  1. You won't need multiple entrees. Portions are a nice size. My last 2 sailings I've eaten in the Steakhouse every night. Love the service and the menu. Got to know the chef's pretty well. My last sailing on Valor I was solo and met a nice couple from St Pete Fl. They allowed me to join them for the remaining 6 days. Come to find out they knew the chef. We never saw a menu. The chef sent out apps, entrees and deserts of his own design each night. Probably the best 6 meals I've ever had on a ship.

  2. Obvious that they don't want everyone showing up at the port all at once. Everyone will probably be given a boarding time to stretch out the embarkation process (they did that previously but nobody pays attention). I'll assume that the Diamond and Platinum folks will get first slots. If you show up early they won't let you into the terminal so don't be that person that thinks they're entitled. You might be but not till we get back to normal.

My plan in our March cruise is to have a copy of my confirmation note.  It says available, and no mention of available at a given price point.

Just booked Yacht Club on Seashore June 2022. I have the exact same info in my Confirmation notes.

− Unlimited beverage selection in MSC Yacht Club areas and in all bars and restaurants
of the ship according to the drink selections available in the different venues

NBD. We had facial recognition for Customs when disembarking... Seattle? It's all so long ago I've forgotten! I think it was Seattle. Super fast way to get through. And we already had it on the ship; when I lost my ship card all they needed was my cabin number because they had my photo.

Anyone squicked out by this must not own an iPhone with FaceID. I just hope NCL's system is better at recognizing bleary pre-coffee expressions.

Had the same in Miami disembarking Escape back in January 2020.

  5. I'll try and get an extension on my final payment, May 31st. My PVP, Danny has always done me right. Doing a B2B on Liberty Aug 9th and 13th. It's hard to cancel when you have $500 OBC (4 day) and $200 OBC (3 day)..lol... Back up is Key West 😀

  6. IMHO Carnival will require the CDC mandates just to get their ships sailing again and get some cash flow started. There are enough people out there that are vaccinated and want to cruise. Like other posters have said Carnival can just point to the CDC guidelines. Had 3 sailings cancelled already. Booked in August so I'm hoping that they start. Yes, I'm vaccinated.

  7. According to my contacts at Carnival in Miami the CDC will (most likely) require limited capacity. Now what that means is up to interpretation. My PVP is telling me the same thing. Looks like 50% capacity to start. I'm booked in August 2021. That's starting to look a little iffy right now, we'll see. I've already made my reservations in The Steakhouse each night so I don't have to deal with the MDR.

  8. As stated by JetsFan58, everyone's idea of what is "FUN" on a ship is up to the individual. Only issue I'll have with restrictions is if they limit my access to The Alchemy Bar..lol..I go on a cruise for the relaxation of a ship at sea. You'll usually find me on a top deck smoking a cigar and having a drink (in designated areas) just enjoying the ocean as it goes by. I look forward to diner in The Steakhouse every night. That's my "FUN".
