Are you speaking of Garage C or B?

Unfortunately, Garage C is closed 😞

Wow!! Didn't know that. I wonder if we can park in the new NCL garage which is right next to Terminal C? Or, Garage D, which is a little father walk but not too bad.

We are (hopefully) cruising on the Meraviglia next month.

We are fully vaccinated but know we must still get tested at the pier.

If you have no symptoms but test positive, what happens to you ?

I have heard you get your cruise money back but then, what ??

Are you free to leave ??? Are you taken somewhere & forced to quarantine ?

If so, I would assume it would be a designated hotel.....probably at great expense.

Just trying to make contingency plans as we have to travel cross country.

Any first hand info would be appreciated.

    thanks

This scenario wold be a nightmare. I've had 5 cruises cancelled over the last 1 1/2 years and am so looking forward to this one. I'm vaccinated and so is my roommate. She is retired and says she's not leaving her house the 2 weeks prior to the sailing..lol..I don't have that luxury, I'm a manager at Disney World and will be working right up till the day before we leave. Needless to say I will be wearing my mask from now to embarkation. Inquiring if I can get a booster of the Pfizer vax, which I have gotten earlier this year. Not being offered as of yet but If offered I'll be first in line.

  3. I've got 2 sailings coming up on Meraviglia ( Oct & Jan ) and 1 on Seashore ( June ). All are in the Yacht Club. The 2 sailings on Meraviglia are similar in pricing. The Seashore is about $1000 more. Understandable it being a new ship.

Thanks for the post. I do believe this is just some type of place holder time for now given how many people have gotten the 11:00 AM time. I still haven't received a hard copy of my paper boarding documents. Have you gotten yours yet?

Have not. Those are available 20 days prior to sailing. So we have about a month before we can access those.

  5. We will be sailing on Meraviglia 7 day Oct.2nd in YC. First time in YC but have sailed in The Haven on NCL. Very low maintenance and never really utilized our Butlers on NCL. But reading some of the comments it seems they do just about anything. Love the not waiting in the long queues. morpheusofthesea, love your "Butler Power" comment. Have 2 more YC sailing's planed for next year, 1 on Meraviglia and 1 on Seashore. We will be utilizing our Butler more on this and future sailings I'm sure.

  6. Got my Upgrade Email today. We have a Yacht Club Interior,  I bid $900 (total) for a Yacht Club Balcony upgrade. Odds say Fair. If accepted it will be $1500 less than a normal booking. There are about 35 available balconies in YC for our sailing. Good deal. We will see.

My advice is to use your mobile phone when you call and tell the representative she/he is being recorded. Then you have an audio record of what was said. The rep, in short, was wrong. Also, at the risk of giving unsolicited advice, please consider getting a travel agent. These kinds of confusing conversations are EXACTLY why we have our travel agent take care of our reservations. I'd wager that the majority of people who have negative impressions of MSC pre-cruise are those who decided to "go it alone." The onboard experience on MSC is nothing short of wonderful, but the customer service issues beforehand can sour people (understandably).

I must agree. My agent shutters when I want to book MSC. He knows that whenever he contacts them it's hit or miss on the wait times and what knowledge or lack of he'll get on the other end. Besides, you can usually get some extra perks when booking with an agent. OBC comes to mind with mine, depending on the line. 72 more days and Yacht Club here I come.😀

We're October 16, and lots of rooms still available, YC1, and today one of the Royal Suites opened up as well. And when I say lots, as an example, on deck 16 where our room's located, there are only 2 others booked. Deck 18 only has 3 rooms booked. Unless these are all rooms that haven't been assigned yet after everyone's rooms went up for grabs a while back. Although that makes no sense, because I'm seeing these rooms available on another travel website. They're all available for booking.

Just had a thought. If everyone in YC is vaccinated during our week, wonder if they'd do a no mask required thing there?

I'm booked YIN October 2nd on Meraviglia. As of this post there are 33 YC1's available. 1 YIN available. 4 YC Duplex Suites available. Hopefully by sail date I'll get an upgrade or be able to bid at a reasonable price to upgrade. I'm also thinking that the protocols will be updated by October. Hopefully with minimal mask wearing.

  9. I've sailed in The Haven on NCL and it is crazy expensive for a single ( $8500 ). Similar sailings in the Yacht club are ridiculously less expensive. Have  3 upcoming YC sailings, 2 on Meraviglia and 1 on Seashore. All 3 are YC Inside Suites ( prefer an inside cabin ). Both Meraviglia are $2576 total for 1. Seashore (new ship so understandable) $3300 for 1. All sailings are 7 day out of Miami or Port Canaveral. These sailings will be my first YC experience with MSC. Sailed on the line before, just not YC. From what I've been seeing and hearing I won't be disappointed.

Has anyone noticed the language here? Could they be following Royal Caribbean and having a few venues for vaccinated guests only?

"Our bars will be open and ready to serve our guests with their favorite cocktail or aperitif. To ensure we comply with the current social distancing recommendations, our staff will deliver drinks at the table and we will limit the capacity of each venue. Face masks do not need to be worn by our guests when seated in bars and lounges for vaccinated guests. Not fully vaccinated guests must wear face masks."

I noticed that also. I'm thinking that, with 3 months till my sailing on Oct. 2nd, alot is going to change. Hoping that the mask wearing for vaccinated passengers will go away. Noticed you've sailed on Reflection a few times. Me too, love that ship.

  11. Is the email you get just random or is their some sort of process? I remember on NCL you could just bid on an upgrade without getting an email. Sailing on Meraviglia in October and booked in a YC Interior. Would love to bid on a YC Balcony. Their seem to be many available for my sailing.

  12. Wow! Just went in to check something for my Oct 2 2021 sailing and noticed the entire itinerary has changed. Went from San Juan, St Thomas, Nassau, Ocean Cay to Ocean Cay (9am-11pm), Nassau (11am-7pm), Oho Rios (9am-4pm), Ocean Cay (9am-6pm) 2 sea days. Would have been nice to get an email. Did want to visit some friends on St. Thomas. Oh well.

We can attest to every word of this posting (we were on the same cruise)!  It was so chaotic (it looked like both the Meraviglia and the ship behind were still disembarking passengers after 10:30 am so maybe it was an anomaly) we didn't even attempt the drop off; instead we parked in the garage and walked with our luggage (one suitcase each and a single carry-on) to the YC tent.

I usually travel solo and do this every time. So much easier than trying to get over to the right. I just stay to the left and park in the garage. I have 1 rolling garment bag a small duffel and my carry on. They all attach so a very easy trek to the tent.
