  1. My apologies! I misunderstood what the OP was saying. I have a Kindle and I download several books before each cruise so it also "works without WiFi" since they are already saved in local storage. I'm not familiar with Libby...I thought *maybe* it required cloud access or some such arrangement. I think I understand now...it sounds like the same way the Kindle works. I have no suggestions as to why it would be finicky. Sorry!
  2. You *should* get an email directly from AON once they have "blessed" your claim. At that point it is turned over to Princess (by AON...nothing for you to do) and then you generally have another potential delay in the credits showing up on your account. I may be wrong...but I don't think Princess ever sends out any communication when they have applied to your account; it just shows up. Keep an eye out for that email from AON.
  3. As others have stated, we have never had an issue either getting an actual reservation or just walking up with no reservation at all when on board. I cannot speak with absolute authority...but it certainly seems that they do in fact always have a few tables "held back".
  4. Sorry! I missed the comment from MissP22 in reference to the Grand "being the first". Yeah, I've not heard anything about a potential list. Can't wait, though!
  5. You must have a very unusual app that can work without WiFi!
  6. That's more evidence that everybody is booking direct with the tour company...
  7. Where are you? Location/itinerary can make all the difference as far as internet response.
  8. That is...until those "wet behind the ears marketing majors" get wind of it...

  10. If you *know* that you're going to be cruising with Princess again (of course we are!) then buying the FCDs are a great deal. They serve as your next cruise deposit and you get extra OBC that you may not get through a "normal" (i.e. FCD) booking.
  11. Actually...I'm pretty sure that the ship has its own satellite channel for the critical/important comms that they require.
  12. We have gone through AON twice now...and both times it took about 6-8 weeks for resolution. I think you will get some type of response within the next couple of weeks. Give it some (more) time.
  13. This appears to be a duplicate post...your answers are in the other posting.
  14. You'll have a bit of time to kill at the airport, but as far as the timing goes this is not bad at all. As @PacnGoNowstates (and I'm sure you're aware) you need to check in for international flights very early. That gives you plenty of time to grab a bite to eat or just relax.
  15. Perhaps it changed *after* our October sailing?
  16. Perhaps it's just me...but you're going to have to give us some context as to what you are asking. If you *are* happy with your PVP...why do you need to contact anyone else?
  17. Perhaps you could share what the itinerary is...that can make all the difference.
  18. We sailed on the Island back in October...I thought it was fine. Had it several times. (Maybe I just have a very low bar for comparison! 😄)
  19. When I heard how big this sucker was I immediately thought "Ummm...no." We did a cruise on RCCL (Oasis of the Seas) and were completely turned off by the sheer number of people. I doubt that we will be doing anything on the Sun. Hey, I *know* that I'm either going to have to eventually accept that all of the mainstream cruise lines are "going big". If it comes to that point where that is all the choice we have I may very well have to jump ship and go with another line. We only made one cruise on the Pacific Princess (as it turns out, it was its very last cruise with Princess) and we had already decided that she had become our favorite ship! Imagine our disappointment when they sold her near the beginning of the pandemic. She went to Azamara. That line takes a bigger chunk out of your wallet...we may have to just cut back on our number of cruises in order to sail what we like better. But...we're not there yet! (Thankfully)
  20. I think you will find that they just automatically do housekeeping twice without asking. And...no more chocolates! 🙄
  21. I can only imagine...! 😄 Sorry...couldn't resist!
  22. I have the same credentials for the web as I do for the App. Have never had any of the issues that some people are reporting. It just seems logical (to me, anyway) to use the same set. The retired IT guy in me totally understands that they are 2 different systems and as such *can* have different creds...but why? Why not try to get your App creds to match the web?
  23. Many of the larger/more reputable car services keep tabs on such arrivals (as they do with airport arrivals) so you may not have to worry about a last minute change. I know Blackberry Cars does so...
