  1. Sounds as if MSC, is not the cruise line for the OP and many of those that replied.
  2. Huge problem, avoid Yacht Club...plus they take all the butter 😔
  3. No, this site/forum is an echo chamber of a few! 2021 MSC had 723,000 passengers 2019 MSC had 2,700,00 passengers https://www.statista.com/statistics/1096918/msc-cruises-passengers-numbers/ FYI, Yacht Club is packed with "non-YC" people...avoid this cruise line! Cheers and enjoy your cruise on another line.
  4. Jagr is spot on... that's how it works! If beach time is of interest...Uber or Lyft to beach and rent chairs and umbrellas if wanted. Resort for day and resort pass are both good options too Shopping is also very popular in Miami, largest mall is Brickell Center. Cheers and enjoy your cruise!
  5. Different perspective, SEASCAPE May in YC deck 19 and none of the issues described above (not referring to outlets or night lights). Hope they enjoy another cruise line and the fabulous YC folks don't have to hear their complaints. Cheers and goodbye!
  6. Hi PGH- 2 wheels summed it up well... MSC doesn't "compare" well to the other lines... If you are open to try something different it might work out. FYI- never was an issue with butter on MSC...just the complainers didn't have the ability to read dutch, german, nor French...it wasn't labeled Merican 🤣 i.e. country crock
  7. Never had/heard of dinner on pool Deck grill...snacks/drinks/deserts depending on weather Breakfast and lunch on pool Deck are our favs
  8. Also do you have ability to status match with hotel/airline? Some credit cards give you automatic hotel status and MSC does match. March sailing gives you time.
  9. What level does it show when you look at your booking online? That is what level you will most likely receive at check-in.
  10. On Seascape twice and several of us used the 50% off our 1st F1 "ride"...no other purchase was required nor asked about....none in our groups had fun pass....just diamond status.
  11. Hi MAGS- The port has shuttle bus to get you from Pier/terminal to parking lot. It is a bit of a roundabout journey. Uber works and there are taxi as well at this lot. We used Uber, super easy...but depending on when you're disembarking there might be a rush of people. Awesome food and gelato in town, Enjoy!
  12. Battery power doesn't require outlets, never saw plug in "tea lights".
  13. Actually outlets in cabin are energized/ live when your cruise card is in the slot, has nothing to do with which, if any, lights are turned on.
  14. Note for all, the 50% off is the 1st experience..ie a $6.00usd savings
  15. Drove my Bentley to the grocery and Grey Poupon went up a nickel!!! A whole nickel, I tell you! Newsflash, stuff went up in price: gasoline, groceries, utilities, everything including cruising. If you can't afford or do not like the price, just do not book. Funny what some find to complain about. Pour another drink if you can afford it and Cheers to any cruise!
  16. Hi Jules- No night lights in Seascape cabins, either YC or standard. Little battery LED tea lights or other work great. The regular bathroom lights are jarring 🤣
  17. All must have adult or child package if in same cabin.
  18. Hi Hangman- Have been on Seascape almost a month total...what can I share?
  19. NMsunset

    Dress code

Gail & Dan- Casual like shorts or jeans work all nights in all venues...7 cruises on 6 different MSC ships in last 12 months...3 of those in Europe and 4 were in yacht club. As another person said, there are many self proclamed fashion police snobs on this forum. Cheers and enjoy your cruise!
  20. For the facts: SEASCAPE is a smart ship! Free MSC for Me App has your realtime charges/billing clear as daylight Your cabin TV has the same billing information Any of the Touchscreens around the ship has the same billing information Customer service will print it out any day/time you wish You can ask your cabin Steward to delivery your printed statement daily with the Dailes All of this is clearly stated on your boarding paperwork, or just ask when you are onboard... Easier than navigating cruise critic 🤣🤣🤣
  21. Hi not sure the drink package nor which ship you are referring. With Easy Plus, in last 3 cruises (last 12 months) they happily would make any drink in package a double. Enjoy your cruise!
  22. Hi Cruzlover- We are boarding 4/29 Meraviglia and will also be walking from our hotel to Pier 11 in the morning. I have been on Mera before and am excited for the 1st time boarding in Brooklyn. Was on Seascape on maiden trip that ended in Manhattan last December. Cheers
  23. Just off Belissima in February, Grandiose in January, and in Nov-Dec Seascape to NYC the house wines are not very good...if you are much of a wine drinker...maybe splurge on some bottles or by the glass for something good while onboard. We drank in POC for very reasonable prices and was allowed to board carrying a bottle each...we bought onshore...no questions...was only $10usd bottles so we thought it was worth a try... Enjoy your cruise...
  24. Hi itchy- How many MSC cruises have you been on? Based on your signature list of past cruises and post history...it appears that You have NEVER cruised MSC, yet are commenting on the food 🙄🤔🤔... FYI: The OP mentions meat, fish, and salads... Lots of noise/opinions/rumors on this site with little factual/helpful info... Thanks to Jagr and others who regularly post factual unbiased info! Sorry to the OP for having to sift through... MSC is a good experience for some folks and terrible for others. Not a hater nor cheerleader...it works for us...many it does not. We specifically want a cruise experience that the typical USA lines do not offer...we do not want MSC to be more like the other lines nor walmart/mcD/disney...etc Cheers, enjoy the cruise line/experience of your choice!
  25. Hi Rascal- MSC is not comparable to "other lines" nor should it be. McD's, Taco Bell, Five Guys, Chilis, fast and or fast casual chain this and that in the USA...many like it...we do not ever eat at these types of places. Food is sooooo subjective... For us: Example on Seascape the buffet had wonderful selection during "normal" MDR times. Indian dishes to include butter chicken and various curry dishes. Lamb chops two different ways two different days Multiple fish options Shrimp Pre-made salads Caesar salads with chicken or shrimp Build your own salads great Italian pizza... If you like food at non-USA chains in Europe, you will probably be happy On the other hand, if you only like USA chain/comfort food/typical home cooking...you will probably be not so happy. If you want the same/similar experience as the "other lines", then book those. Another example for us on 5 different MSC ships in the last 12 months. Breakfast on MSC, biscuits and gravy is Horrible! But MSC has: Crusty bread, some heavy with seeds Great European cheeses and salamis/cold cuts Smoked salmon Poached eggs Roasted tomatoes So choose what you want in your cruise experience. Cheers and enjoy your cruise!
