Our first cruise was on the Freedom and that class is my favorite. I don't put much stock in reviews because they are so mixed. One person says the service is great, the next says the service is terrible!

Anyone happen to have photos/video of this cabin. Especially interested in the balcony

I am a big fan of booking as early as possible.

Do you know how to write a post without being rude?

Changes, nothing has changed! Again, this a thread about supposed changes that haven’t happened. It is a thread about things that people want to happen, mostly out of spite.
Good grief.
How long ago did the Suite Lounge come into existence, that and 3 free drinks anywhere are the only changes and those are hardly new. One affects D+ people only, and they still have a lounge and now they have 3 free drinks. The Diamonds gained 3 free drinks anywhere, and on many ships can use them at dinner. This never was the case before. So, the D+ lost something relatively benign, made a couple of significant gains, and it becomes a never ending whine fest. Then the P haters show up just to stir the pot.
Good grief, get a grip.

Please reread (or read) my post. I said changes being discussed.

3 free drinks on their cards for Diamonds.
As opposed to the existing no limit in the lounge? And availability of specialty coffee? How is that fair?

Just that its interesting how much "attention" this thread is getting...
I am sure RCI is noticing also.

Was given a free interior cabin on the Rhaposdy of The Seas (Urcomped)
My cabin is Deck 8, Cabin 8051,trying to figure out whats above it.
Trying to see if it will be noisy .
Thanks
It is under the solarium pool so there is the possibility of some sound from above.

There are later flights. We are staying in Sydney a couple of days then taking a 9:30 PM Hawaiian Airlines flight.

If you want to switch to a TA it must be done within a specific time from when you booked, I think 60 days. Other than that, I recommend booking as early as possible and keep watching to see if the price drops. If it does call Royal, or your travel agent. If you switch to a TA you will have to work through them.

Caribbean, Bermuda and Mediterranean with Celebrity.....
We booked a 10 day itinerary.....outdoor balcony MIDSHIP on Celebrity Equinox back in January to sail in September 2019....ABC islands , Grand Cayman and Key West.....for 3 adults.....paid $2,600..... INCLUDED Classic unlimited drink package for 2....all alcoholic drinks etc, $300 OBC, and Gratuities for 2!!
I often look at RC but then HATE that every little thing is an extra cost!!!!!! We like OUTDOOR balconies....not interested in hanging out on a boardwalk balcony to people watch....we'd rather look at and smell the ocean!!! Lol
Celebrity food and service is outstanding!!! We are 40 fyi...
You did well! I just checked that cruise and could not come close to that price! Congtats!
-
Where do you generally cruise? I have looked at Celebrity for the Caribbean and thought their balconies were higher priced than Royal. I may have to look again!

A kettle, extra pillows.
Kettle = coffee maker? That would be great!

From a pure business standpoint (not my wallet's), I find what Royal is doing here to be a sound business practice.
Raise the price in the beginning to capture additional dollars from the customers who absolutely must have a specific cabin and sailing. Then over time gradually reduce the price to where the rest of the ship starts to fill up.
The complication with the above is that you risk alienating the "must go/must have" customers and they just wait it out like the normally population.
Overall, cruising to me is just another a vacation option. I don't own it our maintain it.... It's there for my choosing if I want to use it. If the value proposition ever shifted to where it didn't make sense to me and my family any more... we'll move on. Just like we did from Disney World a few years ago. Some people however don't have this same viewpoint and will continue to spend their $$ cruising (rightfully so).
Cruises regularly go down in pricing as sail date approaches. That is not uncommon. The price increase this year seems to be uncommonly high.

Not sure who "he" is, Travel Agent? Was the total amount different than what you expected?
-
Regardless of where your cabin is located you have no control of who is next door.
-
The ships always fill up. Supply and demand!

We were in that stateroom back in 2016, and the balcony is huge and private at the wrap around. If you have any issues with noise, you will definitely hear music from Shall We Dance just below you, late at night. Other than that, great stateroom.
Is the noise an issue even with the balcony door closed?
Even if it is, we're still very much looking forward to this cabin!

I'm sure you will still enjoy it. It's better than staying home, right?

We only travel with carry on, and like to get unpacked and settled in asap so we set with luggage and enjoy a snack while people watching & waiting for cabin to become available.
