  1. Inconvenience, just the opposite, we always are in town before cruises so we just stopped by got the test and drove back home with our groceries, no worries, by the time we got home they had already emailed us with result. Not a problem at all for us. And it was Walgreens. You do you. Oh, did I mention that was free! Our Emed tests were not! So they sit in the drawer a waste of $$. We done 2 cruises after Covid, no problem at all.
  2. Tracy's Crab Shack in Juneau, Michele's Island Wings float plane is spectacular in Ketchikan. We did Harv/Marv's also in Juneau Both Not to be missed if you can afford it. And I won't waste our time doing the glacier anywhere but Hubbard, Tracy Fjord is just not as good. We even did the private boat from and back to the ship up to the Sawyer but Hubbard is really spectacular.
  3. We bought them as insurance, but good ole Walgreens has never failed us! So they are sitting in a drawer, totally expired and useless as I speak. So easy to just drive through Walgreens go home wait an hour and we're done.
  4. OMG my daughter is scrambling right this minute to get a certificate of recovery for her teen son. Their flight to Germany is day after tomorrow and he was diagnosed last week! He feels fine right now. I hope they are able to go as planned. And their whole family was fully vxd
  5. I'd say you were unlucky. Both our September cruises were perfection.
  6. Bad News for Solstice. Houston woman is lost yesterday after falling overboard. Just after ya'll left apparently. So sad!
  7. September is a great month for Alaska cruising. Always warm as toast and smooth as glass seas. Except for the Glacier days which are always chilly! There people out on the boardwalk in Ketch in shorts/no shirt painting their shops and stuff. I would always pick that month to cruise north. On both no rocking hardly any waves at all anywhere.
  8. That is why we elected not to go...but I regret it. We missed Chihuly too, just couldn't make that happen in so little time. And now, I just won't go through Seattle because of the past two years of chaos. Just Vancouver for us thank you, marvelous city!
  9. Don't know if ya'll have come into Ketchikan yet, but if not, make sure you get up early or you might miss this: It was September and you can never predict Alaska weather, but if you snooze you lose! LOL
  10. JC I didn't know you were in Missouri! We are just a stone's throw from you here in Flippin Arkansas, hi neighbor!
  11. The best steak I ever had was right here off my Hubs smoker...reverse sear ribeye! Dang!!!!!!!
  12. It's really all relative John. I don't think the sides and desserts are any better than MDR. Which means I am paying for just the meat at $90. I think paying the $17 is way better even if the prep is different in Chops. But hey, to each their own. The other specialties may be worth the extra, but to us Chops...not so much. And Tyman, we did do lunch on Adventure last month, and it was substandard to all other times we've done it. That's what made us decide to skip Chops from now on.
  13. Glad to hear that but that was not what the Ambassador onboard told us several years ago on Liberty, I am sure of what he said because I complained bitterly about it as he explained in great detail....guess it's just a case of another misinformation with different employees. Glad to know she retains her Diamond status though.
  14. We'll be there on Odyssey in December, it's listed at $160.99pp right this minute. Nice try RCCL but no enchilada. I loved it, the food the service and no crowding, but that's all you get for that extra $. Just a lobster sandwich instead of a chicken sandwich and no crowds. When we were there without any extra dough, I didn't like 9 million people at the swim up in lagoon pool, but hey no sweat if they're gouging just to be gouging. I will not comply!
  15. But they lose that status when they start their own cruise point account at 21. At least that's what happened with our daughter. She was diamond plus with us, but when she turned 21 they started her her own points...no longer was she diamond plus! Read the bylaws in C&A
  16. You can't be serious. Allure in Sept last year we paid $58.99 pp for beach club day! And we will never pay over that either! We'll just sit our butts in the big pool and eat with the pe'ons!
