  2. Thank you! That is what I figured. It is perfect weather here most of the time, but sometimes it can get warm around that time.
  3. Actually, I called the next day to cancel so it was within one day (Booked 31st and canceled on 1st). She said it was on hold for three but I made a decision before that date so I went ahead and canceled.

  5. Really??? We got $1! We have had three issues with Princess and have never even cruises with them yet! I’m thinking that if we can get booked on something before the end of the year this will be our first and last Princess cruise. They are so hard to reach and I actually lost money on the cruise that was canceled. We paid with points and they never gave back $150 in points. I tried for a couple of months and then let it go because I didn’t have time to be on the the phone for hours.
  6. No credits this morning… I know this is confusing. So our cruise that we were going to take (and still hope to) is within 90 days. It is within the final payment window. When I called to put it on hold the representative said that I can put it on a three day hold with no deposit needed. However, when she put it on hold apparently it changed it to a booking because I had credits. Because it was within he 90 day period when she immediately canceled, it took the money as a cancellation fee even though it was not supposed to be a booking. I will be calling this morning. I really hope this gets resolved so I can make the booking.
  7. Thanks. I will try to call back tomorrow. I was on hold for three hours waiting for customer service. I had to hang up at some point because I had things to do. We have never cruised with Princess but have had three bad experiences already. Hopefully the actually cruise will redeem them.
  8. I have been on hold for almost two hours. The first call was cut off after one hour. Now I am on hold for a second hour. I put a courtesy hold on a room for my husband and I yesterday. Today we realized it wouldn't work, so I called to cancel. I told them it was a courtesy hold. I called yesterday to put it on hold with an agent and was told there was not a problem. I called again to follow up yesterday because it took some of our credit and looked like a real booking. They told me again yesterday that this was a hold and I would immediately get all my money back if I had to cancel. I called today to cancel and they took $400 total out of our credits. I have been trying to straighten this out, but no luck so far. Any advice???
  9. I am hoping this happens for our November 26th cruise. We booked an interior. The price difference was not worth it to us but we are not looking forward to an interior.
  10. If it is anything like RCI’s Royal Up program, you bid on a category (ocean view, balcony, suite). They give you a starting bid and you can go up from there. We just did this on RCI a month ago and got an upgrade from an interior to a balcony for $150 per person (first two guests only) for a total of $300. I am guessing that Princess is structuring their upgrade process in a similar way.
  11. That would be amazing! I was able to hold a cabin for three days. I called and the problem was that the system was applying my credits and forced it to be a booking. I’m glad a have time to see what is in store tomorrow.
  12. Would it be for goodwill credits or FCC? I have heard that people have been able to get their FCC extended but not their goodwill credits.
  13. I have goodwill credits that I have to use before the end of the year. We would rather cruise in January but they will not extend them and it would make me physically ill to lose them. 🙂 The funny thing is that they gave us goodwill credits in the amount of our cruise ticket. My son was $1 because we booked him under that promo so he has $1 of goodwill credits. It kind of stinks since these credits were basically an "I'm sorry" for canceling your cruise one hour before departure. I would love to get the same price I paid originally! It was the first time that I ever wished I had overpaid for a cruise! lol
  14. We are in San Diego. I have done a courtesy hold in the past and it was held for three days but this one is only one day. Maybe because it is past final payment?
  15. I was just wondering if anyone has received a free upgrade recently since the new bidding policy goes into effect September 6th?
  16. I think that is what I will do. The card was supposed to be here today so hopefully it will come tomorrow. I looked at putting it on hold right now but it only holds it until tomorrow. I’ll check tomorrow. I am not adding any perks, just the base fare and a third person but they are not free.
  17. Thank you! I watched it. We usually have a balcony and it looks so small but we will deal. It will just force us to spend more time around the ship. It will be interesting for my son trying to take a shower at 6’2”. The lady in the video was “just under” 6’ and she looked like she was pretty close to the ceiling.
  18. So does this mean that there may be a price increase with the new promo? Looking to book but I am waiting for a new credit card to come in the mail. It’s a 2022 cruise that requires full payment at booking time.
  19. Thanks for the info. I saw those and wondered what they were like. I’ll check them out. I don’t mind where the door opens. It will just make our son get out of bed earlier. Lol. Are the third bed options over the queen bed? The rooms look so small that it is hard to visualize two more places to sleep in those cabins.
  20. What was the weather like? We live in San Diego and I know it can be warm or cool, but is it similar climates in these ports in Mexico?
  21. We sailed on symphony August 6. We answered the questions on the app and we were not asked anything else at port. Their process is very efficient. Basically they quickly look at your is/passport and negative COVID test (required at that time) and then usher you in. That was the only contact I actually had with a person besides the ones waving you on after scanning your sea pass card. Have fun! I’m so jealous. The best vacation we ever had! And we miss it so much. I’m looking to book again next year before she goes to Europe.
  22. Thank you for all the suggestions. I booked the seven day in an interior. I am hoping for a cheaper than $600 upgrade to a balcony.
  23. Yes I think that is what we will do. The more I think about it, I think it would be more fun. We are taking our 16 year old and this is his first Princess cruise. He is concerned that he will be bored being that he has only gone on oasis class Royal Caribbean ships. But there is food so I’m sure he will have a great time.
