  1. I was on the Magic with 22 people and I think it's worth the money. We were able to keep in touch with each other. It's not perfect and can be glitchy. Messages can be lost but most of the time it worked as expected. You can also create group chats and message multiple people at once. It's a good way to meet up with each other

To add someone they must pay the $5 chat fee and then you can just type their name in the search. Then you can add that person as a friend.

You can chat with anyone on the ship as long as they have the app and paid the fee. I even set it up where my messages would come through my smart watch.

  2. They will give you a slice of cake and sing happy birthday if you let the mdr servers know....

my aunt celebrated her 50th birthday and I purchased her the birthday package at the funshop online. It included a 9" birthday cake, birthday decorations and a gift bag. It cost $54 plus a $8 setup/delivery fee. You can get the cake by itself for $14. The room decorations and gift bag was $40 by itself. They were able to get about 15-20 slices out of the cake... I think theres a smaller and cheaper cake available if you dont have many people in your group.

You can have them to deliver the cake to their cabin or the mdr. The servers will deliver it towards the end of dinner.

  3. Great question. I have my first premier Cruise booked Dec... I wanted to know if our cabins will be available once we board like on Faster to the Fun? Also, will we have access to the priority lines at guest services. I'm trying to see if it's worth it to pay for faster to the fun.

  4. It really depends on the room and ship. Some may have 2 twins (convert to King), a pull man that sleeps 1 and a sofa bed that sleeps 1 (it will sleep 2 if they are small/med children and you wont have to use the pullman)

You can find this info as you book online. When you select your room, it will tell you if the room have a sofa bed or 2 Pullmans.

Also, if you download the ships deckplan it will tell you the room types in the ledger of the deck plan.

  5. I was on the Magic in July and I dont know who was back there making the deserts but it was an improvement from the desert I had in the past on Carnival. The cheese cake and chocolate cakes were amazing.

I will say that they also make sugar free cake so make sure you read the labels.

  6. There are perks for group cruises on most carnival sailings. You need atleast 8 cabins in your group. Keyword is cabins... they dont care about the number of people as long as you have 8 cabins or more...

Your group may get amenity points depending on the sailing. You can purchase additional points if you want. You can use those amenity points to purchase things like extra on board credit, wine, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, bath robes/slippers, shared cocktail parties, private cocktail parties and etc.

Also the group leader gets credit if you have 8 cabins. I was the group leader in my group and I used the credit to get money off my booking.... I took the money I would have used for my booking and I purchased more amenity points so that I can order more things for the group. Also I ordered things from the fun shop for the group with the extra money I had.

Just call Carnival group department for more information. A good agent will explain everything to you... The only thing I will add is being the group leader is extra work. You will be the middle man or woman between Carnival and the people in your group.

  7. We have 5 cabins booked on Vista for a 50th anniversary. I'm trying to shop now for cabin decorations for the happy couple. When I added it to my cart, it didn't ask for their room # or name. I don't want it for my room, but I want to purchase and pay for it. When I bought the drink plan for my son in another cabin I had no problem entering his booking # and picking his name from the drop down menu so I was surprised the online shopping didn't confirm which room I wanted decor for (seems like this would be a commonly purchased for someone else). I was hoping they would put up the decor so it would be there when they walk in their room. If it gets delivered to my room, then I have to make time to go to their room and decorate and it ruins the surprise of it. Please help with how I can accomplish this, its sitting in my cart but I've not yet paid for it.
it should give you an option to gift it towards the end of the order process. Also, you can always call Carnivals Funshop and they can place the order for....1-800-522-7648
  8. Thanks for the review... My mom and dad recieved a pretty good casino offer for a 5 day cruise on the fantasy in December. Their cabin was $600. They will recieve free drinks, $150 in casino cash, and priority boarding.

I decided to go with them but was a little concerned with the age of the ship and I've been spoiled with all the bells and whistles of the newer Carnival ships. Also, we have 2 more cruises booked but one is a year away and the other is 1.5 years away. So this will be a good and inexpensive trip to hold us over. Also I never been on a cruise in the Winter. I've heard that the temperatures in the Caribean is perfect in the Winter. It's not too hot and it's not cold. I heard that the highs are around 80 degrees. I think I will enjoy the beach more compared to in the summer when the highs are in the mid to upper 90's.

  9. This is a very subjective question. We choose early dinning every cruise, because we feel late seating is too late. As for which is better I do not believe there is one as far as ship schedules go. For instants, the big production shows they have are done twice a night an early show (for late dinners), and a late show (for early dinners). As for missing things because of your dinning preference your going to miss something no matter which one you choose. So its all about personal preference which is why the question is subjective. YTD well we hate waiting.

I was on the magic a couple months ago and the early big production show started around 7:30pm to 8 pm with each show lasting 45 mins to an hour. That definitely wont work for late dinning since late dinning is 8:00 pm.

  10. I prefer early dinning... Only because I can make it to the 8 o'clock events or shows. It's hard to make it to any events when you do the late dinning. You will be finishing dinner around 10. Carnival has been down sizing their lounges and venues to make more room for more cabins. So it makes it difficult to even get to the 10 or 10:30 shows/events because it gets packed fast.

  11. I booked the Christmas cruise 2019 on the Sunrise. I'm excited and have my reservations about this update. I'm having a hard time seeing where they are putting 200 million in this update based off the plans. But like someone else said we should wait until they are complete before making judgement. I do wish it was a little more like the Sunshine. The serenity deck on the sunshine is probably the best serenity on any Carnival ship. Also I'm going to miss the havana bar. But nevertheless I'm going to enjoy myself regardless.

  12. I get bottomless bubbles. I tell them to give me a full can and a glass of ice. They've never told me no.

Also you can ask them if they have a can that's already cold. They usually have plain coca cola already chilled. These guys are here to try to make your vacation as pleasurable as possible. Dont be afraid to ask aslong as it's with in reason.

Anyway.. Like I said they always give me full cans.
