  1. Have used the service many times on various ships. It is pretty much the same cost on all ships. Sorry, I don't have a picture of the item sheet available right now...others have posted it before. It's not *cheap*...but it's not crazy expensive either. I tend to plan on using it so that I can pack a bit less. They usually quote a 2 day turnaround but very often you can get it back "next day" if you can get the bag handed over to your steward early in the day. I have sent men's dress-style shirts several times...they always come back on hangars and ironed. Any type of charge on the ship goes against your main shipboard account...if you have OBC then that is used up before they roll over to your credit card.
  2. I'm sure you don't want to hear it...but this is the root cause of your problems with trying to purchase Medallion Net at your proper level of discount.
  3. Interesting! I just checked for a cruise we have booked (from FLL) and it shows MIA as a possibility for transfers. Perhaps there really is no transfer for this particular sailing...but we've had bad information posted before from "Princess reps" (either phone or chat) that was outright wrong. Check in your Cruise Personalizer *yourself* and make sure.
  4. Interesting...we've sailed out of Southampton on several occasions, different ships. We've NEVER had a "kettle" in our cabin. (Usually either a balcony or mini-suite)
  5. Hey...don't make a snap decision. There might be a good story here! 😄
  6. I do not have first-hand experience doing this...but others have posted before that it was about $20/day/device.
  7. Yes, we need a bit more info to better answer your question. You will generally *always* see at least a few kids on board...but itineraries such as Alaska or Caribbean (depending on school terms, of course) you will many more younger folks.
  8. Yes, I believe it does indeed! 😄
  9. We generally book "Plus" because we want the internet (bad as it may be...) and gratuities are covered. We not *really* big drinkers but just knowing that what we would like is "covered" then it just makes sense for us. Everybody has to factor in their own situation(s).
  10. There's apparently something very seriously wrong with my personality in that I just can't let things like that pass with "making a statement"! 😄
  11. You can always cancel an excursion...
  12. Now there's an image you just can't ignore... 😄
  13. Welcome to Cruise Critic! As the others above have stated...this is a topic best covered on your particular cruise Roll Call. There you will see primarily a "captive audience" consisting of people who are actually going to be on your cruise. This is your best place for such a request.
  14. Boarding times are absolutely NOT enforced. It is just their attempt to "spread out" the rush.
  15. Yes! Princess is "guilty" of sending out refunds by check in very non-descript envelopes. Many have commented that they thought it was snail-mail spam. It does not say "Princess" anywhere on the outside of the envelope! Be careful what you pitch if you are expecting a refund!
  16. You CAN do one (or several) days at a time...but it must be done when you are on board. Go see the Internet Manager. Partial packages have never been offered via the app or even pre-app.
  17. Well...I really don't understand all of the comments downplaying the Island. We were just on her back in October for a Northern Europe sailing and we had zero issues. It was the first time we'd been on this particular ship (we've been on 8 other Princess ships as well as a handful on other lines). To give a picture of the "range" we've done...we've done the Pacific Princess all the way up to Discovery Princess...so we've seen a pretty wide range of ships/designs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Island and would not hesitate to rebook.
  18. Exactly! Are you willing to take the chance of being denied boarding just because you chose not to bring a small card with you? Maybe this scenario is not likely...but again...are you willing to take that chance? We take the physical cards as well as digital scanned images on our phones.
  19. They will mail that in a separate package... 😄
  20. No...all devices using the tethered signal just have to be near the phone. The phone could be in the theater and friends/family tethered off of it (also in the theater...seated near you) would still have WiFi.
  21. It somewhat sounds as if you did not have your onboard account set up to be covered by a credit card. Was this fully arranged when you embarked? Sounds a bit strange...
  22. This thread is several months old...sale is long gone. Once on board you can use OBC for anything.
  23. Just more evidence that the people doing the app development have probably never been on a cruise or tried to use the app to actually book a cruise of their own!
