  1. You did not share with us when your cruise is scheduled...or where but Princess always holds *some* rooms back in case they need to shift things around as you get closer to sail date. If this cruise is relatively soon...then a guarantee cabin may be all you can get due to a large number of cabins already booked. You said you know what cabins you want...does the website show that they are actually available?
  2. I cannot *personally* speak to whether it can be added/upgraded but I'm pretty sure others have said that you can. FYI...with tomorrow being a holiday you *might* get better luck calling tonight.
  3. Yes...just check with the steward. He/she should be able to advise you.
  4. You will need to examine (closely) deck plans in order to see what rooms are connecting rooms. There is no way via the "normal" booking process to know. You will have to get several pairs of possible rooms by looking at deck plans and then start looking to see if any of those rooms are available. Highly unlikely that you will get the type of rooms you want by going the "guaranty" route...you will need to find availability where you can actually see & pick your cabins...or phone in and have the rep assist you in what you want.
  5. We cannot tell from your screenshot what you have booked. That shot is simply the first page which "gets you started" down the path towards booking. Selecting that button at the top is NOT where you actually choose "Plus" or "Premier"...but it should be very obvious (as in "in your face") a screen or two forward in the booking process. If you have actually booked you would had to have supplied credit card info or put it on "hold". If booked...you should get the email confirmation I spoke of above.
  6. You should have received (via email) a booking confirmation which should tell you exactly what was booked. Take a look at the PDF file that is attached... Oh...and welcome to Cruise Critic!
  7. Yes...rumor has it that they always hold back a few tables for those without reservations.
  8. This is a bit different from the situation that the OP was asking about. Sometimes you can walk right in without a reservation...others you may very well have to wait a few minutes.
  9. Interesting! I've never seen the NZ/AUS plug on any Princess ship before...it's always been the "European-style" 2 prong 220v. I'm curious as to what is behind the bed? I think I would be up a creek without a paddle if it was the NZ/AUS behind the bed. I don't carry that type of adapter for my CPAP. I may need to add to my adapter collection!
  10. Ah! I stand corrected, then. Now that I think about it, we were on the CB back in Feb and they had a "pop-up" Alfredo's that did *only* pizza. I guess it makes a difference as to which ship you're talking about!
  11. Totally agree! The process *with* the medallions (in this case) really gets slowed down and they are trying to be as efficient as possible.
  12. Well...not entirely correct. They have a couple of different calzone offerings and I *thought* there was something else along the same line but they absolutely are known for their pizza. Two or three different kinds of salads and/or antipasto as well as a baked eggplant dish.
  13. Perhaps @wowzz will chime in...I believe he is currently on the Sky and giving periodic reviews.
  14. We are dealing with this exact situation...although on a different cruise line. But that doesn't matter...it is the US Gov. that has put these rules into place. The minor in question did not have a passport so we have been scrambling to get it done before cruising in July. Started the process in Feb. Hopefully this is going to work out!
  15. You simply go onto the website as if you were going to make a credit card payment. Go SLOW. There will be a checkbox or some type of selection (I don't recall exactly) to indicate that you want to use a gift card as opposed to credit card. Easy. I've never paid any attention to the points...
  16. I don't see how that submission page can work since you have much more info to supply...
  17. Take a look at the "web version" instead of the app. The app is just way too wonky for me...and it's MUCH easier to see what you're doing on a larger screen!
  18. @greener...to answer your specific question...you do it on the app. (I suppose you *could* do it by phone but it's so much easier on the app.) BUT...as @voljeep says above...you really should consider looking at the Plus fare package (NOT the "add-on" drink package.) We *always* book the Plus fare because it includes everything that we're going to do anyway... Just a suggestion!
  19. I've had some issues in the past with copying directly from the GC website. The idiosyncrasies of some websites just don't cooperate with cut/paste. The HTML "behind the scenes" will sometimes embed a hidden control character like EOL or CR. I just started printing out a hardcopy (I keep them on file until after the cruise anyway) and then *carefully* typing them in manually.
  20. AMEX is VERY good to work with in situations like this.
  21. There is another way to book excursions with OBC which allows each person to pay with their *own* OBC (assuming that both people have OBC). Book your excursion under *your* Princess account using your own OBC. Log out, log in as the second person. Book the same excursion using *that* person's OBC. Make sure that the account for the second person is set up and he/she can get into the cruise personalizer just like you before you start this method. Also...don't delay if you use this method! If the excursion is showing less than a few remaining seats you need to be quick about getting that second booking made. This is simply one way to do it while not having to phone or chat with a Princess rep.
  22. @Smitty A...Welcome to Cruise Critic! Just an FYI...you do NOT have to make dinner reservations on the app. You can do so on a desktop/laptop using the "web version". This is the only way that I make my reservations...I just think it is WAY easier to see what you're doing on a larger screen.
  23. Given all that we know about the way Princess mangles and confuses the "naming" of various things...do we really know for a fact that this "new" offering really is the "old" WD (previously $40) and they have actually raised the price? If so...that is RIDICULOUS. We always try to make the WD whenever offered on the limited ships...but will not do so if it's the same thing now at $140.
