The (wifi?) system couldn't handle the load during an electrical storm.

We left Port Canaveral during a thunderstorm. Early dining in MDR. Fortunately, we were one of the first to ask for a paper menu. 2,000 phones trying to access the QR code at the same time, during a thunderstorm, wasn't happening.

We were in Bermuda overnight noon to noon on a transatlantic cruise earlier this year. We visited Hamilton the first day, then hung around the dock yards the next morning. If I were there three days, I would go to St George the middle day. Imagine a fish hook with the dock yards at the curved, pointy end; Hamilton in the middle; and St George at the opposite end. I did not know before the visit that Bermuda (the country) has several islands, with Bermuda (the island that contains Hamilton) being the most populous. Often on the ride there, you see water out both sides of the bus. Beautiful trip. The busses run frequently.

Ship docks at the Royal Naval Yard. The old fort has shops. You can buy a roundtrip ticket there. Take the bus to Hamilton and the ferry back or vice versa.

Guy's Pig and Anchor (BBQ, outside, free, sea days, lunch) was added recently. I don't know which ships have it. We had it in 2023, but not before. We will make sure we hit it once a cruise. Please elaborate on Ocean Cay food as we are going there next cruise. At Carnival's Half Moon Cay, there's a free BBQ. The MSC notes on Ocean Cay mention several restaurants. Are they all free? Or only some?

Unless you're Daddy Warbucks, you don't want to go to Disney World for a short time. Instead, you want to go to Disney Springs. That area has free parking (unlike the amusement parks) and no admission charge (unlike the amusement parks). Disney Springs is a shopping/eating area. Think of it as a large outdoor mall. Many of the shops are Disney-themed, but not all. It's a great place to walk around, people watch, etc.

And yet the ships are full.

We were on Divina last month. There was confusion about Manhattan vs Brooklyn for weeks. The captain cleared it up the night before we docked. Apparently, it's how they work.

Agree that Native Choice in Costa Maya provides great excursions at a reasonable price.

www.bahn.de/en provides train routes in Germany in English. If you know the addresses, you can enter those and door-to-door directions. This site is good for all of Europe, so you could see Copenhagen to Kiel or Hamburg to Kiel.

It's a cold time to visit Alaska. In Seward, the Kenai Fjord National Park excursion on a small ship is my favorite. We saw dozens of orcas plus larger whales.

We used regular mail, no rush, this year, and it took six weeks. Whatever the delay was must be over.

Several years ago with HAL, we took one that went north of town to a cable car up a mountain and that stopped at an artist village before getting us to the airport in plenty of time for the redeye.

TA means Transatlantic. Leave from Florida, arrive in Spain, stay a while, fly back to Florida.

DW and I take several medications. We plan to stay in Spain for a while after the cruise. What do you do with medications? I figure to bring 4-weeks, just in case. What do EU and Spanish require? Bringing original pill bottles doesn't make sense. Do you need copies of prescriptions? Photos of bottles? Is reentry to US an issue?

So, we'll need dollars in the beginning and euros at the end. Does the ship's ATM accommodate that?

MSC has overnight stays in New York City, Bermuda, Lisbon, and elsewhere. What are the rules for that night?

Costa Maya cruise terminal can get crowded when the big ships are in town. Mahahual is a $4 cab ride and uncrowded. We've been to Chacchoben from there also. I feel Belize City requires a tour. We've been to Altun Ha and Lamanai from there.

That was my experience in April. One station was open on Lido early. Crew is working to clean up from the night before and get ready for continental breakfast.

Your body will adjust to the time change. Summer days are looong in Alaska, compared to NM.

There are ok excursions out of Freeport, but the cruise area itself is not worth getting of the ship. If you walk a little uphill in Nassau, you can see historic area and avoid the aggressive sales. Recommend the hop-on, hope off in Key West. Stop where you're interested.
