  1. They were great when we were on the CB earlier this year.
  2. 100% agree! I don't even *try* to do it via the app.
  3. FYI...I've never been able to book for 10. If I'm not mistaken, 8 is the largest table size that shows in the app. I'm not saying they don't have tables for 10, or that they will not accommodate you...you'll just have to go through some extra steps, most like once on board as others have suggested.
  4. This appears to be an "official" Princess form: https://www.militarycruisedeals.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Reservation-Transfer-Request-Form-1.pdf
  5. We certainly do not have as many cruises under our belt as others...but I have never noticed any *significant* difference in menus on formal nights. We sometimes do a specialty restaurant on a formal night, though. You did not specifically say when your last cruise was...but I think you will find that *most* mainstream cruiselines have somewhat cut back on their food quality since the pandemic. They are all hurting for cash! But...food is VERY subjective, so you may have a different opinion, as might others.
  6. You will enjoy a balcony MUCH more! Congrats!
  7. We have done this one as well. We accompanied family members who had never cruised before at all and they said this was one of the highlights for the whole trip for them. We were scheduled to do the helicopter glacier run (again) but it got cancelled due to extreme foggy weather/low clouds. Chaoppers could not fly! The ship made it into port just fine, though.
  8. Most shows/activities do not populate into the JourneyView timeline until very close to sailing.
  9. My thought exactly! I don't think they'll be around very long. Too labor intensive to make.
  10. I had one of the "DaVincis" on the Caribbean P a couple months ago...just after they came out. I consider it one of those "one and done" type items...it was just OK but a bit ridiculous given all the "extra" stuff they stick out the top. I'm with you on the ice cream or gelato.
  11. @wowzz and @CaptainPedantic have both given the best answer...I just wanted to say "Welcome to CruiseCritic!"
  12. One of our most memorable Alaska excursions was in Juneau...helicopter trip to Mendenhall Glacier where the chopper lands on the glacier. This was NOT the "hike" excursion...that was a different listing. This one just landed and we got to walk around on the glacier for about 30 minutes. They give you boots with the small spikes so you're not sliding around at all...very stable. Yes...expensive...but we didn't think we would ever be going back. Turns out we've been back twice since!
  13. I have never been on the Enchanted, but it is of the same class/design as all the other Royal class ships. Perhaps others can chime in to confirm...
  14. We always purchase FCD on board when we have used our last on file. (You can *only* purchase them while on board a cruise.)
  15. Booking with OBC is the "default" if you show OBC in your account. You have to manually uncheck a box if you don't want to use the OBC.
  16. Surely you're not suggesting that there are cruisers who don't follow instructions....? On Princess?? 🙄
  17. I used to use that form until 2 or 3 years ago. I just put all of the info it asks for in the body of an email and attach a redacted copy of the shareholder's statement. One less form to attach & deal with.
  18. It is true...you can definitely "get a better deal" on a hotel package *if* you are only looking at the dollars. We take the stance of letting Princess handle each and every detail, along with those transfers so we just sit back and relax, knowing that we just have to show up someplace at a certain time!
  19. Keep in mind that if by some chance your FCD expires then it will be refunded *to your friends* purchase method...or by check!
  20. We are nitpicking here! 😄 You said "a link"... (that is an email address...) I know...splitting hairs!
  21. There should be no need to "insure" those items...in fact, I wouldn't have any idea how you could go about it. Unless very unusual circumstances...if you were to cancel (possible time restriction apply) theb you *should* get FCC and FCD back. Many have posted that it could take some time for either or both but it's *supposed* to happen.
  22. You cannot make SD reservations pre-cruise with OBC. We all wish! All you can do is book excursions.
  23. No...there will not be that many. We just did a partial transit in Feb. and there were 2. 4 would be for a much longer sailing.
