Did they happen to add bedside electrical/usb ? Thanks
They didn't in our cabin on deck 7. They added a lamp with a USB port. We brought a multi outlet adapter as there is only one outlet by the desk. That gave us a couuple extra outlets and USB ports.

I took the HAL bus last year after finishing this itinerary. They dropped me off at a special "far from everyone but Delta" spot, which likely is mandated by the airport. I decided if I ever cruise out of Seattle again, I would just take a cab.
Good choice. :) We had a couple on our Roll Call that we shared a Town Car with. That worked out reall well.

What transportation did people use getting off ship to airport
We stayed in Seattle for a couple days, but taxis to the airport from the ship are $40.

probably asked this before but we really like playing cards. Where should we look for a place on the ship?
The library is a good spot and a lot of people were playing cards up by the Lido Pool as well as the Ocean Bar.

I'm starting to pack for our July 2 cruise on the Zaandam and have a question.
What is the temperature like on the ship, particularly in the dining room and theater?
We went to a presentation in the lower part of the theater and it was a bit chilly. Otherwise everything was quite comfortable.

Packer, we agree on this. That was my point, that all the really good customer service was being tainted by one person that was degrading the good of the majority. She is the weak link.
I can understand the frustration of bad customer service. It might be a specific person on customer service too. Just like, not everyone is going to have a terrific cabin steward.
-
I, too, agree with the concerns about Guest Services/Customer Service issues at the front desk. Having just disembarked, I found fantastic staff members, good staff members and one that did not need to be representing HAL to the customers. I learned to pass by when she was working and return for the great one,s who knew how to work with, and discuss, matters. This made the experience much nicer.
We have been on cruises where Customer Service was a big negative, but not Zaandam. We had several interactions with them and they were very good.

Look under one of my post with the SIGNature links and it's there (I sometimes managed to hide/block it to make it easier for folks to stroll thru a dozen pages/screens ... my habit for posting "details")
Here it is - directly - starting w. Dailies from Day #1 ...
https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2558888&page=14
Somewhere in there, also "generalized" disembarkation info for NYC, which is often "true" for NCL ships docking for turnaround, timing & arrivals/sailaway schedules do vary ...
The often crowded forward lobby is used for a variety of functions, mini-shows/presentations & even afternoon movies ... finding chairs can be difficult (not sure what the changes are since dry-docking recently) ... we sometimes find seats by the iCafe, starboard side.
Thanks for this! We are doing a 10 day W. Caribbean in Feb. I know the activities will be different, but it will give me a good idea of where the activities are.

We just got back from a 2 week Alaska cruise. 2 days of sunshine the whole time.
Mostly I am just tagging this so I can go back and read the whole thing. :)

So it is the same show every night in the theater?
-
Yes you book at the Spiegel Tent. The same place the Cirque show is held. When I did the escape tent no one solved it at all. It's very tough!
Where is the Spiegel Tent? I do not see it listed anywhere.

Maybe when the folks from this week's sailing get back, they can do it. Those that returned last week or week before had promised too ... but, it's a lot of work post-cruise to find time. I know and I've done that in past sailings, LOL.
Easiest is to upload them, live or almost live - it's a pain to first scan them, upload & then post or put them on a shared cloud drive. I see that you are sailing the BA the week after us ... if and when it's our turn to sail; and, nobody else had yet to upload & post them here - I will do my best to share (via Tapatalk or Forum app with my newest Google Nexus Camera NX app)
Is there anything in particular that you (or others) are looking for - or, just general show times, dining options & time, etc. ??
I was looking for your Almost live thread, but haven't found it yet. Could you post a link? I basically want to know what bars and lounges have entertainment and what type. For example I know that Fat Cats has Jazz.
Thank you to the OP for this thread and to medic for the posting!

We have been to Seattle quite a few times and have never been to the Aquarium.
Great pictures. Love the sea otters.
Not as nice as the one in LA but very worth while. Otters are awesome!
-
No entertainment there, but it is usually over the atrium where all the games shows and special activities are held so you can hang over the rail and watch from there on the new big ships
That is too bad. Guess I will have to research all the bars and try to figure out which ones might have entertainment. I know that Fat Cats has Jazz and karaoke.

osheehans on the jewel had mozzarella sticks. seems to vary from ship to ship.
I didn't realize O'Sheehan's had that extensive of a menu. Thought it was a basic bar and grill. We haven't been on NCL since it was called Red Lion. Do they still have entertainment there too?

On board images of the Ms Zaandam have now been posted to:

The link includes three categories of staterooms on Deck 6.
Boy are you organized. Thanks Roger!

Great pictures.
Thanks! You must have a whole bank vault full of pictures.

The opportunity to take those eagle pictures would have made every penny I paid for the cruise worthwhile.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you. Lynette took those. All I had was my Smart Phone camera. I will not make that mistake again!

Beautiful photos, thank you! I am a big Chihuly fan. Want to visit after disembarkation (have an evening flight). How much time should I plan there?
You could do that in about an hour or less. It isn't that big, just amazing. :)

Not sure they will let you. They even unplugged our adapter a few times. Can you get a battery operated one?
