  1. Recently sailed on the Adventure. Boleros is small but they had an amazing Latin band playing there. Sorry I don't remember their name. I don't speak Spanish so I didn't understand the songs but still enjoyed listening to them because they were that good.
  2. We were on the Adventure a week ago and they were showing baseball games in the Schooner Bar.
  3. We were on the Mariner pre-pandemic and on Halloween they had a parade on the promenade. It was amazing to see some of the extravagant costumes all the passengers had. I kept wondering how they packed them...especially if they were flying. It was so much fun to watch.
  4. I'm wondering...leaving on Thursday on the Adventure for New England and Canada. We don't get to Canada until October 4th...will we still have to have a negative Covid test since the cruise leaves before the October 1st date?
  5. We were on Oasis the end of August and were directed to park in the street level lot which we were actually hoping for. There were a lot of us and it was definitely easier. We did not pay as we entered. We were given a ticket and paid when we got off the ship. Leaving this Thursday on the Adventure (pending a negative Covid test) and are hoping again to be able to park in that lot and not the garage.
  6. I believe the large balcony room is just a smaller room and a larger balcony.
  7. I am curious about Sorrentos on the Adventure. When I look at the app and also the deck plans on the RCCL website, I don't see Sorrentos. But on their website when I look at things to do on the Adventure, it is showing Sorrentos listed with all of the food choices. Anybody have any information on this? I don't think I've been on one of RCCL's ships that didn't have a Sorrentos...its out go to place for lunch on embarkation day.
  8. When on your next cruise, go to the Crown & Anchor and talk to them. Our first cruises we only got 1 point per cruise whether it was for 3 nights or more. When that changed, I spoke to them and they told me the credited us with the extra points. I have to take their word for it.
  9. I was on this same cruise. We had 5:30 dining and our food, waiter and assistant waiter were all great. Had breakfast once in the Solarium Bistro and it was pleasantly easy to find a table since not too many people were in there. While we were eating lots of people started coming in. Found out that Windjammer was so crowded they were sending people to the Bistro. Glad we go there when we did. We did the Windjammer twice for breakfast...both on sea days which I think makes a difference. We had no problem finding a table for 10. I was disappointed that there was no omelet station...I had read beforehand on CC that was the case. I'm not a fan of the scrambled eggs that are put out and would definitely prefer the omelet station. We were actually very happy that the garage was full. So much easier to get out when parked street level.
  10. I was just on the Oasis and they had the 70s disco night so that day they were saying 70s attire. Would be nice if they let us know before we are on the ship. lol
  11. I was just on Oasis and we got the standard cup.
  12. In April on the Anthem it was $20. Port days were free and sea days were not.
  13. Does anyone know if I can reserve a cabin for myself and a separate cabin for my daughter and her fiance at the Next Cruise desk if they aren't on the ship with me? I would like to be able to take advantage of the $100 deposit instead of $250. I will be cruising the end of September and would love if I can do this. Thanks for any information.
  14. A few years ago I was on the Symphony and got the Guac for lunch but there weren't any chips. So I took a couple of taco shells and broke them to make my own chips.
  15. I'm on the Oasis the end of August and was on the Anthem in April (same itinerary). Not a fan of Nassau but we have enjoyed getting off the ship and walking down to Senor Frogs. Best to get there around noon. So entertaining!
  16. I am vaccinated and boosted but actually I don't understand how me being vaccinated matters. That is to protect me it doesn't protect others. I could still carry and spread.
  17. We always go to Sorrentos for lunch no matter which ship we are on and always find it to not be crowded.
  18. That's the time you can arrive at the pier not the time you can get into your cabin.
  19. How is beer served at the bars on Oasis? Is it in cans? Bottles? I'm asking for a friend who will be on a cruise with us in a couple of weeks. I'm not a beer drinker so I didn't know the answer to this question. Not sure why they want to know but I told them I would ask the experts here!
  20. Thanks! I have short, think hair but I still hate those small low power hair dryers. I usually bring my own and maybe I will do that this time too just to play it safe. Thanks everybody!
  21. Sailing on the Oasis in a few weeks and I was wondering what type of hair dryer is in the cabin? Is it a full sized one and where is it located? I've been on the Oasis before but its been a while and I can't remember. Just trying to decide if I need to bring my own or use the one that's in the cabin. TYIA
  22. Do you tell them the day of the birthday or before? I am traveling with friends and one of them is having a birthday on day 5 of our 7 night cruise. I would like to surprise her with the dessert and the happy birthday singing.
