  1. As far as these cards are viewed by Princess...they are the same as cash. They have no way of knowing (or caring) that you got them at 10% off. Use them pre-cruise for payment or on board for services there.
  2. Yes...I made a bad assumption when I posted the original post after having just bought a couple of cards for a Carnival cruise. For some reason they allow 25 cards purchased for Carnival. I (erroneously) thought they had changed the terms across the board. Apologies to everyone! (It's still a great deal...!)
  3. And that is exactly what I do...as I would imagine everybody who uses a CPAP. If you go the "Princess" way they will bring you an industrial sized extension cord which they expect you to run across the floor...plugging it into a socket at the desk. After them doing that once on my first cruise with a CPAP...I knew I had to figure out a better way. The cord they brought me was about 50 feet long!
  4. This is not a "promotion". At least not by Princess. This is solely a function of AARP discounting...but of course there's no way to say how long it will last. However...take a look at *all* of the cruise line gift cards that they offer. My personal opinion? AARP realizes that its members gravitate to this type of offering (travel...not just saving 10%). But then again...you don't have to be an AARP member to purchase...just sign up for AARP Rewards. As best I can tell there is no expiration...but I tend to purchase cards as I need them. You will get an email within about 5 minutes with a link to your "e-card".
  5. Here is what I am using: https://www.amazon.com/European-Adapter-Adaptor-Countries-Netherlands/dp/B008JCVF0U/ref=sr_1_130?crid=LOKKQXXYM2BU&keywords=european%2Badapter&qid=1675614786&sprefix=european%2Badapter%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-130&th=1 These exact plugs are no longer available on Amazon but you should be able to find an equivalent most anywhere...evan at a local hardware store.
  6. I have not personally sailed the Enchanted (yet) but all of the newer ships that I *have* sailed have a European style 2 prong 220 volt outlet located behind the bed. I use a CPAP as well...I have an inexpensive adapter from Amazon that converts the outlet style to a standard US-style socket, as well as giving you a place to plug in whatever was originally plugged into this location (usually a nightstand lamp.) I extend this (when needed) with a very small US-style plug strip that has 3 or 4 outlets. (Note: Do not use a surge protector...these are not allowed on ships and will be confiscated.) One of the first things I do when getting into a cabin is pull out the bed (about 12 inches) from the wall and arrange the adapters. That way you do not have to worry with extension cords running across the floor, creating a trip hazard. I will try to post pictures and links of what I use in a little while.
  7. I've been looking at the Westin Long Beach for a pre-cruise stay (only 1 night). Rates look pretty good... Should I be looking at anything else? Any sites with a shuttle (either to the cruise terminal or from LAX?) First time debarking from LA area!
  8. Are you asking about something specific or just curious?
  9. My apologies!! I've been buying for more than just Princess. I just paid off a Princess cruise and started working on a Carnival cruise I have booked with grandkids. Those cards allow 25,,, I just assumed (I know...) Sorry if I've led anybody astray. I don't know why Carnival cards would be considered "premium" while Princess are "standard".
  10. I have paid off a complete cruise (minus the FCD used) with these cards and have almost paid off another (minus a credit card deposit). Yes...keep the printouts and copies of the original email...just in case!
  11. I logged onto AARP today to purchase a couple of gift cards today. They have changed the "notice" about there being a limit of 5 GC purchases a month. It now says 25!
  12. OK guys...this is getting way too far out of line...
  13. I can't comment on the Crown drydock issue...I'm sure someone else will jump in. I regards to the mini-suite...keep in mind that a "mini-suite" does NOT have the same perks as a full suite. Many people get their feathers ruffled with the name of that category of cabin because of this. A Suite has many upper scale perks that a MS does not.
  14. You've lost me...In the web version you have to click on individual dates to see that *one* reservation. How are you getting more than one res on a page?
  15. With JV you spend all your time just panning up, down, left & right just trying to find anything because you cannot see the entire day or evening's activities.
  16. In my personal opinion...Journey View is next to useless. You can get so much more functionality by just opening your browser to: shipname.princess.com Example: grand.princess.com You'll get the "old" web-based system that (in my opinion) is MUCH easier to navigate. DON'T buy a new phone!
  17. I heard it will be right next to the Taco Bell....
  18. Hah! I must have hit "post" a couple of seconds before you did.... My point exactly!
  19. My original goal was to get some type of "official" printout in case something were to "happen" to my reservations. Appreciate all the suggestions to serve as "reminders"...I'll just do individual screenshots directly from the App "web version".
  20. Yeah...that's what I was afraid of. Princess web developers strike again!
  21. Have never been on the Emerald (yet) but every ship that I have been on there has been a two prong 220 volt European style outlet. You should plan on taking an adapter.
  22. We have flown out of (and through) CDG several times...there is no problem finding English at gate/ticket counters.
  23. I hate to ask a question like this... Is there any way to get a hardcopy of existing dining reservations other than doing a screenshot of each individual night in the online web version?
  24. OK...but the big question is "Did a refund show up on your credit card?"
