Our first cruise was on Celebrity back in 2000. We loved the activities and entertainment, but my husband wasn't a fan of the main dining room fare and we both dislike buffets. Did some cruises with Crystal (pre-bankruptcy) and he liked the food and service much more, but we both agreed the activity level was a little too low-key for us. Have sailed with Windstar (too few dining options), Princess (too mass market and so-so food), Azamara (great itineraries but too few activities and dining venues), and I've done Royal Caribbean (but he hasn't).
Overall, we have yet to find the perfect cruise line for us. Oceania has our business right now for the itineraries and food, and we suck it up about the lack of strong entertainment in the evening--we fell like the whole ship is in bed by 10pm.
We are guilty of being in bed by 9 and missing most shows on any cruise we go on. And we are 56 and 49. Sigh, we are part of the problem. 😸

Oh, I so wish. In my dreams I see myself as some sort of "spook". Sounds much more glamourous than being part of the admin team at a local probation office. I do have an e-pal who did work for the spooks though before he retired - at GCHQ at Cheltenham.
US MI were odd ducks when I was in charge of a company for a while

We booked the Melanesian Marvels Bali to Sydney 21 day cruise. Other than Sydney, it goes to all new ports for me. I’m always looking for new and interesting places to visit. This cruise has them.
Looks great!

So did you get stuck on that tour with the couple that were end time preppers that spent most of the tour telling you about their Subaru Outback that is the best car ever made? I thought I was the only one subjected to them.
I would totally harangue them about the need for a fully mechanical diesel vehicle rather than reliance on gasoline supply chain. Sort of a prepper trump card.
I don't have one by the way, but guarantee they'll start thinking more about the hole in their plan and be quieter. 😄

Wouldn't want to come back...

Any concept pictures out?

Merino wool and good rain gear! Hat and gloves are a must.

Well, if you can't afford Birkenstocks...😁
Sadly, I'm one of the ones who doesn't wear the tie in the meetings 😁

Got deployed to Africa and infrastructure is...dicey at best. Be very careful with counting on smooth travels. Might do a safari (photo) in Tanzania or Kenya someday, but otherwise no way am I paying to go back. Will likely cancel ATW if we have to go the long way around rather than the suez.

Maybe in Olympia. You mean that you would actually wear those on city streets???? 🙂 (I had to look up Keens and Clarks.) Clarks look fine for everything except the GDR and the specialty restaurants. My husband brings out his oxblood Weejun tassel loafers for the dressier occasions.
Actually live in Olympia😆, you got it! The Clarks are actually fairly nice dress shoes, but maybe they are doing sandals now? Out here the boss or head of a meeting wears a tie and if you wear one people ask you what you are interviewing for.

Thinking about possibly hanging shelves for our 2/3 version of your cruise. We are thinking the idea of being prepped for two two week cycles of clothes, with less, but some cold gear. Our Portion should not have too much cold weather, but no way I'm leaving the merino base layers at home.
-
But they are a standard out here in the PNW! Also the Keens cover the toes, with most of the upper as leather. The socks ARE a joke, though.
At the worst my dress shoes will be sad and lonely after retirement and would want to get out too😆. Guess I can bring the Clarks along

So, clean Keens in good repair (maybe with socks?)

Oceania vista 2026 ATW can't wait to get back

Hmm, we went there after the river, I am not sure. We liked it so much there that the Admiral wanted to look into buying a place and I have no objections

These were pre arranged boat tours but I think there were some tours available under the shelter

I did the drift snorkel and loved it. Top notch. Then a ride up the river on a longboat which went to the public motu. Either was great, fully recommend

We had a scooter in the hall on the Bliss last week. And no pack of rats absconded with my magnet

We would not choose prima for that itinerary again. Sunny climate and discounted, maaaaybe
