  1. Yes, daily gratuities included (room, dining, drinks, all items in the package). I believe that spa and hairdresser / barber gratuities are not included

  2. I wish I could say that I've automatically gotten a refund. I never have and usually call for one after a week. So I did a 'test' on a smallish refund due. Refared a flight which left a credit. Waited 10 days & chat said credit was bring processed. Waited another 10 - 20 - 30 days. 40+ days after the website said I was due a refund I called my CVP. She 'flipped' something (her word not mine) and said I'd get it the next day. I asked when it would 'flip' on its own and her response was by the time I got on or off the ship. And yes, my bank app showed a pending credit the next day.

Yeah, I'll continue to refare  EZAIR when beneficial (lowest economy flight on EZAIR isn't always the lowest once I upgrade to Economy Plus) but I will definitely contact my CVP or 1800Princess to get the refund.

  3. JMHO : totally worth it on a longer voyage. And especially on the new Sun Princess! I discovered the buffet on my last voyage (thanks to Runmotor) because I could make my salad exactly how I wanted it. Greek with tomatoes. But on the Sun Princess there's an issue with buffet seating, serving lines, & wait time for a chair. So I'll order chef salad & greek salad putting what I want on 2nd salad. Plus key lime dessert. Anticipate a long wait as others figure out the workaround to waiting for lines.

Will most likely get it in 2+ weeks too. $15/22 days = 68c a day. Another no brainer

Does anyone have a current Ocean Now Menu??

  4. Airlines that let me select a seat and stay flexible:

    AA, UAL, Delta, Alaska

Airlines that let me upgrade from Economy to Preferred Economy:

    UAL, Delta, Alaska

AA let's me upgrade but, in that it's at consolidator pricing, the fee was enormous! (Flight SFO -> Sydney / Narita -> SFO: UAL = $229, AA = $1470. RT ticket was $1480 on both)

.... We just "missed" the second flight.

Airlines are tagging those who do skiplagging with several banning those who do it and a few canceled return flights. In that Redding is your home airport you'd get home but here's hoping you're not flagged for it

  6. @Strauss1020 IMHO you've dug yourself a hole that you cannot climb out of. And now dig deeper. You won't have any difficulty discerning the differences between a Grand Class and a Royal Class ship should you ever visit them. Now if you'd said between Crown and Grand Class,  I'd agree.

Once you stop letting YouTube form your opinions and rely more on real life, you might find that real life is kinda nice, whether it's cruising, land based trips, or simply the Philharmonic.  Just keep a positive attitude / life is too short for anything else

You fly out from Narita or Haneda ? Keikyu bus only operates between Yokohama and Haneda . https://www.keikyu-bus.co.jp/en/airport/h-yamashita/
Here is the timetable from Yokohama Chinatown, frequency is every 30 min , schedule not as good from YCAT terminal.

I changed my flight & now fly out of Haneda at 10:55 pm. So I've plenty of time. If Keikyu bus is full I will take the train. Planning on getting to the airport around 6pm, have dinner, walk around a bit outside. Maybe drop into that hanger with the airplane museum. Hope 3 hrs is enough time to check in and go thru security.

Why is it that when I simply express that wordless, plotless variety shows are silly, people take it very personally (I'm not referring to you Thrak), however some have seen what I've said as a personal affront. Are they truly that insecure?

1st: welcome to Cruise Critic. I notice that you've only posted on this thread and I'm fairly certain that you can find a line that has full productions. But not at this price point.

For THE LAST TIME: not all Princess shows are plotless despite how YouTube presents them. There's a variety (music, comedy, skits with a plot -- see my 1st response, magic -- yes it is there for those interested, and someone with a buskers background [like the Mighty Quinn]). It's just that you haven't cruised with Princess so don't really know and some cannot understand that the Secret Silk (a story about a magic swan trading her feathers to benefit a man who saved her from the stew pot) or 5 Skies (a story about a video gamer progressing thru the game to free the princess) or Spotlight Bar (what happens in an ordinary bar as patrons go thru break ups / make ups / stood ups / and closing up aka: Central Perk / Cheers).

But if you expect a full musical in 35-45 minutes with a program handed to you upon entering the theater then this is not the cruise line for you.

What do you think it means by ‘EZ Air is fully protected’? Do you think this means they refund the airfare or move to the new dates for new cruise at no extra cost?

It means that if the new EZAir arrangements for the replacement trip are higher that Princess will absorb the cost.  And if they are lower you get a refund.  We've experienced the latter in years past.

I upgraded my flight on UAL. Would they reimburse that as well?

What are the pick up points at LHR?  Thinking of flying in the day before and booking hotel at LHR.

We are wavering between taking the transfer (quoted at $68pp each way) from Victoria Coach or taking the train from Waterloo to Southampton and grabbing a cab to the pier.  Also considering taking the train back to London and then the tube back to LHR as our flight doesn’t leave until 4:30 that afternoon and I don’t particularly fancy sitting in Heathrow of six or more hours (also don’t want to do a ShorEx). Anyone have any experience taking the train/tube?  And, in general, what time would the transfer leave the port for LHR?  Thank you for any input.

National Express Coach leaves from an area between T2 & T3 or just outside T5. Uber from their stop in Southampton directly to the port is around £5. Too Easy

If your flight depart late, taxi from Daikoku terminal to Yokohama City Air Terminal (YCAT) in sky bldg, under 2700 yen. Direct airport buses to Narita or Handel. No need to spend $200 on taxi fare.

I'm thinking of taking the Keikyu bus from the Yamashita stop right outside Chinatown. Thought about Red Brick Warehouse but that doesn't look as interesting as Daisekai Market.

Seriously? How can you possibly make any type of informed decision or post a "review" about *any* topic that you have not actually experienced?

So are you simply saying that unless I see the show in person, I can't have a valid opinion??

You can have an opinion based on YouTube perceptions. Kinda hard for me to take your opinion / critique on real onboard shows taken seriously JMHO

  13. These Princess shows tell a story:

    > The Secret Silk

    > Spotlight Bar (loosely)

    > 5 Skies (video game player trying to free princess, very easy to follow IMHO)

These production shows may have a story in them but hard to tell:

    > Inspired Silliness

    > Magic to Do (👎)

    > Stardust (walked out after 5 minutes)

    > Bayou

  14. @Leelooczj (note: haven't done this in Yokohama) generally I just grab the 1st cab in the long line of cabs waiting for us to disembark. They are / have been at every port waiting for cruisers and almost everywhere (except a few middle eastern countries, definitely wasn't an issue at Narita before) cabbies are regulated so fares are consistent

Any non caffinated fruit teas like Forte Raspberry, Orange Spice etc available?

Those are / were at the buffet as well as Apple .... basically the Bigelow flavors. If that is your preference you can get a few tea bags & request hot water at IC. I just like a large tea pot hot water and the IC premium tea bags for $2.50+18% tax.

ADDING: I'm a standard fare cruiser, not Plus or Premier.  Math works for me
