  1. Its awful...  I love the Magic and had an amazing time. But I prepaid for the most expensive package because I had to do some work a few days on the cruise.

Keep in mind... I've been on many Carnival cruises and I know how to adjust my expectations being that we are on a cruise. I know cruise ships wont be good as my home internet. But the wifi was barely usable. I will give Carnival credit. They gave me my money back and allowed me to continue to use whatever I could manage to use.

Carnival did sign a new deal with a new internet company and will upgrade the networks across the fleet.

  2. 1. Even though Havana cabins will allow 12 years and older... Most teens wont be in the Havana area because most teens are going to want to hang in the sports square, water park, gameroom, and camp areas and etc. They will not want to be in an area (in their eyes) full of old people. You may have the occasional teen here... Most people with kids wont even book Havana Cabins.

    2) There are other types of Havana Cabins if you are concerned with privacy of the Havana Cabana Cabins. You have of Havana Interior Cabins, Havana balconies and aft balcony cabins and etc.

  3. The sunshine has the best serenity areas. The Mardi gras looks like it will have a really nice serenity area looking at the deck plans. However we wont really know until the ship comes out. The Sunrise and Radiance serenity looks a little generic looking at the deck plans when compared to the Sunshine. But we wont know for sure of those until we see it also. I would suggest looking at the Havana Cabana Cabins on the Vista, Horizon, and Panorama also. Its not the serenity but it gives you what you get from the serenity but way more. Just note... Havana Cabana Cabins wont work for people with kids under 12.

its is the tiny pool right outside the havana bar.  Look for Pixels Gallery on 8 its right next to that.  I booked havanna because I loved it on vista now I have concerns.  Someone told me its not going to be private in the day??? Is that true... also where are the hotubs, only that tiny pool?

I thought that was a hot tub. It looks really tiny and the outdoor space looks really small.

  5. I was trying to find out where the havana outdoor pool area is going to be... I see tha havana bar and havana cabana cabins but I dont see the out door area like on the Vista class ships. Is it going to be the one pool all the way in the back on deck 8? It seems out of place to and too far to be the havana pool area.

  6. If you compare the Allure to the Elation then you will be disappointed. I sailed on the Elation two years ago and I had a great time. The  crew was very nice and worked extra hard to make up for the ships shortcomings. I would sail her again,  however I dont know if I would recommend the Elation for other cruisers. I know how to adjust my expectations between newer ships with all the bells and whistles to older ships like the Elation. But many people dont know how to adjust those expectations and will be disappointed.

  7. If it's not showing up then it's either sold out or not available on your sailing. Sometimes they will open it back up depending on cancellations and etc. You really have to check everyday to find out. Join a Facebook group for your cruise. They sometimes will post when its available.

  8. I usually tip but why would I tip when you are paying for the item and a fee for it to be delivered. The delivery fee should be used to pay the employee that deliver the item. So I'm supposed to pay for their over priced items, delivery fee and tip the person? That's ridiculous!

Please, if possible circulate pictures to other passengers electronically.  One reason folks are not using his name on social media etc is due to concern for the other residents both here in Georgia and there on the cruise.

In other words, they may not all realize what is going on so we don't want to upset folks.  But at this point finding him is the most important thing.

Yes... I will do as much as I can on my end.

We are concerned friends of the foundation where he lives here in GA.  There are a lot of very worried and concerned people here.  Worried for the entire group and what they are going through.

That's understandable. I asked because I wanted to be respectful and didnt want to share or post unless it was ok with the family or organization.

  11. Also, the Yucatan dogs left with the Yucatan Police. Today we were in Cozumel and I did not notice any attempt to search for the passenger. Unless they did it while we were in port but I was only in port for an hour since it was rainy and windy in Cozumel. So I doubt they could have searched the whole ship within that time.

Tomorrow we will have our last sea day before we will be back in Port Mobile. I'm sure the US coast guard is going to do their own search when we get back to the states.

    Passengers onboard Carnival Fantasy,

Have you heard any updates today? Thank you.

The passenger is still missing. You get the sense that everyone has given up hope since it's been 2 days since he went missing. They have his picture all over the ship. The Yucatan Police brought dogs to see if they could track his scent but they were unsuccessful. It's sad. The guy was 22 years old and autistic. There are some rumors going around but I dont feel comfortable since I'm not sure if they are true. I only want to post what I know for sure. The ship hasn't made anymore announcements. To be honest... there really isnt much they can announce to us unless they were to miraculously find him somewhere.

  13. We were on the Magic this past 4th of July 2018 and it was awesome. It's one of the better ships. Lots of eating venues. I didnt get a chance to go everywhere because it was so many places to eat. Excellent if you are taking kids. Lots of activities and entertainment for adults.

  14. It really depends on you... Everyone is going to have different opinions. Some people love fantasy class ships like the Elation and despise the mega ships. Some people like all the bells in whistles.

Unfortunately for you.. You decided to take your 1st cruise on one of the biggest ships. So any ship afterwards may seem underwhelming. Sometimes is good to work your way up and that will give you something to look forward to.

Me personally... I would enjoy any of Carnival or RCL ships. I've been on Elation and had a great time. I been on larger and newer ships and also had a great time. I going on the Fantasy next month and I'm sure I will have a great time because I adjusted my expectations, know what to expect, going to relax and enjoy new adventures and etc. But that's just me. I know people who have gotten used to Carnivals newer ships and would not enjoy the Elation.
