  1. I’ve got a step closer, but still not quite there. Looks like the page doesn’t fully open/load. I’ll give it another go after the store opens. See if that makes a difference.
  2. Beautiful. I’ll give it a whirl. Thanks
  3. Sorry, for the very specific ask... I’m trying to book a couple of pre-cruise tests (in Vancouver) and for the life of me can’t use the website to book them. the option doesn’t appear and/or I only seem get offered Ontario stores. Search facility shows the store on a map, but doesn’t let you select it. ive tried two computers, two browsers and a phone. None successfully. I’m trying to access from the UK. This shouldn’t make a difference (should it)?
  4. can anybody grab breakfast in Chops or is it for suite people? only cruised once and used windjammer for breakfast everyday; must have escaped us that we could use MDR (although our then 7yo was probably easier to cater for in the Windjmammer).
  5. Thanks all. was just making sure I wasn’t overlooking anything and/or being a bit dim. T-12 days from our vacation (cruise is just one part of a 3 week multi-city trip). As the planner, the self doubt is starting to kick in!!!
  6. Aside from paper copies of our vaccine and pre-cruise tests…. Do I need anything else? looks like i can add my sail pass to my phone wallet (so paper copy not strictly needed). What about case label(s)? Is that taken care of at check-in? thanks
  7. Doing this same ship/itinerary in a couple of weeks. Seeing your breakfast review (and some of the other reviews of other ships) has left me feeling slightly apprehensive about the food situation. crossing my fingers for your dinner reviews!
  8. taking this thread off at a tangent (seems like it’s run it’s course anyway). does the above mean i can drop my luggage off (check them in) ahead of my check in time? Do they do this at all locations/ships? im not due to board till 12:30, so I like the idea of dropping our suitcases off earlier and being able have a relaxing mooch, ahead of boarding time.
  9. There’s an option to download it as a PDF. I then screenshotted that (and uploaded).
  10. I’m a cruising novice (just awaiting our second cruise). But I think the two best snippets I picked up ahead of my first cruise: 1) take a multi-gang plug thing with you, that way you only need one adapter (if necessary) AND means you can charge phones and use a hair dryer etc at the same time. 2) depending on your room, might not be necessary, but we bought one of those multi pocket hanging things that you hang on the back of a door. That was really useful for extra storage in the bathroom.
  11. For lunch menus: I think if you flick through the days, some will have a lunch menu listed too (for my forthcoming trip… it doesn’t match the actual sea day though).
  12. Who are all these fame-thirsty scientists? Sounds like some sensationalist social media take? Can you name some? I reckon I might be able to name one (recognise 2) and purely because they were on the UK daily briefings, every day for about 12 weeks. I don’t believe everything I read, but nor do I ignore SMEs.
  13. I’ve currently got covid…. Nearly a week in. we travel in 17 days. is there a risk a lateral flow might still be positive (ergo, i should get a PCR done - so I can get a recovery very)?
  14. Am I deluded in hoping a) it’s ditched b) in time for our cruise in 17 days time.
  15. Yep, they validated my submission within a couple of hours. So they got what they wanted. One less thing to worry about.
  16. Maybe just covering their bases as they know some people won’t end up being able to board (failed tests)?
  17. different ship, different country; But I uploaded screen shots of my nhs app pdf. They got accepted.
  18. Isn’t simplicity the key to a good carpaccio? seems like a heck of a lot going on, on that plate.
  19. Cocktails are $13 Wine $8-$16 a glass Beer $7-8
  20. I presume the poster wants a general idea of price rather than an exhaustive list.
  21. Probably stopped a lot of people dying. Swings and roundabouts.
  22. People talk about ‘cards’ and I seem to think the check in process referred to taking a picture of our cards; I don’t have a ‘card’? I’m from the UK. We have an app for our Covid passes. We can download that as a PDF. Is that going to suffice (or do I need to do something to get a card)?
  23. Sorry, couldn’t find an appropriate place to ask. my daughter (10) is unvaccinated. She had covid in May. Current requirement is for a pre-cruise PCR for her. Seems to be some risk that PCR could still return a positive result (up to 19 weeks). Are there any steps I can take to mitigate this (any other testing/process to validate that it is an old infection)? we cruise early august in Vancouver (Alaskan cruise).
