  1. I have a similar complaint about "timing out". If you are in a chat session for more than about 10 minutes you will get a pop-up that you're going to be logged out of the website...even though you are actively using chat. I understand why this is happening (I'm retired IT.) The chat software does not "know" about activity happening over in the main site...but I don't understand the need for them to log you out at all. So what if you take an hour to look up things in another window? (I do that all the time...)
  2. I may very well be wrong about this...but I didn't think a specialty restaurant did room service. ??
  3. I agree...doesn't seem right, but then there are other things involving "other countries" that are very different from the US. I can't explain it other than I assume it involves governmental regulations. Why else would they make it hard on themselves in "tracking" what people need from different countries?
  4. While I am the one who offered up MedJet Assist when asked about air evac...it is NORT the only travel insurance that we have. We always take the cruise line insurance (more so for the "trip protection" angle than for medical) and we also have an annual international medical coverage policy from GeoBlue Trekker. Many will say that we are "insurance poor"...but I'd rather have it that way than to not have it when we REALLY need it!
  5. Interesting story (although sad for us!) somewhat involving the Sky...although this is in no way the fault of Princess or the Sky! We were booked on the Sky for a transatlantic leaving from Fort Lauderdale early last year (March 2022). We had *always* just flown to the port on the day of embarkation (at least for domestic sailings) since it was such a short 2 flight hop to FLL. There was a CRAZY cold snap in the Southeast that day. We got to our local airport in plenty of time for our 7:00am flight...only to discover that Delta had not checked their de-icing equipment! It had been well known that this cold snap was "on the way" at least 2 days prior...but Delta employee(s) apparently didn't see the need to check their equipment. Well...long story short, our 7:00am flight left at about 12:30pm, arriving in ATL with not enough time to make it to the ship! That was our last time to fly on the day of embarking! We're booked on the Sky for the transatlantic we missed that day...just coming back from Southampton.
  6. Same as with your base cruise fare...no taxes.
  7. As in *most* marriages...I'd bet that @Greytgrey determines which is best! 😄
  8. Personally, we would not go for the deck below Lido. We are both very light sleepers and just don't want to hear them clanging deck chairs around every morning. Be sure and keep us posted on how your experiment goes!
  9. That would be the "Journey Timeline" in the app...or better (in my opinion) listed in the Patter. (Oops, I mean the "Event List". Bah, humbug!)
  10. Any number of reasons...nothing to worry about! Have seen this on more than one occasion.
  11. Check to see if you have a credit card refund....
  12. But I thought you said you were married....?
  13. For those Android users out there...I've just had a Eureka moment! I've always been scratching my head over people claiming to be able to text on their Android while on board. Well, today I decided to get to the bottom of it. For YEARS I've just been going with the flow in regards to the messaging app that I was using on my Samsung S22 (and 4 prior Samsung phones). Turns out it was the default Samsung "Messages" app. Duh! I just switched over to Google Messages (with RCS) and now I am able to text while on airplane mode! So...Don't assume that you are using the "best" app as far as what comes with your phone. I had both apps pre-installed...just never realized that there was such a huge difference in capabilities.
  14. Hmmm...been a bad boy, have we? 😄
  15. Good point! I am guilty of making the assumption that your phone will automatically connect to a land based system...maybe not. (I've never had that happen but it's certainly not impossible.)
  16. Correct. As soon as you get to a port and have access to land based cell signal you can come off of airplane mode.
  17. Sounds like the time for Room Service! (Or medallion order)
  18. Given what you're currently facing that will be easy! Especially if you have OBC that you can apply.
  19. Agreed...CG evacs are not supposed to be "chargeable"...at least to the patient. IDK what they do about traveling partners.
