiar to me. Some say it is the me, me, me crowd that wears shorts (clutching my pearls)...while they are trying to shame/force others to their me, me, me world view....tad hypercritical. Similar points of view about hair styles, music, swimwear, etc...one-sided perspectives for sure. I do not shame anyone in a gown, tux, or costume of any style...in fact several occasions, I complement them and offer to take their pictures and have a nice exchange of words... I would never ask to change tables due to another person's wardrobe choice, nationality, if they have a walker/wheelchair, lisp, language, hairstyle, same sex partner/orientation/pronouns etc. Those that do make the table changes, well that speaks volumes about character, acceptance, kindness, empathy... Enjoy YOUR Cruise the way you want, in shorts or formal... Cheers!
  15. Hello Shelly- Enjoy YC with your family in any manner that is comfortable for you. Do not let the monocle and top hat folks here tell you how to dress. I paid for my cruise, I will enjoy it the way I see fit. I wear shorts/tshirt/flipflops/hats...anytime I want onboard. Never have been asked to change or refused service by MSC staff in YC, MDR, or specialty restaurants, nor theaters/lounges. Some folks enjoy formal wear on cruises, that's fine...for me it is about relaxing... cruise hair! don't care...put on a hat and have dinner😃 Cheers, enjoy your cruise the way you want...others can suggest...but when they try to tell you what to do...they can pack sand!
  16. Hi JT- Divina does not have intranet, only browse or stream internet packages. Was onboard a few weeks ago and back on Divina in Oct. We love Divina and do not find the lack of "smart ship" MSC for Me to be an issue. Cheers and enjoy your cruise!
  17. MSC does squeeze OJ every morning from fresh oranges! FYI, the prices are in line with major breakfast sit-down chains...so not out of line. The Easy Plus package does include fresh squeezed juices...Last on Divina we did not have Spa package, but still went to juice bar and had fresh fruit smoothies that were included with Easy Plus😃
  18. Hi, the lobster rolls are at food truck on the left hand side before the entrance to the Yacht Club beach...just past the employees beach. Can't remember the exact price, but under $15, well worth it. Hours vary based on your ship arrival (actual arrival vs. scheduled due to wind/weather)...plus they have been known to sell out. Enjoy OC regardless!
  19. Jiffy Jeff employs professional/commercially licensed/insured drivers and you are in large newer and well maintained Mercedes Sprinter vans...I am not going back to ride share for FLL to MIA...even if the Pros' cost twice as much. Uber/Lyft drivers have basic license and in south Florida you can get some slapped out high mileage poorly maintained vehicles with weird smells. Florida Man memes exist for a reason! How many Uber/Lyft vehicles have you been in South Florida with both check engine and airbag warning lights?!?! 2-5 miles in Miami or other inner city, I will risk it....FLL to MIA not again! Good Luck!
  20. Yeah! the laundry shrunk my cloths!!! Not an issue with the buffet, MDR, bars, pizza late night, nor the gelato nor Venchi... always the laundry and that darn hot water! Cheers, enjoy your cruise... Never any smells with MSC laundry and I'm sensitive as well.
  21. Hi, YC beach...snorkel past and around rocks toward crew beach...then go in channel toward outer shark net...that is where I saw the large turtle. Yes the LG came around on watercraft and made me leave☹️ Lagoon has nada due to nets and both entrances and no reef. Over by helicopter pad there is some good snorkeling with rays and sharks, water is rough. Cheers
  22. Yes, West India dock by the dead frog🤣...was there 4 weeks ago. Walk out to the traffic light and there are many "independent" gypsy cabs in the Pueblo grocery store parking lot. Crazy Crab is also very good. Enjoy your trip! Cheers
  23. Hi Rhea- It is not clear, did you use a TA or other 3rd party to book your original cruise? What is existingreservations.com? Cheers!
